"The Vampire Diaries" returns on January 23rd with its 100th episode, which is entitled "500 Years of Solitude." Will Katherine survive? Guess we have a few weeks to wait before finding out!

Will the show actually kill off one of its most popular characters? They need to do something to get this season back on track, and while our vote would be to kill off Elena instead, we're pretty sure that's not gonna happen.

Synopsis

Juan Antonio Bayona, best known for his work on the hugely successful 2007 horror film The Orphanage and the 2012 Oscar contender The Impossible, directs the first two episodes.

Rollins is joined on screen by Twilight franchise star Boo Boo Stewart (X-Men: Days of Future Past), Kate Greenhouse (The Dark Hours), and Jordan Todosey ("Degrassi: The Next Generation"). As we told you last month, Machinima is working on an adaptation of the Tim Daniel comic property Enormous, looking to turn into a live-action web series. But first, they're setting their sights on shooting the pilot episode, which has just found its cast. Read on for the Enormous details!

THR reports that Ceren Lee, Erica Gimpel, and Steve Brand have all just joined the cast of the pilot, which enters production today in Los Angeles. They join Garret Coffey, Billy Miller, and Charles Melton in the story set in a world where humanity is under attack from gigantic monsters.

Lee will play the lead, a woman who works for the United Nation's Search and Rescue division looking for abandoned children. Gimpel's character protects Lee's rescuer, while Brand is the story's antagonist, a soldier of fortune making a living in this post-apocalyptic world.

Adrian Askarieh’s Prime Universe Productions will produce the pilot for Machinima before turning it into a full-fledged series that can play on various digital platforms the company appears on, including the new Xbox One.

BenDavid Grabinski, who helmed the short Cost of Living, will direct the pilot whose concept is a blend of Cloverfield and "The Walking Dead." Grabinski penned the script with Andre Øvredal (Trollhunter).

Mirage Men Synopsis

Detroit-based Exxodus Pictures and Freestyle Releasing announce a North American wide theatrical release date of April 4, 2014, for JINN, a tension-filled supernatural thriller. The film, written and directed by Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad, was produced by Ahmad, Benjamin Dresser, and Alan Noel Vega and stars Dominic Rains (Flight 93), Serinda Swan (USA’s “Graceland”), Ray Park (Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace), Faran Tahir (Elysium), and William Atherton (Die Hard). Richard Mandell, Najam Syed, and Shahid Syed executive produced the film for Exxodus.

The amazing story of JINN involves ancient mythological beings that have rarely been explored in US cinemas. The premise of the jinn concept, known to over 1 billion people around the world, involves ghost-like entities and revolves around creation mythology.

Already generating a substantial amount of early attention, this is the first film to accurately introduce and portray the jinn concept. JINN is also unique in that the vehicle used in the action sequences in the film, known as the “Firebreather,” was designed by director Ahmad and is the first vehicle in motion picture history available to the public for purchase. Powerhouse horror producer Jason Blum is looking to bring some more small scare terror to the tube with a new project called "The Inn" for NBC. What haunting horrors lay in wait? Read on for the first details.

According to Deadline, Blum (pictured; Paranormal Activity, Insidious, The Purge and Sinister franchises) has teamed with TV executive-turned-producer Christina Wayne ("Copper") for "The Inn," a supernatural drama project set up at NBC.

Written by Patrick Macmanus (Marco Polo) and produced by Universal TV Studios, "The Inn" is described as a classic ghost story that follows a group of strangers drawn to an isolated hotel by fate. Compelled to find the truth behind the horrors that haunt them and answer the question of why they were brought together, the ensemble soon discovers that The Inn is aware of their pasts and presents and is using them to force the guests to confront themselves and each other.

Blum and Wayne will executive produce through their production companies, Blumhouse Prods. and Assembly Entertainment, along with their consultants on TV development, Gerard Bocaccio (Blumhouse) and Miura Kite (Assembly). Macmanus is co-executive producing.

Claymation artist and wizard Trent Shy is back with another blood-spattered short for you cats to chew on. According to Shy, this latest bit of gooey goodness is "inspired by the films I love, grindhouse cinema, and the VHS tapes I grew up watching. No plot and lots of blood and monsters."

Few horror movie killers can rank among the top tier slaughter stars we've all come to love, but damn it, they try. Well, guess what, kids? Another is on his way, and one thing is certain: He has the girth to muscle in!

