Legendary Pictures' teaser trailers for Godzilla have kept us in a state of absolute and total giant monster movie bliss for over 24 hours, and the goodies keep right on coming. On tap right now is the first Japanese TV spot for the film. So good!

Monsters' Gareth Edwards directs the all-star cast including Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Johnson, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Ken Watanabe, Richard T. Jones, Sally Hawkins, Akira Takarada, Victor Rasuk, Yuki Morita, and C.J. Adams.

In theaters May 16, 2014, an epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

Making his first appearance in 1954 (Gojira). Godzilla is a giant monster that lives in the sea that comes from the ocean to feed on mankind.

News has been coming out of the Terminator camp hot and heavy recently, and it was just this past weekend that we found out the film has officially been named Terminator: Genesis. But who's going to be playing iconic character John Connor? I'll be right back, and then I'll let you know...

According to Deadline, Jason Clarke is in talks to play Connor in the reboot, the leader of the rebellion against the Skynet artificial intelligence system bent on wiping out the human race. Clarke has recently impressed in a series of big time flicks, including Zero Dark Thirty and The Great Gatsby, and he'll next be seen in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

This news comes shortly after we found out that Emilia Clarke ("Game of Thrones") and Brie Larson are the frontrunners for the role of Sarah Connor.

Set for a July 1, 2015, release, the latest Terminator will be the fifth installment of the storied movie series, which began in 1984 as an indie distributed by Orion. Schwarzenegger starred in all but the last one, 2009’s Terminator Salvation, in which he made only a digitally processed cameo.

The film's plot details have not been revealed other than this is the first installment in a stand-alone trilogy. Skydance and Annapurna will co-finance along with Paramount with David Ellison producing for Skydance and Megan Ellison producing for Annapurna. Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier penned the script, and Alan Taylor will direct.

A month or so ago we told you about Burying the Ex, Joe Dante's return behind the camera that stars Anton Yelchin and Ashley Greene; and today we have your first look at the two leads along with a few more details.

Based on a short film of the same name, the Alan Trezza-penned script follows Max (Yelchin) and Evelyn (Greene) as their relationship takes a nose dive once they move in together.

Max discovers how controlling and manipulative Evelyn is, but he’s too scared to break up with her. When fate steps in and Evelyn dies in a freak accident, newly-single Max prepares to move on with Olivia (Alexandra Daddario). His romantic life becomes complicated when Evelyn rises from the grave and sets out to get her boyfriend back, even if that means turning him into one of the undead. Oliver Cooper plays Travis, Max's deadbeat half-brother who tries to help him win Olivia's heart and defeat his undead ex.

Per EW, who visited the set and came back with the photo you'll see below, Dante (pictured above), who hasn’t made a film in Hollywood in ten years, is happy to be part of the emerging trend in the horror-comedy world.

“When I was a kid, zombie movies were pretty much the lowest rung. People didn’t take them very seriously, and they were very cheap to produce,” Dante said. “The appeal of genre is that people want to see the same things over again, but they want to get them in a new package. It’s the packing that makes it work. The mainstream genres of westerns, war pictures, and comedies have taken a backseat to this once reviled supernatural.”

Speaking of the supernatural side of things, just how zombified will Evelyn become? Greene goes through six different stages of zombie makeup and prosthetics designed by special makeup effects designer Gary Tunnicliffe (Dracula 2000, My Bloody Valentine, Scary Movie 5). “We wanted more of a realistic approach, if you can have that with a zombie,” Greene said, “but there’s a lot of translucency and layering and attention to detail with veining and stuff like that so when people look at it, there’s the odd sensation that she kind of still looks attractive.”

Who doesn't love a good snow-covered horror flick? Movies like The Thing and Adam Green's Frozen have shown that horror stories and winter make for a damn fine pairing, and the found footage flick Frost is the next one set to splatter blood in the snow.

We've been talking about the film for a long time here on Dread Central, and Entertainment One has just announced that it's headed to DVD over in the UK on February 10, 2014. And we just love the quote they decided to use on the cover.

Icelandic filmmaker Reynir Lyngdal directs Frost, which was shot in the Icelandic highlands. Synopsis:
Filmmaker Gunnar (Björn Thors) arrives at a remote glacier camp on the outskirts of the Arctic Circle to meet up with physiologist Agla (Anna Gunndís Guðmundsdóttir) to make a documentary about the research being conducted there. The next day they discover the camp mysteriously abandoned and their co-workers gone without a trace. As darkness descends and the camp is shaken with ear-splitting shrieks and violent flashing lights, the couple bravely venture out into the vast nothingness, frantically following a trail of blood in the snow in the hope that it’ll lead them to their missing colleagues, unaware of what they’ll find at the other end…

It's hard not to love any movie about a demon that lives in a dude's butt, which is precisely the sort of glorious insanity that Bad Milo (review) brought to the table this year. After a limited theatrical and On Demand release in October, the lovable ass demon comes home.

