B-Sides: Bikini Island Is Picture Perfect

With the annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue hitting shelves this past week, it seems as good a time as any for one of the many musical contributions from the 1991 swimsuit slasher Bikini Island. A B-Sides you can enjoy even with the sound off.

Bikini Island has a bit of an interesting pedigree in that it was produced in part by the swimsuit company Ujena, which also published the magazine Swimwear Illustrated to help promote its products. What better way to promote your swimsuits and your swimsuit magazine than with a direct-to-video thriller about swimsuit models, photographers, and the rest of the crew on a swimsuit magazine shoot being killed off one-by-one?

Bikini Island is quite the odd duck of a movie. Despite its R rating and the premise, there’s not much gore and surprisingly little T&A. It’s not quite a slasher flick, nor is a comedy, but quite a few people die and often so preposterously it’s hard to fathom much of it wasn’t meant to elicit laughs. This movie features a scene where a peeping tom dies with a sinister grin on his face after getting bonked on his head with a large rock the same you’d see a coconut bounce off someone’s head on "Gilligan’s Island."

It should come as absolutely no surprise to anyone to hear that this film is loaded to the gills with montages of beautiful women in bikinis posing for the camera, every last one of which is set to a song entitled “Picture Perfect” that is the very epitome of a B-Side. Like I stated at the outset, you can always turn off the audio to enjoy this video. Although, if you do so, you might be momentarily confused when a brief period of creepy leering on the part of one of the film’s red herrings interrupts the song.

Exclusive: Linda Blair Reflects on 40 Years with The Exorcist for FEARnet's February 17th Five-Film MarathonOn Sunday, February 17th, FEARnet celebrates 40 years of The Exorcist with a marathon of all the franchise films starting at 2 pm EST, and to mark the occasion, we spoke with genre icon Linda Blair about her experiences making one of the most influential horror movies of all time.

During our exclusive interview, Blair discussed how The Exorcist continues to surprise her even after four decades of living with Regan MacNeil, her surreal experiences dealing with the press as a teenager, why William Friedkin's film is more than just a horror movie and much, much more.

Dread Central: I just rewatched The Exorcist for probably the 60th time last night, and I'm still amazed by the fact that every time I see it, it's almost a different experience for me as a viewer. When I was a kid, it was more about being scared for your character, and now, as an adult, I just see it as such a tragic story for both Chris' (Ellen Burstyn) and Father Karras' (Jason Miller) characters.

Linda Blair:That's great! That's what the movie is supposed to do. Every time I watch it, I still see something new, and I've seen it a lot as you can imagine (laughs). When fans only talk about the scares, they're not really learning anything, which is a shame because Billy really put a lot of thematic elements in this movie that are supposed to make you think. It wasn't just about scaring people; it was a family drama that had horrific elements. It's not a horror movie.

Dread Central: Since you were such a young age at the time you made The Exorcist and considering the material you were dealing with, how much of it resonated with you and how much of it did you pick up on after the fact?

Linda Blair:You have to understand that when we made The Exorcist, I was a child first and foremost so when I first read the novel before auditioning, I saw it more from the perspective of a kid- how were they going to do these things? How was the bed going to levitate? That kind of stuff. I didn't really think about the religious aspects of the story because it was beyond me at that time.

Nothing like it was being made at that time so I just really had no idea of what this story would become, what these characters would become to fans throughout the years. I didn't understand it. And when the movie came out, the amount of pressure that came down on me wasn't anything I was prepared for. Especially all the pressure the press put on me- they thought I had all the answers about faith and Catholicism.

I was not raised Catholic so I didn't have any answers, and I certainly didn't understand a lot of what was happening in the story either. We didn’t talk about any of these things - God, the devil, evil - before we started shooting, and I really didn’t ask any questions either; to me it was just a character that was made up from special effects and not a symbol of something more like Regan has become over the years.

Exclusive: Linda Blair Reflects on 40 Years with The Exorcist for FEARnet's February 17th Five-Film Marathon

Dread Central: Being a reporter, I just can't imagine a time when journalists would look to a poor teenage girl for answers on religion and God and faith- that just seems incredibly unfair to you as a young actress.

