An international teaser trailer for Ridley Scott's Prometheus is here, and though it doesn't seem very different from what's already been shown, we have it for you anyway. We know you guys like seeing everything. Onward...

Prometheus, starring Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Patrick Wilson, Logan Marshall-Green, and Ben Foster, will be in theaters on June 8th, 2012.

Synopsis

A trailer for Gabriele Albanesi's sequel to The Last House in the Woods, entitled Kid in the Box, has landed online, and guess what... It actually features a kid in a friggin' box. Oh, the joys of being literal.

Gabriele Albanesi will direct Kid in the Box, the sequel to his first movie, The Last House in the Woods (Il Bosco Fuori) released in 2008 in the USA by Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Underground.

In the project are involved big names of Italian horror such as Sergio Stivaletti for the special effects and Claudio Simonetti for the original music.

“In my intentions KID IN THE BOX will be a great, powerful, romantic, epic horror film, and to realize it, I collected the best people that have made the history of this kind of cinema,” said Albanesi. "The sequel tells the story of the two children who had survived the end of the previous chapter: Giulio, the cannibal kid, and Andrea, the torso kid without legs and arms. The film tells the bloody story of their odyssey through a world that will turn dark and unforgiving."

Deep Silver has announced a fourth character in Risen 2: Dark Waters. Chani is the chief of the Shaganumbi tribe and a powerful voodoo witch. She has spent her entire life in the village of the Earthclan. She does everything within her power to protect her village and despises both the expansion plans of the Inquisition and the invading pirates.

About Risen 2: Dark Waters
In Risen 2: Dark Waters, the Inquisition dispatches the hero to seek a remedy against the monstrous sea creatures that are interfering with the shipping lines, thus cutting off the islands' supplies. The pirates seem to know how to deal with these critters ... but they are hardly cooperative.

New gameplay elements add to the diversity of Risen 2; for example, players can also use firearms now. And, being pirates, adventurers can also employ special new skills called Dirty Tricks, allowing them to confuse or attack enemies in combat.

We're just a mere day away from Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance roaring into theatres, and to get your flames stoked, we have a battery of short video soundbites and more for you to dig on!

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, stars Nicolas Cage, Nicolas Cage's hair, Idris Elba, Johnny Whitworth, Violante Placido and Ciaran Hinds. The movie finds Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider (Cage), hiding out in remote Eastern Europe and struggling to repress his curse. Blaze is recruited by a sect to take on the devil (Hinds), who wants to take over his mortal son’s body on the boy’s birthday. Its scheduled release date is February 17, 2012.

The 37th Boston Science Fiction Festival, which is believed to be the world's oldest genre festival, continues with a 10-day run which started February 10, 2012. The Gort, the annual award, is given out for Best Feature and Best Short. This year they're adding a Steampunk category for Feature and Short as well.

The festival concludes with The 'Thon, which started it all in 1976 at the late, lamented Orson Welles Cinemas. From noon until noon the following day, the 'Thon highlights the best films of the Fest plus a retrospective of classic films. Think of it as the biggest sleepover you'll ever go to, enjoying classic, premiere and schlocky sci-fi films with 600 other devoted fans. It is an amazing event. How else could it have survived for 37 years?

The 'Thon usually has anywhere from 12 to 13 features films, plus cartoons, trailers, games and guests. The film slate includes vintage films, schlockers, premieres and everything in-between. Traditional events include the Tin-Foil Hat Contest and the Atomic Fireball Salute that begins The 'Thon.

With The Cabin in the Woods officially on the horizon, we're sure to see the proverbial pedal hit the medal in terms of promotion. A lot people who've been following along haven't really grasped what the flick is about yet, even after the trailer. Time to shed a little light.

In a recent interview with Total Film, co-writer/producer Joss Whedon dropped the following on curious fans:

"It’s basically a very loving hate letter," he tells the site. “On some level it was completely a lark, me and Drew [Goddard, director] trying to figure out what the most fun we could have would be. On another level it’s a serious critique of what we love and what we don’t about horror movies. I love being scared. I love that mixture of thrill, of horror, that objectification/identification thing of wanting definitely for the people to be alright but at the same time hoping they’ll go somewhere dark and face something awful. The things that I don’t like are kids acting like idiots, the devolution of the horror movie into torture porn and into a long series of sadistic comeuppances. Drew and I both felt that the pendulum had sung a little too far in that direction."

Indeed it has.

Paranormal ghost videos on YouTube are not only popular during the Halloween season, and one paranormal investigations team has gone above and beyond to prove just that. A typical YouTuber may have to upload hundreds of videos and put in hundreds of hours of effort into getting their videos noticed, to possibly have one of their videos go viral and to become part of the YouTube Partner Program. However, when Phillip Brunelle, Founder of ATF Paranormal, uploaded a handful of short videos on YouTube from their paranormal investigation of the Lizzie Borden house in Fall River, Massachusetts, they achieved all of this in just a few months.

"My only intention at first was to share some video clips of paranormal evidence that we caught on camera at the Lizzie Borden house with friends, family and anyone interested in watching," said Phillip Brunelle of ATF Paranormal. "I had no idea that the videos would become popular, or go viral, but they did."

ATF Paranormal share paranormal videos on YouTube under their channel name Mass Most Haunted. The videos feature their experiences and paranormal evidence from their investigations of the most haunted places around the United States. As of this week, the channel has thousands of subscribers, but even more impressive, ATF Paranormal / Mass Most Haunted has reached a landmark by achieving more than one million video views.

