In case you're still on the fence with regard to Beautiful Creatures, which opens on February 13th, we have an extended TV spot for the film to share. We're thinking it could make a perfect Valentine's Day date.

Synopsis:
A supernatural love story set in the South, Beautiful Creatures tells the tale of two star-crossed lovers: Ethan (Alden Ehrenreich), a young man longing to escape his small town, and Lena (Alice Englert), a mysterious new girl. Together they uncover dark secrets about their respective families, their history, and their town.

Oscar nominee Richard LaGravenese (The Fisher King, P.S. I Love You) directs from his adaptation of the first novel in the best-selling series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. The film stars Alden Ehrenreich (Tetro), newcomer Alice Englert, Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons (Reversal of Fortune) Oscar nominee Viola Davis (The Help, Doubt), Emmy Rossum (TV's "Shameless"), and Academy Award winner Emma Thompson (Howard's End, Sense and Sensibility).

Margo Martindale plays Lena's Aunt Del, who helps to protect her from the family's dark side, and Zoey Deutch portrays Emily Asher, Ethan's ex-girlfriend and the ringleader of the high school's popular clique that conspires against Lena. The film co-stars Kyle Gallner and Thomas Mann.

Hot on the heels of yesterday's announcement that Michael and Shawn Rasmussen's Dark Feed had been picked up for distribution, the sinister siblings dropped us a line with the first word on and a bit of teaser art for their next project, The Inhabitants, on which they just wrapped production.

Written and directed by the Rasmussens, The Inhabitants stars Michael Reed and Elise Couture Stone. They told us that with regard to the film, "This one is quite different from Dark Feed. It's more of a throwback to some of our favorite horror films from the 70's. Films like The Changeling, Rosemary's Baby, The Haunting of Julia, and of course The Shining."

At the end of last year we got the first word on the beta for upcoming ARPG Akaneiro: Demon Hunters, and now Spicy Horse Studios and Dark Horse Comics have announced that this soon-to-be-released game will be expanding into comics.

An original story expanding the universe of Akaneiro, featuring covers by the Spicy Horse artists creating the game, this three-issue comics series debuts on May 22!

Today's a big day for Norwegian helmers Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, whose Kon-Tiki was just nominated for a Best Foreign Language Film Oscar. They are also near a deal to make their Hollywood debut.

Per Deadline, they are signing a seven-figure pact to direct Spectral for Legendary Pictures. The script, based on a treatment by Ian Fried and with a most recent script draft by Jayson Rothwell, is being viewed as a potential franchise.

When we heard of Spectral previously, the description was as follows: Centered on a modern-day, militaristic, and gritty approach to fighting the supernatural, it is a darker and more serious take on a Ghostbusters-like story, with a plot that revolves around a special ops group formed to bring down evil ghosts that have taken over Manhattan.

Now that the directors have been found, look for more soon!

Alrighty, kids. The candy laden road has led directly to a house full of imagery in support of Tommy Wirkola's Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters and we have nearly a dozen bits of spell-casting goodness for you.

Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton star as the famous siblings, and the storyline picks up 15 years after their traumatic gingerbread house incident, which provoked them to become witch bounty hunters. Famke Janssen, Peter Stormare, Thomas Mann, Derek Mears, and Ingrid Bolsø Berdal also star.

Synopsis
In an outrageous send-up of the Paranormal Activity movies, The Devil Inside and other "found footage" movies, A Haunted House features young couple Malcolm (Marlon Wayans) and Kisha (Essence Atkins), who have just moved in to their dream house. As they settle in, they quickly find they’re not alone. But it’s not the house that’s haunted; it’s Malcolm’s girlfriend who is possessed by a demon. Professor Shane (guest star David Alpay) continues to encourage Bonnie to believe in her powers, but he soon finds himself in danger when he reveals too much to the wrong person.

Telltale Games has released a new episode of Playing Dead, in which the developers discuss behind-the-scene details of the final episode, No Time Left. As an added treat, players also get a bonus episode with Terry McGovern, who plays Larry in The Walking Dead.

In today's final episode, 'It All Ends Here,' host A.J. LoCascio sits down with developers Sean Vanman, Jake Rodkin and Sean Ainsworth to discuss the process behind making the final episode of the game's first season, 'No Time Left.'

We've been waiting several months for the continuation of Robert Michael Ryan's post-apocalyptic web series Revelations, but finally Episode 3 has arrived! Check it out here along with Eps. 1 and 2 in case you missed them.

The story takes place after the Rapture has occurred and follows a particular two survivors -- Dana, played by Marlene Mc'Cohen (Vampire Boys, Alice in Murderland), and Jeremy, played by Cuyle Carvin (Assault of the Sasquatch, Blood Moon) -- and their attempt to get out of town, find other survivors, and seek some kind of safety - which may or may not exist.

Episode 3, entitled "The Road Less Traveled," also features Wil Gelin as Darius.

The first trailer for Ghost Team One arrived online today in honor of the film's premiere at Slamdance 2013, which will be taking place opposite Sundance on January 18-24 in Park City, Utah, at the Treasure Mountain Inn. Dig it!