Linda Blair:It was; it was probably the most awful thing you could imagine. Back then they didn't have one-on-ones like we're doing now. It was me standing behind a podium with hundreds of journalists in the room, and if we were traveling overseas, then chances are they didn't speak English, which was even more intimidating, being so young. To me The Exorcist was a work of fiction; I didn't realize then that it dealt with anything in reality, and so when the press kept asking me about all the devil stuff, it just kept adding to the pressure I was under, and it was just an awful thing to go through as a teenager.

I've been working on my autobiography, and just looking back at all the things they put me through to market that movie around the world- it was surreal. They'd put me on planes for these ridiculously long trans-Atlantic flights, which weren't nearly as quick as they are now, and then I'd be thrust in front of hundreds of people I often couldn’t understand who were putting their faith into my hands- it was horrible.

Dread Central: I wanted to go back for a moment to the relationship between Chris and Regan because it's fascinating to me on so many levels; I think it was one of the first times we saw a single mother as a central figure in a horror movie and one that was an actress as well, which definitely establishes a very unique dynamic. But after revisiting the original last night, I have to say that some of my favorite moments in The Exorcist are the quieter moments you and Ellen share together. Everything about it still feels very natural.

Linda Blair:Thank you for saying that! All of the credit for that is due to Ellen; I've said it so many times before- Ellen is the heart and soul of The Exorcist, and there would be no movie without her. She's just extraordinary. We did rehearse a lot, too, which is why I think our relationship felt so natural- it was easy to feel comfortable around her. She pulled me aside one day when we were shooting and told me if I ever needed anything to just ask her; back then I had this solo thing going on, and she could just read right through me. She saw that I needed that, and it really helped me.

And without our relationship, all the love and all those single-parent issues Chris was facing in The Exorcist, I don't think audiences would have connected as well with it. Even after 40 years, those are all still relevant issues and just prove that there's no substitute for timeless storytelling. All those other struggles, beyond Regan becoming possessed, is what drives the audience through Chris' journey. The Exorcist is HER movie; everyone always talks about Regan, but The Exorcist is really about Chris and what she goes through.

Exclusive: Linda Blair Reflects on 40 Years with The Exorcist for FEARnet's February 17th Five-Film Marathon

Dread Central: From your perspective, what makes The Exorcist such a timeless film that people still continue to discover even after all these years?

Linda Blair:You know, a lot of it has to do with the performances- everyone in this movie is just brilliant. Max [von Sydow] and Jason [Miller] are absolutely amazing, and you just don't see movies like The Exorcist being made anymore. It’s an extremely intelligent film and it’s challenging, whether or not you get anything out of it spiritually. People have tried to master what Billy made in this movie and recreate it again and again, but they just haven’t ever been able to. I think everyone gets something different out of The Exorcist, which is what makes it so great.

Dread Central: I know you spend most of your time now focused on the WorldHeart Foundation; I was wondering if you'd like to share with our readers more about that work.

Linda Blair:Oh absolutely! So the Linda Blair World HeartFoundation was created out of my feelings that we just aren't getting enough done in our communities to help the defenseless animals out there who are suffering. I want to stop the shelters from having to euthanize because they have no other choice; I want to help communities find better ways to serve people and even help people who are losing their homes and their pets.

I feel that it's my job to use my voice, my money and my charity to give people guidance as to how they can make a difference- whether it's to rescue or adopt an animal, to volunteer in the community or to just keep our local food banks stocked. Animals and people out there are suffering, and we need to do something about it. You can find all the info on the official The Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation website and through The Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation Facebook page, too. I feel that it's important that we all find a way to give back somehow.

About FEARnet's Exorcist Marathon:
For the first time ever, a TV network is consecutively airing all films - original, sequels and prequels - associated with The Exorcist franchise. One of the most significant genre films ever made, the Academy Award®-winning movie celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. In that time it has spawned two sequels and two prequels, which FEARnet presents back-to-back starting at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT on February 17th.

The original head-spinning classic The Exorcist stars Linda Blair as Regan MacNeil, a young girl possessed by the demon Pazuzu, with Max von Sydow and Jason Miller as the priests who try to save her. Next is Exorcist II: The Heretic at 4:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. PT, picking up four years later, with Regan’s (Blair) recent hypnotherapy sessions revealing that Pazuzu still lives within her.

