Hot on the heels of the first clip, which debuted a couple of hours ago, we now have yet another one-sheet on tap for you cats from the upcoming flick Hitchcock, starring Anthony Hopkins as the truly iconic director. Look for it in theatres on November 23rd.

The film, which is billed as “a love story about one of the most influential filmmakers of the last century, Alfred Hitchcock, and his wife and partner, Alma Reville,” takes place during the making of Hitchcock’s seminal movie Psycho. Anthony Hopkins plays Hitchcock, and Helen Mirren stars as his wife. Scarlett Johansson, Danny Huston, Toni Collette, Jessica Biel, Michael Stuhlbarg, James D’Arcy, Michael Wincott, Richard Portnow, and Kurtwood Smith also star.

The project is based on the non-fiction book by Stephen Rebello that tracks how Hitchcock, at the height of his game as a director, decided to make a “lowly” horror movie. No studio wanted to touch it initially so Hitchcock scrounged for financing by himself. The movie, of course, became one of his biggest hits and one of the most influential of all time.

Claudia Lewis, President of Production, and David Greenbaum, Senior Vice President of Production, are overseeing the project for Fox Searchlight Pictures, which opens in select theaters starting November 23rd.

Thanks in part to a clever trailer, fans have really warmed up to the zombie romance flick known as Warm Bodies. In case you missed the preview, we have it for you here along with a new poster. Check 'em out!

Starring Nicholas Hoult, Rob Corddry, Teresa Palmer, and John Malkovich, the film follows an existentially tormented zombie named "R" who begins an unlikely friendship with the girlfriend of one of his victims. It starts a chain reaction that will transform him, his fellow zombies, and maybe the whole undead world.

Check out Warm Bodies in theatres on February 1, 2013.

Synopsis
Zombies love people, especially their brains. But R (Nicholas Hoult) is different. He’s alive inside, unlike the hundreds of other grunting, drooling undead — all victims of a recent plague that drove the remaining survivors into a heavily guarded city. Now the Zombies roam about an airport terminal, searching for human prey and living in fear of the vicious Boneys, the next undead incarnation.

One day, R and his best friend M lumber toward the city in search of food. There, R first sets his eyes on JULIE (Teresa Palmer), a beautiful human. Determined to save her—first from the other Zombies and then from the Boneys—R hides her in his home, a cluttered 747 aircraft. Julie is terrified, and R’s grunted assurances of “Not…eat” do little to calm her. But when R begins to act more human than Zombie, coming to her defense, refusing to eat human flesh, and even speaking in full sentences, Julie realizes that R is special.

After a few close calls with the Boneys, and with her father mounting an armed search for her, Julie realizes she can’t hide forever. So she sneaks back home, leaving R broken-hearted. Desperate to see her, R decides to comb his hair, stand a little straighter, and impersonate a human long enough to get past the city guards. If only he can prove to the humans that Zombies can change, maybe R and Julie’s love might stand a chance. But with the rampaging Boneys heading toward the city and Julie’s father intent on killing R and his Zombie friends, the stage is set for an all-out battle between the living and the undead.

A genre-bending tale of love and transformation, WARM BODIES is a story about a boy who loves a girl…for more than just her body.

Guillermo del Toro Talks The Strain Television Series

Another project is on its way from the ever so prolific Guillermo del Toro, and we have the skinny for you regarding the television adaptation of The Strain right here. Read on for the latest.

MTV caught up with Del Toro, who offered the following update:

"We're planning to shoot the pilot in August. Pacific Rim comes out in July. Right after Pacific Rim we go into pilot shooting. We are already prepping the pilot starting next week. The pilot has been approved so it's green-lit. It's not a matter of if; it's a matter of when. Our expectations are for FX to move ahead with the series next fall and winter and for the series to air in 2014."

"Basically I'm trying to do what I do in my movies, which is to show it as a reality, but as a reality that is stylized. It's not like 'CSI' or 'The Wire'; it's real, but it feels a little stylized. But the way the camera work will be is very realistic. We want to keep the camera very documentary even if the look of the show is not. The look of the show is very designed. The style of the camera and the storytelling will be very loose. It will evolve from that feel of reality, and little by little we want to evolve into a more stylish, horror feel that requires smoother camera moves, more suspense and atmosphere-driven moments so it will be a mixture. I don't think that mixture has been seen a lot on TV."

Del Toro envisions "The Strain" as an event series that would have a clearly defined end date. The project is a favorite of del Toro, who spent years developing his own unique spin on vampire mythology for the books. The first of the series bowed in 2009.

"These are very scary vampires," said showrunner Carlton Cuse. "These are not romantic vampires. They will give you nightmares."

Amen to that!

FX Renews American Horror Story for a Third Chapter; Jessica Lange and Others ReturningGood news for fans of "American Horror Story" on FX: The network has picked up the Ryan Murphy/Brad Falchuk series for a third season, and as we saw for Chapter 2, "Asylum," many of the cast members will be returning for Chapter 3.