Magnolia Home Entertainment has set the Stateside and Canadian DVD and Blu-ray release of the horror comedy for January 21, 2014.

Synopsis
Magnet Releasing is handling North American distribution for the acclaimed comedy/horror film BAD MILO, directed by Jacob Vaughan, written by Vaughan and Benjamin Hayes, and starring Ken Marino and Gillian Jacobs. BAD MILO features notable puppetry by Frank Langley and Bob Mano.

Duncan’s (Ken Marino) life is a real pain in the ass. Tormented by his manipulative, crooked boss (Patrick Warburton); a nagging mother (Mary Kay Place); a deadbeat new age dad (Stephen Root); and a sweet, yet pressuring, wife (Gillian Jacobs), his mounting stress starts to trigger an insufferable gastrointestinal reaction. Out of ideas and at the end of his rope, Duncan seeks the help of a hypnotherapist (Peter Stormare), who helps him discover the root of his unusual stomach pain: a pintsized demon living in his intestine that, triggered by excessive anxiety, forces its way out and slaughters the people who have angered him. Out of fear that his intestinal gremlin may target its wrath on the wrong person, Duncan attempts to befriend it, naming it Milo and indulging it to keep its seemingly insatiable appetite at bay.

We're currently enjoying having Robert Knepper ("Prison Break,""Heroes,""Carnivale") back on the small screen in Frank Darabont's "Mob City," but he's heading to the big screen shortly as it's just been announced that he's joined the cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Parts 1 and 2.

Per The Hunger Games on Twitter, Knepper has signed on for the part of "Antonius." Interestingly, a quick check of the Wiki for the novels indicates that this is a new character not included in Suzanne Collins' trilogy. If you know something we don't, please share!

Danny Strong and Peter Craig wrote the two-part Hunger Games finale, Mockingjay, which follows Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) as she leads a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol in the futuristic land of Panem. Francis Lawrence returns to direct.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 will be in theatres on November 21st, 2014, with Part 2 following on November 20th, 2015.

Word has come our way that Mike Flanagan's incredibly scary new flick Oculus (review) will be releasing wide in theatres on April 18th, 2014, via Blumhouse and Relativity.

Karen Gillan and Brenton Thwaites star with Rory Cochrane, Katee Sackhoff, Annalise Basso, and Garrett Ryan, along with James Lafferty and Miguel Sandoval. Oculus is directed by Mike Flanagan from a script he co-wrote with Jeff Howard, based on a short film Flanagan and Jeff Seidman made in 2005.

Synopsis
Oculus is a spine-chilling supernatural tale of two damaged siblings (Gillan and Thwaites) who, as children, witnessed their parents’ harrowing descent into madness and murder. At long last, brother and sister reunite as adults to expose and destroy the paranormal entity they believe is responsible: the Lasser Glass — a legendary mirror their family once owned.

One of "True Blood's" fan favorite characters is getting a new love interest in the show's final season, and we have the details on who it is and whether they're of the human or vamp persuasion.

Per TVLine, Lafayette’s getting a new boyfriend - and a serious one at that. After spending much of Season 6 in the shadows, Nelsan Ellis will sashay back to the forefront in "True Blood" Season 7 with a little help from "Drake."

Described as a cross between Jim Morrison and James Dean, the brooding and insanely good-looking vampire is a compassionate protector with a poet’s edge. The series-regular role calls for a twentysomething actor who is comfortable performing in simulated (and near-naked) sex scenes with another man in front of the cast and crew. In other words, just another day in Bon Temps!

The ten-episode seventh season of "True Blood" will launch in summer 2014. The end of Season 6 jumped ahead six months, and Season 7 will serve as a bit of a reset for the series with the theme of "for every vampire, a human; for every human, a vampire."It once again examines the relationships between humans and vampires, and by putting all the characters essentially into one story, now it's Bon Temps vs. the world.

It's been awhile since we've had an update on the film adaptation of Stephen King's novella A Good Marriage (from Full Dark No Stars), but it's apparently now complete and, according to King, "terrific"!

King took to his new Twitter account to post the news. We'll keep our eyes and ears open for more about the film, which was directed by Peter Askin and stars Joan Allen, Anthony LaPaglia, Stephen Lang, Kristen Connolly, and Theo Stockman.

King wrote the screenplay for the movie, which was financed by independent equity. Paradigm is handling domestic rights, while Atlas International is selling foreign rights. Askin, who directed the 2007 documentary about the Hollywood Blacklist and McCarthyism titled Trumbo, produced with his Reno Productions partner Will Battersby.