Exorcist III follows at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, starring George C. Scott as Lieutenant Kinderman, investigating a series of murders similar to those of the Gemini Killer (Brad Dourif), who has been dead for 15 years. Then it’s Dominion: Prequel to The Exorcist at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT, Paul Schrader’s vision of Father Merrin’s (Stellan Skarsgård) days in Kenya, where an ancient Byzantine church causes an outbreak of madness in the camp, leading Merrin to his first encounter with Pazuzu. The evening closes with Exorcist: The Beginning at 12 midnight ET/9 p.m. PT, Renny Harlin’s version, which places Father Merrin (Skarsgård) in the ruins of a subterranean Satanic temple, where he must save a woman possessed by Pazuzu.

Exclusive: Sasha Grey Talks Her 'Would You Rather' Character's Attitude, the Cast's Chemistry, and More

Exclusive: Sasha Grey Talks Her 'Would You Rather' Character's Attitude, the Cast's Chemistry, and More Recently released on VOD and in limited theaters is David Guy Levy's wickedly brutal Would You Rather, and we caught up with co-star Sasha Grey to hear about her role in the thriller, what drew her to the project, working alongside her castmates, and much more.

The film follows a young woman (Brittany Snow) who shows up for a dinner party, only to be forced into a deadly game of Would You Rather alongside seven other guests hosted by twisted "philanthropist" Shepard Lambrick (Jeffrey Combs), who offers them all a handsome reward for surviving his game.

You'll find the highlights of our exclusive interview with Grey below, and make sure to check out Would You Rather (review here) now that it's been released (absolutely worth it).

Dread Central: What were your first impressions of the script for Would You Rather? Did Amy's character and her particularly nasty "strategies" against her fellow contestants appeal to you since it seemed to be very against type for you?

Sasha Grey:You know, I loved the story; it was just so horrifying to read, and I really wasn't sure just what direction they were going to go with it. But I dug the character because of that- because she was against type for me. I wanted to challenge myself with something different.

Then after I met with David, I knew he was going to make the movie that maybe people weren't expecting, and I knew I wanted to do it because it was going to be something different. This wasn’t about shocking you necessarily; it was made to really make you think and maybe feel a little uncomfortable, too.

Dread Central: We get a sense in the movie that a lot of Amy's "attitude" (as Lambrick puts it) is just a front and that's she's been through some incredibly rough things recently. I know we get a little bit of Amy's backstory towards the end of the movie, but was there more going on?

Sasha Grey:Definitely. Everything about Amy was a front; sitting there in that room was a performance for her. She had so much pain and suffering in her life that she decided to embody the one person responsible for that pain - her husband - in that performance during the game. There's definitely some truth to the things she says, but she also says a lot of things that aren't as convincing, making it hard to read her at times. I really dug that duplicity.

Dread Central: I thought that the entire cast had such great chemistry in this; was that something you guys worked on ahead of time, or did that come from being contained together in essentially one space for most of the movie?

Sasha Grey:I think that dynamic really built up while on set; it was just the right chemistry across the board, and it was very fortunate for all of us that David really picked the perfect blend of actors for this movie. He was also great about giving us all our own little moments so there were a lot of hours spent around that table, but it was great. I think it only made the movie that much better because after a while everything felt natural- except the story of course.

Dread Central: Because you guys were stuck to that table for so long, was it hard keeping up the energy at all?

Sasha Grey:Sometimes it was. I think that was something we were all worried about coming into this- that maybe things could lag because people would be watching almost the same "scene" for most of the movie. David thankfully knew what he was doing because he really keeps the story and the characters interesting even though they're not running around in the woods or anything like that. And I think that once we found our rhythm, it became easier and easier to keep that energy up between us. Plus, when you have all this talent in one place, it's not hard to start feeding off other people's energy, too.

Synopsis
In the wake of her parent's death, Iris struggles to make ends meet while caring for her terminally ill younger brother. Shepard Lambrick, a seemingly philanthropic aristocrat, expresses an interest in helping them. When he invites her to an exclusive dinner party, she accepts. Also attending the dinner party are seven more desperate individuals. They soon find themselves trapped in Lambrick's mansion and forced to play a sadistic game of Would You Rather, where the winner will be awarded untold amounts of money. As the game progresses, the dilemmas Iris and the other players face grow increasingly deadly.