Phillip Brunelle has gone from sharing his videos from a haunting experience with some family and friends to becoming the newest member of the YouTube million viewers club. ATF Paranormal has taken their YouTube channel, Mass Most Haunted, to the next level after they were accepted into the YouTube Partnership Program, which means they earn a share of advertising revenue from YouTube on every video they share on their channel.

The family members of ATF Paranormal announced that they will premiere a web series on their YouTube partner paranormal channel. Each episode in their web series will feature the experiences and paranormal evidence from every one of their future paranormal investigations. The mother and sons trio of ghost hunters are ATF Paranormal, which is a very fitting acronym for All in The Family Paranormal, are based in Massachusetts and currently investigate the most credible reports of paranormal activity and well known places said to be haunted throughout New England, and they hope to soon expand their paranormal investigations throughout the United States.

When it comes to ghosts and the paranormal, there isn't a shortage of skeptics. The paranormal can be somewhat of a controversial topic, but recent surveys show that nearly one in five Americans have had a paranormal experience, one in three Americans believe in ghosts and over half of Americans are open-minded to paranormal activity.

Show of hands - how many of you knew that singer/songwriter Neil Sadaka once appeared in a horror film? Trembles obviously did, and that film, Playgirl Killer (aka Portrait of Fear), is the subject of this week's MPP.

The sole IMDb credit of director Erick Santamaria (who also co-wrote the film with Harry and William Kerwin), Playgirl Killer was released in 1968 and stars William Kerwin, Jean Christopher, and Andrée Champagne in addition to the aforementioned Sadaka.

Synopsis:
A rich, lonely woman hires a drifter as a live-in handyman. The drifter turns out to be a psycho artist who has beautiful women model for him, then kills them.

Travel Channel returns with Season Six of the popular paranormal travel series “Ghost Adventures” on Friday, March 9, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Investigative duo Zak Bagans and Nick Groff, along with equipment technician Aaron Goodwin, explore some of the most haunted locations in America to unearth the trapped souls and dark energy within. This season the team visits spots that have never been explored by the Ghost Adventures team including the Shanghai Tunnels in Portland, OR, the Peabody-Whitehead Mansion in Denver, CO, as well as the family home of paranormal equipment inventor Gary Galka in East Granby, CT, where business gets personal as they help one family make contact with their dead daughter in a deeply personal story of love, loss and a haunted house. Each of the seven, one-hour episodes starts with an in-depth profile of a location’s haunted past. Once the story is told, viewers follow the investigative team as they survey every nook and cranny while conducting scientific experiments while being locked down overnight.

The new season kicks off with the trio taking a deep dive into the dingy Shanghai Tunnels to unearth the spirits that still haunt Hobo’s Restaurant & Lounge in Portland, Oregon. They meet Shanghai Tunnels curator Michael Jones, who gives insight on the tragic history of these passageways. In the 1850’s Portland sent many ships across the Pacific to trade goods. In order to man the ships with an adequate crew, people were “shanghaied,” or kidnapped, and sold illegally to trading ships. The tunnels were used to hold them and later transport them to the harbors. Andrew Guthrie, owner of Hobo’s, shows the Ghost Adventures team the trap doors that were once used to trick unsuspecting locals into the tunnels. One of the most tragic stories involves the legend of Nina, a former prostitute who knew about the horrors of the underground. Nina shared these stories with a local missionary, and they in turn went to the cops. The next day she was found dead at the bottom of an elevator shaft.

The Ghost Adventures team begins their lockdown inside the Shanghai Tunnels at dawn. They descend into the dark tunnels, and their equipment starts to record audio of a female voice. Zak first believes this voice is Nina’s spirit, but after he probes further, it seems to be one of a different prostitute. Then they record audio of a male that accompanies the initial female voice. Later on a door rattles unprovoked. As Zak, Nick and Aaron further investigate, they hear phantom footsteps. Meanwhile one of the static cameras record visual evidence of an unexplained mist. Finally the guys split up across the tunnels. Zak captures an anomaly in his thermal imaging camera moving towards Aaron in the next room over.

Kevin Eastman, owner/publisher of Heavy Metal, announced the first major event for the year-long 35th anniversary celebration of the magazine with the launch of The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, a three-book series featuring the stories of Michael Mendheim and art of Simon Bisley.

Wolfpack of Reseda, a new original, scripted web series produced by Fox Digital Entertainment in conjunction with Kia Motors America, has premiered on MySpace. The series sees Ben March’s mundane, 20-something life transform when he becomes convinced he’s been bitten by a werewolf in the suburban Los Angeles sprawl of Reseda.

Mixing elements of workplace comedy with the conventions of horror, Wolfpack of Reseda is a unique take on office life, the supernatural, and “winning.” After forming his own “wolfpack” and becoming the alpha dog of Reseda, Ben’s moon is on the rise, but will it turn him irreversibly into the beast that will raise Hell in the Valley?

Wolfpack’s first season of eight episodes will debut weekly on MySpace starting today, February 16th, and the series will also be available through a variety of digital stores. Wolfpack is produced by Fox Digital Entertainment, a division of 20th Century Fox that is dedicated to creating new and innovative content for emerging distribution channels.

Synopsis:
Ben March hates his life. The torture of listening to motivational speeches from the slimy head salesman at work, the depressing apartment and foul smells of his Animal Control officer roommate at home, and – most of all – the crappy car that shuttles him between the two. There seems to be no escape from his suburban despair until one night he is bitten by a mysterious creature in the woods. Could he now be a werewolf?

Suddenly he has the instincts of an alpha dog. For the first time he pushes aside the mundane to do what he really wants with his life. Forming his own “wolfpack,” Ben makes his lair in Reseda, and has the run of the Valley. But soon the threat of the murderous beast within him begins to rear its ugly head.