King’s story centers on a woman named Darcy (Allen) who discovers the sinister and gruesome double life that her husband of 25 years (LaPaglia) and father of their two children has been living. She must now decide how far she is willing to go to maintain the marriage. Lang plays a retired investigator from the Maine Attorney General’s office who is obsessed with solving the husband's possible crimes.

Rest easy, kids. This new flick has nothing to do with the nearly three-hour long 70s snoozefest The Swarm, though that remains my number one non-narcotic sleep aid. Nope, writer/director Jordan Brown's upcoming insect flick is a very different beast. Read on for artwork and more.

Synopsis
A team of aid workers are sent to investigate the cause of a viral outbreak in a large Mexican city currently under quarantine. With the disease spreading rapidly, people going missing, and time running short, they stumble upon a secret buried under the town that will prove to be an even greater threat to human life on Earth.

The first trailer for Sam Qualiana's new found footage monster flick, The Legend of Six Fingers, has arrived; and we have every single second of it right here for you. Check it out, and look for more on this one as soon as we get it!

Qualiana, who stars in the film with local actor Andrew Elias, previously helmed Snow Shark: Ancient Snow Beast. Debbie Rochon and Lynn Lowry co-star in the film, which was produced by Greg Lamberson (Slime City Massacre, Dry Bones) and executive produced by Michael Raso of Camp Motion Pictures.

Qualiana and Elias portray two amateur filmmakers documenting a string of animal slaughters in rural Royalton. They interview a farm couple (Lowry and newcomer Bill Brown) who tell them the Native American legend of “Ya Yahk Osnuhsa,” an apelike creature with three fingers on each hand. Generations ago, “Six Fingers” stalked settlers who invaded his land, until one settler agreed to keep people off the creature's territory and to make animal offerings. The filmmakers set out to prove that Six Fingers exists and is responsible for the animal slayings, with terrifying results.

Synopsis
Following a rash of animal atrocities and missing persons, two would-be documentary filmmakers set off into the woods in search of a bloodthirsty legendary creature.

The nominees for the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced this morning, and there's not much for horror fans to be happy about. Read on to see which TV show and its star were the sole genre nominations to be found.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association once again bestowed some love on "American Horror Story" with this year's incarnation, "American Horror Story: Coven," receiving the nod for Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. Jessica Lange was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

And that's it for the horror side of the fence although we would like to take a moment to mention that "Orphan Black's" Tatiana Maslany garnered some well deserved recognition with a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama.

"American Horror Story: Coven" is on hiatus until January 8th, but to keep you warm until then, we have a preview of Episode 3.10, "The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks," and a few hints of what's coming.

Per usual, exec producer Ryan Murphy chatted with EW following last night's episode and shared the following info about what we can expect in the remaining four episodes:

Will we learn more about the witch hunters and that world?
Yes. Obviously now that the Corporation’s plant is dead, we get much more into that when we come back from the winter break.

The big question is: Is Queenie dead?
Everyone wants to know that and I’m not saying, but we do talk about what happens to her body in Episode 10 so keep watching.

It seems like Cordelia and Misty are building a bond. Will that continue?
Yeah. The interesting thing we’re writing about coming back from the break is that all these girls have been friends, and then it’s announced that the Seven Wonders are coming up, which is the test you take to become the new Supreme. The friendships become a little more competitive and then hard to maintain for some of them.

Will the final four episodes be about the Voodoos and the Salems teaming up?
Yes. That’s one of the things. Marie and Fiona must join forces to beat this enemy. They have different ways and approaches about what they think they should do. Selfishly I just wanted to have a lot of scenes with Angela and Jessica together because they’re so great together. So I was like, “We gotta get Marie Laveau to move in that house..." She’s there for good.

What happens to LaLaurie’s head? It’s just sittin’ upstairs on that table.
Well that’s the big mystery that we must solve, and we do solve it. I was obsessed with the idea that after the big shootout the cops would go upstairs, and there would be Kathy Bates’ head! So what happens if that would happen? That is a definite plot point that we need to resolve and do resolve.

Kyle finally seems normal. What can you say about that?
I think [Fiona] kept him slow enough for her purposes, and I love that she has made him sort of the Coven’s human Frankenstein attack dog. So that’s something that continues in the last batch.

What can you say about the final four episodes?
Well, we have a lot of special stuff... Can Marie and Fiona beat these witch hunters that have been after their groups for centuries? Who’s going to be the next Supreme? Who’s Kyle going to choose in terms of the witches? What’s going to happen to LaLaurie, and what’s going to happen to the friendship between Queenie and LaLaurie? So those are the driving forces.