Doctor Gash's Top 10 Greatest Horror Movies... EVER! #10 - Scream

$
0
0

Long before I became a doctor, back when I was just a horror intern, I spent plenty of time cruising around the internet, and one of the things I loved to read the most was people's Top 10 Horror Movies lists. Unfortunately, I never read one I completely agreed with.

After finally becoming sure I would never find that perfect writer who nailed the Top 10 Horror Movies as I saw them, I decided to start my own site and thus gave birth to the short lived, but enthusiastically written site, DoctorGash.com. It lasted about as long as "Do No Harm" on NBC. However my love for top 10 horror lists never faded. And now I'd like to present you with mine.

Over the next 10 days I'm going to count down my Top 10 Greatest Horror Movies from number 10 right down to the granddaddy of them all and give you my reasoning as to why I feel each belong on the list. I included the films that I felt were the most effective and influential in horror. And you, dear readers, will certainly have your opinions on my entries, I'm sure. And I invite you to share your thoughts and opinion in the comments section below. Maybe between this list and your comments we can all agree on a top 10 to make the world happy.

It's nearly impossible to narrow the horror genre down to just 10 films, but here goes nothing. Remember, it's always easy to add to the list, it's just really, really hard to find films to remove.

So without further ado, let us begin this walk down memory lane and revisit some of the greatest, most important and entertaining horror films ever made. This is Doctor Gash's Top 10 Greatest Horror Movies… Ever!

#10-Scream
"Do you like scary movies?"

It’s December 1996. The slasher sub-genre of horror has become a joke. Multiple cash-grabbing sequels of Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween have hardened audiences. These tired sequels to the films we loved have become so predictable and uniform that the slasher genre is dying. And worse than that, the films themselves are just really, really bad. The Nightmare/F13/Halloween sequels became parasites of their origins. They required no thought or creativity. Pump one out each year and double your investment on brand name alone. But by 1996, that formula was finally drying up. Audiences were sick of watching garbage. They knew a Friday the 13th or A Nightmare on Elm Street or Halloween sequel was going to be trash and they began to stop going to the movies. It would not be long before filmmakers got the hint and stopped making them. We needed a hero.

Who better to be that savior than Wes Craven, the man responsible for The Last House on the Left, The Hills Have Eyes and the original A Nightmare on Elm Street? He collaborated with writer Kevin Williamson to create a new project called Scream. They enlisted a cast of unknown teens (most of whom would go on to have nice careers: Rose McGowan, Jamie Kennedy, Neve Campbell) to go along with Drew Barrymore, Courtney Cox and David Arquette and brought us a horror movie that, while paying homage to the genre, also reinvigorated mainstream horror.

Doctor Gash's Top 10 Most Greatest Horror Movies... EVER! #10 - Scream

Scream is not the Number 10 film on this list because it is the goriest or creepiest or scariest of the bunch. Far from it. Scream is here because it was the perfect film at the perfect time. Scream drew from all the horror that preceded it, incorporating it in either a suspenseful or comedic way, and delivered that to the audience in an extremely entertaining fashion. Scream was based around a true mystery. Who was the killer? Upon first viewing you really had no idea. Suddenly audiences remembered what it was like to enjoy a slasher film, not just go to the movies because it was the new Jason or Freddy flick. Moviegoers were treated to a great story. Scream brought us back. It showed us that there were movie-makers out there who would still put effort into horror, not just throw some crap on celluloid to get you off your ass and into the theater on Halloween to see some lame sequel all for nothing more than the almighty dollar.

As far as the picture itself, it's filled with references to great slasher films (not the least of which is Wes Craven himself as Freddy the Janitor in a red and green sweater). Jamie Kennedy is great as the horror sage, preaching the rules to the unsuspecting victims and (aside from the tribute to horror) Scream's most powerful asset is Neve Campbell as the perfect Final Girl. She is pretty and innocent. She smart, strong and vulnerable all at the same time. Sidney is THE Final Girl.

Again, Scream is not the "most" anything. It's not the 'most shocking' or the 'most bloody' or the scariest film of all time. (Although you could consider it the 'most perfectly timed film release ever'). But its strength was in its intelligence and timing. Scream is really entertaining, especially for horror fans. It addresses the 'Rules of Horror,' those things we can't do if we don't want to be filleted by the movie psycho. And the reason these 'rules' existed is because horror had become so predictable. Scream took that predictability and played on it, using the weak films of the past to build a stronger future. Just like The Cabin in the Woods recently did again.