Since the 1970's the world has been seen the rise of some of the most iconic killers, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and Thomas Hewitt (Leatherface). Australia has had its fair share of AMAZING horror films from Patrick, Lake Mungo, Snow Town, Razorback, The Loved Ones, and of course the legend himself "Greg McLean" with Wolf Creek and now Wolf Creek 2 to name only a few.

The problem is Australia has never had a killer with the status of the American killers; Voorhees has had over 160 kills in his career and is hands down one of the most feared killers on the planet.

Independent writer/director Chris Sun wants to change this and challenge these iconic characters with Australia's newest slasher franchise, Charlie's Farm.

Bigfoot Wars, Origin Releasing's feature film adaptation of Eric S. Brown's Bigfoot War novel, is well on its way, and right now we have three quick videos to check out so you can steady yourself for the upcoming battles that lie ahead!

Origin Releasing's Bigfoot Wars tells the story of a small town that becomes the focal point of a brutal clash between man and a legendary beast.

The film stars C. Thomas Howell (pictured), Danny Boaz, Juli Erickson, Frederic Doss, Holt Boggs, Elyse Bigler, Taylor Weaver, Jackey Hall, Mindy Raymond, Carl Savering, Billy Blair, and Larry Jack Dotson as well as Monica Harmse, Chandler Allen, and Audrey Ellis Fox.

Brian Jaynes (Humans Versus Zombies, Boggy Creek) is directing from a script by Andrea Doss, Frederic Doss, and Jacob Mauldin. Edgen Films and D Zone Films are producing.

It's official! The new Sarah Connor has been found for the upcoming next entry in The Terminator franchise, tentatively known as Terminator: Genesis. Read on for all the news, and here's hoping this mother of dragons can really light things up!

According to Deadline, Emilia Clarke will play Sarah Connor in the Terminator reboot, re-teaming with director Alan Taylor, who has worked with Clarke in the HBO series "Game Of Thrones." Clarke potentially joins Jason Clarke, who is in negotiations to play her son, John Connor, in a storyline which involves a trip into the future. Deadline revealed that he was in talks earlier this week. Arnold Schwarzenegger is also back in his signature cyborg role.

Set for a July 2015 release, the latest Terminator will be the fifth installment of the storied movie series, which began in 1984 as an indie distributed by Orion. Schwarzenegger starred in all but the last one, 2009’s Terminator Salvation, in which he made only a digitally processed cameo.

The film's plot details have not been revealed other than this is the first installment in a stand-alone trilogy. Skydance and Annapurna will co-finance along with Paramount with David Ellison producing for Skydance and Megan Ellison producing for Annapurna. Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier penned the script, and Alan Taylor will direct.

Several more stills have leaked from the latest Alien game from Sega, Alien: Isolation, and surprise! The environments look great! There's just one hitch... the early environments looked great in Aliens: Colonial Marines, too, and look how that turned out.

In any event, the images below made it online via Twitter. At this point we don't know if anything that we've seen or heard about for this game is real. We can hope though, right?

The game, entitled Alien: Isolation, will be centered around Ellen Ripley's daughter. Alien: Isolation is thought to be developed by Total War studio Creative Assembly. The game, which will be on both current and next-gen consoles sometime next year, is a first-person shooter that uses both stealth and horror elements; and it's inspired by games like Dishonored and Bioshock.

Lifetime's upcoming biopic about Lizzie Borden, Lizzie Borden Took an Ax, is set to debut on January 25th of next year, and the first trailer for the TV-movie has arrived. Check it out; it looks to be a campy, fun time!

The film will be released by Dimension Films in the US and Canada on August 22nd, 2014.

Snoot Entertainment (You’re Next, The Guest) announced today that they have completed principal photography on the dramatic thriller Faults, starring Leland Orser (The Guest, Taken) and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Final Destination 3, The Thing).

Joining Orser and Winstead is an accomplished cast including Beth Grant, Chris Ellis, Lance Reddick, and John Gries. Riley Stearns wrote and directed the project, which was produced by Snoot’s Keith Calder and Jessica Wu.

Synopsis:
Claire (Winstead) is under the grip of a mysterious new cult called Faults. Desperate to be reunited with their daughter, Claire’s parents hire Ansel Roth (Orser), one of the world’s foremost authorities on cults and mind control, to kidnap and deprogram her.
