Synopsis
Continuing where the first film left off, Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell) is found terrified and alone in rural Louisiana. Back in the relative safety of New Orleans, Nell realizes that she can't remember entire portions of the previous months only that she is the last surviving member of her family. Just as Nell begins the difficult process of starting a new life, the evil force that once possessed her is back with other, unimaginably horrific plans that mean her last exorcism was just the beginning.

Rubberneck is directed and co-written (with Garth Donovan) by Alex Karpovsky, who also stars in the film. Created as a way to pay homage to and celebrate the spirit of independent filmmaking and those unafraid to take risks with their storytelling, CineMayhem's diverse and often genre-bending line-up includes advance screenings of two highly anticipated genre projects - Magnet Releasing's visceral horror anthology THE ABCs OF DEATH and Breaking Glass Pictures' latest thriller K-11 directed by Jules Stewart (Crank: High Voltage, Mortal Kombat) - as well as a retro screening of Scott Glosserman's BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON.

With all the comic book to film adaptations coming our way, Titan Comics has announced a new series that we're ready to get down on our knees and beg the studios to adapt. Seriously, this is all we want for Christmas.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Titan Comics' new series Chronos Commandos: Dawn Patrol offers a potentially fun time-traveling wallop, featuring dinosaurs, Nazis and Albert Einstein with a machine gun! Yes, Albert friggin' Einstein with a machine gun!

The creator-owned five-issue miniseries launches in July from 2000AD artist Stuart Jennett. The alternate history story imagines the course of World War II altered when the Allies and Nazis develop "time-diving technology" than can bring dinosaurs to the present. Jennett centers his story on a cigar-chomping Allied sergeant and his misfit crew who fight to counter the Nazis' time incursions.

“Chronos Commandos: Dawn Patrol is my unapologetic love letter to a childhood obsessed with WWII, dinosaurs and anything sci-fi and fantasy related -- movies, comic books and pulp novels,” said Jennett in a statement.

Everyone is horrified when Bonnie (Kat Graham) reveals the rest of Shane’s (guest star David Alpay) plan. Finally, after Damon does his best to help her, Elena comes up with a plan of her own.

IFC Midnight has acquired all North American and UK rights to director Chris James Thompson’s documentary THE JEFFREY DAHMER FILES. Thompson also produced the film with Jack Turner and co-wrote the screenplay with Andrew Swant and Joe Riepenhoff. Chris Smith and Barry Poltermann executive produced the project, which world premiered in competition at the 2012 SXSW Film Festival and also played the 2012 Hot Docs Film Festival in Toronto.

In 1991 Jeffrey Dahmer was arrested in Milwaukee and sentenced to 957 years in prison for killing 17 people and dismembering their bodies. THE JEFFREY DAHMER FILES is a documentary that explores the city of Milwaukee by meeting those surrounding Dahmer during and after his hidden spree. Recollections from Milwaukee Medical Examiner Jeffrey Jentzen, Police Detective Patrick Kennedy, and neighbor Pamela Bass are interwoven with archival footage and everyday scenes from Dahmer’s life, working collectively to disassemble the facade of an ordinary man leading an ordinary existence.

Jonathan Sehring, President of Sundance Selects/IFC Films, said: “Chris James Thompson has made one of the creepiest documentaries of the year that lingers in the mind long after the film has ended. He’s approached the well-known subject of Jeffrey Dahmer in a new and inventive way that managed to completely unnerve us. It also promises you will never eat a sandwich quite the same way. In the new novel Supernatural: Fresh Meat (releasing February 19th from Titan Books), Sam and Dean must solve a mystery in Sierra Nevada regarding a monster with a craving for human flesh.

We recently talked with author Alice Henderson about the book and how it ties in with "Supernatural" the television show.

AMANDA DYAR:Supernatural: Fresh Meat follows Sam and Dean Winchester in a new adventure set during the events of Season 7. How will this new novel tie in with the television show, and what pleasant surprises await fans in your book?

ALICE HENDERSON:Fresh Meat takes place earlier in Season 7. I really wanted to have Bobby in the novel and have the three of them experience an outdoor adventure together. Bobby's a great tracker, and I liked the idea of putting him and the brothers into the same wilderness area where the Donner Party met its deadly troubles. Some aspects I hope readers will enjoy are more time with the awesome Bobby, suspenseful action as the brothers face incredible obstacles in the mountains, and some mysterious supernatural foes.

AMANDA:Supernatural: Fresh Meat will have our heroes doing battle with a mysterious monster deep within the Sierra Nevada Mountains. How did you go about choosing a supernatural foe for your novel, and how did you know when you found the perfect fit?

ALICE: I have a Master's Degree in folklore, and my graduate research involved folkloric and mythological creatures. So choosing the monsters for Bobby, Dean, and Sam to fight was like trying to pick which exotic city I want to visit first on a worldwide tour. So many amazing options exist. I don't want to give anything away so I will just say that they encounter a few strange monsters out there in the snowy mountains. I wanted to pit the characters against not only a formidable enemy but the elements as well. I knew what I'd created was the right fit because it would be a disastrous challenge for them to face in the midst of a blizzard.

AMANDA: Each episode of the "Supernatural" television story is like a different story of its own. What are the main differences between your novel and an episode of the show, and what does the literary format allow you to get across to readers that wouldn't work the same on television?

ALICE:One really great thing about a novel is that there are no budget limits for action, creature FX, or shooting on location. Buildings can explode, blizzards can descend on the characters, monsters can shapeshift and take on horrific qualities. I was able to put Sam, Dean, and Bobby into some situations that would have been very expensive to film, and they encounter creatures that would be pricey to pull off in a visual medium. A book also allows the reader to hear inside the characters' heads. We can hear Dean thinking about his relationship with Sam, his struggles with guilt, his missing his father. It allowed me to really get deep into the characters. What would Bobby's inner voice sound like? What about Sam's? Just like an episode of the show, Fresh Meat is a different story, a new adventure that pits Sam, Dean, and Bobby against some new, deadly foes.

AMANDA:"Supernatural" is already deep into its eighth season, has spawned numerous professional tie-in novels, and has a huge following that produces more fan fiction than any one person could ever read. What do you believe has been the key contributor to the success of the series, and how long can you envision it lasting?

ALICE: I think "Supernatural" has a number of factors that lend to its continued success. The dynamics of the character interaction is powerful. Dean and Sam are brothers and love each other and have each other's backs, but they also have their struggles with each other. Fighting monsters side-by-side is not an easy path for them. Humor plays an important part in the show, too. Frequently the episodes make viewers both laugh and get seriously creeped out, which is a great combination. Another thing I think the show has done very successfully is mixing the monster-of-the-week with ongoing, overarching plotlines. In each season the brothers encounter fresh monsters and also fight very powerful enemies throughout the entire season. I also love the folkloric research aspect of the show. The folklorist in me loves it when Sam and Dean unearth creatures from urban legends and mythology. I think the show will last as long as the writers continue to create dynamic, intriguing scripts and the cast and crew bring those scripts to life with their own unique style that makes "Supernatural" such a pleasure to watch.

Synopsis

Robert Rodriguez returned from his over two-month hiatus from Twitter with a bang today, posting two new behind-the-scenes photos of Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For star Josh Brolin - and he promises more to come!