Simply put, Scream couldn't have come along at a better time. It recharged audiences who were numb from countless terrible sequels and showed them that there were still cowboys out there who would bring them quality original entertainment. Neve Campbell was perfect as Final Girl Sidney and Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich have to be recognized for their incredibly entertaining contributions to the film. Lillard's physicality and willingness to leave it all out there certainly made for a memorable character and Ulrich's downright two-faced nastiness was stellar.

No, Scream doesn’t have the pedigree of Jaws or Friday the 13th or several others that you may feel belong on this list, but without Scream we may not have some of the great horror we have today. Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson took the weaknesses of the genre and recycled them into a breath of fresh air movie that brought the slasher film back. We thank them for that and give Scream its proper place at Number 10 on the Top 10 Most Greatestl Horror Movies... Ever!

Beautiful Creatures Dies Hard at the Box OfficeAs Hollywood begins churning out more and more genre-centric romantic young adult flicks, desperately hoping that tweener girls experiencing Twilight withdrawal will give rise to a new cash cow franchise, a harsh reality is lost on these producers.

The tweens already have their new Twilight - it's called The Hunger Games. Sorry, Beautiful Creatures.

The Valentine’s Day thru President’s Day weekend turned ugly for the latest young adult novel turned big screen Twilight heir apparent hopeful. It seems those looking for action went to see A Good Day to Die Hard, those looking for laughs went to see Identity Thief, those looking for romance went to see Safe Haven, those looking for monsters went to see Escape from Planet Earth, and those looking for romantic monsters with action and comedy continued to flock to Warm Bodies. That left poor Beautiful Creatures (review here) out in the cold.

Seriously, this movie opened to half as much money as Escape from Planet Earth? How does that happen?

Just $7.4 million for the four-day weekend, $10 million if you include Valentine’s Day, according to Box Office Mojo, is the best Warner Bros.’ Beautiful Creatures could muster. Contrast that poor 6th place opening with Warm Bodies, which in its third week sat one spot above the latest young adult franchise non-starter with $9 million. Now up to $50 million domestic total, safe to say Warm Bodies has a better chance of spawning a new franchise than the film that was actually designed to be the first installment in a new franchise.

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters is on its way out of the top ten at 9th place with another $3 million. Its domestic total is just shy of $50 million. I’m as shocked as you are, and I actually liked the movie.

Mama finally dropped out of the top ten but has nothing to feel bad about with over $68 million in 5 weeks. It will be shocking if we don’t get a sequel.

Next weekend brings a real dark horse in the form of the Keri Russell UFO chiller Dark Skies that looks like it should have been titled Insidious Aliens. Will it be a surprise sleeper or will occupy dead space at the box office?

The Walking Dead: Recap of Episode 3.10 - Home

The Walking Dead: Recap of Episode 3.10 - HomeDespite a lackluster return plot-wise last Sunday, "The Walking Dead" still pulled in its largest audience ever. Let's hope the audience returns for this episode because it is a doozy and deserves to break more ratings records!

This episode entitled "Home" is written by Nichole Beattie and is directed by Seith Mann.

SPOILER ALERT: Do not read any further if you haven’t watched the episode yet. This is a recap with specific details from this episode. Continue only if you have already watched it.

This episode began with more hallucination fun with Rick as he spotted Lori, in her ghostly white gown, standing over several marked graves. By the time he arrived there, she had then moved to outside the fence, leading Rick to rush out past a perplexed Michonne. At least she had the good sense of closing those gates behind him. Rick finally reached Loricination (Thanks @DiegoSikora!) for a quiet tender moment together right in front of Michonne. Leaving Rick to run around crazily must be the new normal at the prison. Hm.. Sarah Wayne Callies is in the title sequence this week.

At Woodbury, the Governor complimented Andrea on her "perseverance" speech but she changed the topic quickly to the Governor's intentions towards Rick and the group at the prison. But the Governor suggested that he would abdicate his role to her.

In the woods, Daryl tried to make a case for the good life at the prison while keeping watch for Merle to relieve himself but Merle would had none of it.