From the Press Release:
FX has ordered the next book of the award-winning miniseries "American Horror Story," picking up 13 hours of a new miniseries from Twentieth Century Fox Television, it was announced by John Landgraf, President and General Manager of FX Networks. Production of the untitled "AHS" will begin next summer and premiere in the fall of 2013.

"American Horror Story: Asylum," the latest hit in the "American Horror Story" saga, wraps up its run on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at 10 PM E/P. Last night's episode (11/14/12) of "Asylum" topped all broadcast networks in the 10 PM time period in delivery of Adults 18-34 (2.1), Women 18-34 (2.4) and Men 18-34 (1.7). "Asylum" also ranked #3 among Adults 18-34 in primetime versus all broadcast programs behind "Modern Family" (3.3) and "The X Factor" (2.7). The episode grew +30% versus prior week in Adults 18-34, driven by a +45% gain among Women 18-34, and it also posted a +9% increase in Adults 18-49 (Live+Same Day ratings, Fast Nationals, subject to change).

"With 'American Horror Story: Asylum,' Ryan and Brad have raised the bar in every way from 'Murder House,' the first 'American Horror Story' miniseries," said Landgraf. "And their original idea—the notion of doing an anthological series of miniseries with a repertory cast—has proven groundbreaking, wildly successful and will prove to be trendsetting. We can't wait to see what deviously brilliant ideas they come up with for their third miniseries."

Co-Creators/Executive Producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have not announced the new title or story for the next incarnation of the "American Horror Story" franchise. As was the case with "American Horror Story" and "American Horror Story: Asylum," many of the actors will return in different roles next year, including star Jessica Lange, who won Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild and Emmy awards for her portrayal of "Constance Langdon" in "American Horror Story." Starring as "Sister Jude" in AHS: Asylum, Lange will be moving to the Lead Actress category in the Golden Globe and Emmy awards this year.

"The 'American Horror Story' anthology is a labor of love for all of us, and we could not be prouder of the work our brilliant company of actors and everyone on the production team is doing this year," said Murphy. "To John and our friends at FX and Dana Walden and Gary Newman at 20th, we thank you for your vote of confidence -- and to our loyal audience, keep watching!"

Following the success of the inaugural miniseries "American Horror Story," the award-winning Co-Creator/Executive Producer/Writer/Director Murphy announced that "AHS" would be a new show every year with no relation to any prior version. Each book will feature an entirely different theme, setting and characters, even though many of the actors will return to the program in entirely new roles.

The ratings for "AHS: Asylum" are showing double-digit percentage growth in every demo compared to its predecessor, "American Horror Story," pacing +19% ahead of prior year in Adults 18-49 (see complete ratings data set at the bottom of this email). On a Live+7 basis, "Asylum" is averaging 5.23 million Total Viewers, 3.88 Million Adults 18-49, and 2.40 million Adults 18-34, which reflect respective gains of +19% in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 and +22% in Adults 18-34. The program's highest growth is among Women 18-49 and Men 18-34, each up +24% over prior year."American Horror Story: Asylum" is delivering one of the highest audience compositions of Adults 18-49 with an average of 74% of its total audience falling within that demo. The median age of the audience for "AHS: Asylum" is 33 years old, and "AHS: Asylum" is one of the top-rated dramas on television in delivery of Adults 18-34 with a 3.54 national rating inclusive of Live+7 viewing. Live+Same Day viewing is up versus prior year, and Live+7 viewing has increased over prior year (+56%) off of a larger base audience.

Cast Filling Out to Clown Around for Eli RothNews comes from the strangest places sometimes. Case in point: the Niagara Falls Review, which is reporting that seven-year-old Niagara Falls native Christian Distefano is currently in Ottawa filming the spook flick Clown, produced by Eli Roth.

The film co-stars Elizabeth Whitmere and Matthew Stefiuk.

Jon Watts is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Christopher D. Ford. It became an internet “thing” when a spoof trailer circulated back in 2011. In the film “a loving father dons a clown outfit, wig, bulbous nose, and pancake makeup to entertain at his son, Jack’s (Distefano), sixth birthday after the clown-for-hire is a no-show. Unable to take off the clown garb, dad’s personality changes in horrific fashion. He and his family race to break the curse of the evil outfit before he undergoes a complete transformation into a homicidal killer with over-sized shoes.

It was back in July when we first got word that CBS Films had secured the screen rights to the iconic Deus Ex video game franchise from Square Enix, and now we know who will be writing and directing Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

From the Press Release:
CBS Films has announced that Scott Derrickson (Sinister, The Exorcism of Emily Rose) will direct the screen adaptation of the iconic Square Enix video game Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Derrickson will also write the screenplay for the film with C. Robert Cargill (Sinister). Roy Lee and Adrian Askarieh are attached to produce with John P. Middleton serving as Executive Producer. Executive Vice President of Production Maria Faillace and Creative Executive Alex Ginno are overseeing the project for CBS Films.

Set in the near future, when dramatic advances in science, specifically human augmentation, have triggered a technological renaissance, Deus Ex: Human Revolution follows Adam Jensen, an ex-SWAT security specialist who must embrace mechanical augments in order to unravel a global conspiracy.