Ben Peyser and Scott Rutherford’s Ghost Team One stars Carlos Santos, Fernanda Romero, J.R. Villarreal, Meghan Folcone, Tony Cavalero, James Babson, Scott MacArthur, and Craig Stott. It’s a subversive, comedic take on the found footage genre wherein two roommates deathly afraid of ghosts both fall in love with a girl who believes their home is haunted.

Synopsis
In order to impress a girl, two roommates set out to make a documentary about a murder that took place in their house decades ago. The girl thinks that the victim’s ghost still resides there, and the two guys think that making a movie with her will get them laid. But after setting cameras up around the house, the legitimately supernatural occurrences that follow make it apparent that the ghost is not only real, but that she’s a vengeful Vietnamese madame from the 1930’s that’s become smitten with our guys.

Some interesting news has come in regarding a possible spin-off of The CW's uber popular series "The Vampire Diaries" that would be centered around and be called "The Originals." Read on for the details!

Per THR's The Live Feed, the potential new series would be an offshoot revolving around the Original family led by Klaus (Joseph Morgan), which will be set up in an episode slated to air April 25th. Executive producer Julie Plec, who will write the episode, is shepherding the spinoff with Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo as executive producers.

In said episode Klaus returns to the supernatural melting pot that is the French Quarter of New Orleans, a town he helped build centuries ago, and is reunited with his diabolical former protege Marcel. Phoebe Tonkin, formerly of "The Secret Circle," who joined "TVD" this season in the pivotal recurring role of werewolf Haley, will also star.

If taking the Originals out of the equation for a while helps "The Vampire Diaries" get back on track, we're all for it! Look for more soon.

When? That's the question that's been on the minds of fans of the Jurassic Park franchise since the end credits rolled on Part III. Today, finally, the answer has come, and 2014 is looking to be the year when dinosaurs ruled the Earth.

Variety reports that Universal Pictures and Steven Spielberg are ready to re-open the famous park, setting a June 13, 2014, release date for Jurassic Park 4 3D. As of right now Steven Spielberg is only on as a producer, and plot details are being kept under wraps. Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver penned the script.

Word came in today on a new horror/sci-fi project that looks pretty interesting so of course we want to share it. Check out the artwork, teaser trailer, a few stills, and first details on Alienate, written by Rick Hansberry and directed by Michael Shumway.

The film stars Blake Webb, Tatum Langton, Keith Hottinger, Marlys Miller-Fladeland, Cuyle Carvin, Jack Diamond, Brandyn Cross, Nathan Day, Sue Rowe, and Tye Nelson. Producers are Shumway and Lester Lauritzen.

Carvin told us a little about the project and why he signed on: "It's going to be a fantastic film. I was attracted to it for a few reasons. I had worked with Rick Hansberry before and already knew it would be an awesome story and well written. Michael Shumway - director, producer, composer - is incredibly talented across the board, and I knew I had to get to know this guy. And I'm such a sucker for any kind of horror or sci-fi. The story has elements of sci-fi, horror, and drama. The title has multiple meanings as well: obviously the invasion of some kind of alien but also by its definition - to cause to become unfriendly or hostile - which you see happens to the characters in this film."

Synopsis:
At the end of his marriage, David (Webb) leaves on a business trip to give his wife, Amy (Langton), some much needed space. When airplanes start mysteriously falling out of the sky and cell towers fail across the nation, he finds himself trapped. With the Earth falling to an alien invasion, David fights to return to whatever is left of home.

While the wait for the return of "Grimm" drags on, NBC has released a new video highlighting the "bromance" between Nick and Monroe. These two have a relationship so unconventional, it had to be fate. It's not every day you come across a Blutbad who's best friends with a Grimm!

"Grimm" returns with Episode 2.13 on March 18th.

Series Synopsis:
"Grimm" is inspired by the classic Grimm Brothers' Fairy Tales. After Portland Homicide Detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) discovers he's descended from an elite line of criminal profilers known as "Grimms," he increasingly finds his responsibilities as a detective at odds with his new responsibilities as a "Grimm."

With help from his confidants, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) - both reformed Grimm creatures, Nick must help those closest to him while still facing off against all manner of ancient evils, including royal lines dating back to the original profilers themselves, the Grimm Brothers. As Nick develops his ability to harness his inner Grimm, he begins to question what he once knew.

Last November we got word that the duo behind Skyfall, co-writer John Logan and director Sam Mendes, were working on something for TV, and now that the project has found a home at Showtime, we have a few more details.

Per Deadline, the pay cable network, flying high on the critical success of "Homeland," has landed the pair's high-concept drama project, which Logan and Mendes took out to premium cable networks in November as a spec written by Logan. Deals are still being finalized, but the word is that the project is eying a straight-to-series order at Showtime, with Mendes expected to direct. This would mark both Logan and Mendes’ series debut. They are executive producing the show with Pippa Harris, Mendes’ partner at Neal Street Prods.

The untitled drama, which has undergone some tweaking from the original spec to tailor it to Showtime's audience (our prior story is here if you're curious), is described as "a psychological horror drama series with literary underpinnings, including Dr. Frankenstein and his creature, set in the 1800s."