The Walking Dead: Recap of Episode 3.10 - Home

Glenn quizzed Carl on the prison compound breach where Tyreese and his group found their way in. Those breaches had to be secure in case the Governor attacked. However, when Glenn wanted to go on the offensive, Hershel managed to talk him down.

Milton was startled from his experimenting with alpha waves and meditative state inducing by the Governor. Reeling from his betrayal by Merle, the Governor had to secured Milton's loyalty and tasked Milton with spying on Andrea. But when Andrea confronted Milton about not being able to find the Governor and his henchmen, he lied very unconvincingly. Way to start on the spying games, Milton!

In Rick's absence, Glenn tried to convince the group to stay and to fortify the prison, which they did so begrudgingly. Glenn wanted to take Maggie on a reconnaissance mission but found her in a depressed state. They finally talked about her humiliation by the Governor which ended with Maggie pushing Glenn away.

While doing some fortification work, Carol and Axel bonded over his arrest story which somehow turned into a flirtation with a smiling Carol teaching Axel how to use his gun. Oh my, how quickly Daryl was forgotten…

In the woods, Daryl and Merle came upon some survivors on a bridge fighting off an invading horde of walkers. Super Daryl went to their rescue with multiple kills with the trusty cross bow (and a particularly awesome kill with hatchback trunk door) while Merle lazily joined in just one shot. With the walkers dispatched, Merle started to rob the survivor but was stopped at arrow-point by Daryl.

The Dixon brothers finally had their brotherly fight about Merle's self-amputation and Merle's leaving Daryl alone to fend against an abusive parent, before a disappointed Daryl finally walking off to return to his people at the prison. Yay! After a moment of reflection, Merle followed.

The Walking Dead: Recap of Episode 3.10 - Home

Outside the prison's perimeter, Rick came across Hershel at the inside of the fence. Hershel urged Rick to return but Rick was not ready yet. As supportive as always, Hershel listened to Rick's run-ins with Loricination, Shane and phantom phone calls. Did Hershel have a psychologist's couch back at the farm too?

Carol and Axel flirted some more at the prison yard when a sniper shot hit Axel right at the temple (kinda appropriate since that is the actor's actual last name). It was the Governor on a sniper gun. Before Rick could react, he was shot at by henchman Martinez, who also pinned down a nearby Hershel. By using Axel's corpse as cover, Carol protected herself while she and Beth and Carl got shot at by another henchman at a tower. With a machine gun on hand, Michonne joined in the gunfight, shooting at the Governor. Maggie ran out into the yard with more guns and they managed to free Carol. Much shooting and not hitting anyone. Conserve your ammo, people!

During a lull in the firefight, a delivery truck ran through the gates and released its walker passengers inside. Exciting fighting and rescues ensue with everyone involved. Our wayward Dixon brothers even returned at the right time to join in. When the group made their way back to the safer inner perimeter of the prison, they can only watch as the walkers made themselves at home around them. Outside, with a thankful nod to Daryl, Rick may have finally awoken from his hallucinatory stupor as he helplessly watch walkers piling into the prison compound.

Todd McFarlane on New Spawn Film - Oscar-Winning Actor Attached

Todd McFarlane on New Spawn Film - Oscar-Winning Actor AttachedIn 1997 Mark A.Z. Dippé released a film version of Todd McFarlane's forever popular franchise Spawn. It sucked. In fact, it sucked bad. Fingers were pointed, fans were disappointed, McFarlane vowed redemption... one day. But will that day ever come?

MTV recently caught up with McFarlane and asked if there had been any progress toward a new Spawn film. Mind you, this happens at least once or twice every year. So what's the story today?

"I continue writing pages here and there," says McFarlane. "I have a guy waiting in the sidelines, an Academy Award-winning actor. Every three weeks he’s on the phone going, ‘Todd, where’s the script? Todd, where’s the script?’ I can’t say who it is. He came out to the office. He gave me his pitch, and I gave him mine. The pitch I gave was that we could do ten of these for the next ten years and he wouldn’t have to be 22 for the rest of his life."

In other news McFarlane also let it slip that another animated series based on the character is in the works - “We have 90 minutes all set and ready to go, other than sending it to an animation house. We’ve done all the voice recordings, we’ve done all the backgrounds, so the technology is way better than it was a decade ago; there are some spectacular things we can do now that we weren’t able to when we were on HBO.

Stay tuned... again.