"Deus Ex is a phenomenal cyberpunk game with soul and intelligence,” said Derrickson, who continued, “By combining amazing action and tension with big, philosophical ideas, Deus Ex is smart, ballsy, and will make one hell of a movie. Cargill and I can't wait to bring it to the big screen."

The Deus Ex franchise was originally introduced in June 2000. Its latest entry, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, launched to universal acclaim in 2011, ranking #1 across global sales charts and earning over 100 industry awards. Developed by Eidos-Montréal and published by Square Enix, Deus Ex: Human Revolution will serve as the primary template for the film.

Carrie director Kimberly Peirce recently sat down for an interview with Spinoff Online regarding her version for the climactic ending of her upcoming retelling of the classic Stephen King tale, and we've got the skinny for you right here.

Peirce spoke with original director Brian De Palma about changing the ending of the film. “Well, Brian said to me, 'So what are you gonna do about that end?' And I was like, 'Brian, I know you revolutionized cinema…' [laughs] Of course it’s on my mind! I’m not blind to the brilliance of his movie, but I’m also not blind to the fact that I can’t go down a road that he’s done. You have to be mindful. And I just don’t think you have to try to duplicate something that is so unique and so brilliant and revolutionized cinema. I mean, maybe I should be bolder and do it, but I think I’m a little too wise to. So I think you do something different, I think you just make sure your movie is what it is and that it fires on all cylinders as much as you can. And if you find yourself in a situation where you can top it, do it. But you probably won’t.

Look for Carrie in theatres March 15, 2013. For more information visit WhatHappenedToCarrie.com!

Synopsis:
A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.

The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine, is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White (Moore) and her daughter, Carrie (Moretz). Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin (Judy Greer) tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson (Portia Doubleday, Youth in Revolt), but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell (Gabriella Wilde, The Three Musketeers), regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross (newcomer Ansel Elgort), to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc. Brian De Palma’s 1976 film version of CARRIE earned Oscar nominations for stars Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie.

MGM and Screen Gems’ CARRIE is directed by Kim Peirce and produced by Kevin Misher (Public Enemies). J. Miles Dale (The Vow) serves as executive producer, and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Big Love) wrote the script from King’s original story. CARRIE’s creative team includes Director of Photography Steve Yedlin (Looper), Production Designer Carol Spier (Eastern Promises), Costume Designer Luis Sequeira (The Thing), and Editor Lee Percy (Boys Don’t Cry).

The Dinosaur vs. Human battle is under way as Primal Carnage is now available for PC. Those of you who are bloodthirsty for more will be able to quench your hunger with tons of FREE DLC that is on its way.

If you are looking for additional game modes, character skins and much more, then here is your one-stop gorgefest!

From the Press Release
While tens of thousands of gamers around the world are already enjoying the Human vs. Dinosaur frag-fest known as Primal Carnage, the cry for more content has not gone unnoticed. Answering the call, Reverb Publishing and Lukewarm Media are pleased to announce that Primal Carnage will be getting a slew of new content, the first of which is an all-new objective-based mode code named “Get to the Chopper” and a brand-new mode specific map. The first of many planned game updates, this 100 percent FREE content will introduce new modes and maps when it rears its head later this month.

In addition to all planned free game updates, Primal Carnage will periodically be releasing alternative character skin packs. The first will also arrive later this month in the form of five new skins, one for each of the playable Dinosaur classes.

“Our goal with Primal Carnage was to make the best dinosaur video game to date, and according to the reviews, we’ve done just that – but we are FAR from done,” said Ashton Anderson, lead designer and founder of Lukewarm Media. “Gamers are hungry for more content and today we reveal not only these character skin updates, but also ‘Get to the Chopper’, the first of several additional game modes that will be offered absolutely free to our players. Primal Carnage and its community are looking forward to solidifying our foothold as a stellar multiplayer experience unlike anything else on the market.”

“Get to the Chopper” will be the first mode added to Primal Carnage, the premise of which is deceptively simple. The Human team must work together to make its way along a linear path to the chopper waiting for them at the other end. However, this is Primal Carnage so as always there is one rather large obstacle – Dinosaurs. The Dinosaur team must also work together to pick off the Human team one by one and prevent it from reaching the chopper extraction point. Who will emerge victorious in the tug of war between man and beast?

Primal Carnage is available now at PrimalCarnage.com, Rain DG, Steam, GameStop, and GamersGate, and is the highest-reviewed dinosaur title of all time. Dinosaurs take center stage in this class-based, online multiplayer shooter featuring fast-paced combat between a team of humans brave enough to stand toe-to-toe with hordes of some of the most vicious beasts ever to walk the face of the earth. Players can choose to take on both sides of the battle as either the Human class utilizing an arsenal of distinct and unique weaponry or inhabit the body of one of these menacing and powerful Dinosaurs intent on leaving a trail of blood and destruction in their wake.

You can visit the official Primal Carnage website to learn more about the game.
