Premiere Entertainment Group announces today that principal photography has commenced in Palm Springs, CA, on its latest feature film THE NIGHT CREW. Directed by Christian Sesma and written by Paul Sloan and Sesma, the movie stars Luke Goss (HELLBOY II), Danny Trejo (MACHETE), Bokeem Woodbine (RIDDICK) and Chasty Ballesteros (FINAL DESTINATION 5). THE NIGHT CREW is being produced by Ryan Noto.

Our dedicated actors and crew are working feverishly to finish this intense and action packed shoot. By virtue of owning my post house Digital Post Services (DPS), we have on-set technology that allows us to simultaneously create a teaser of this highly anticipated film that will be available for screening in Berlin at Premiere Entertainment’s suite.”

THE NIGHT CREW centers on a group of hard up bounty hunters who must survive the night in a desert motel against a horde of savage cartel killers. They soon realize that their fugitive, a mysterious Chinese woman, is much more than she lets on.

The director of photography is Anthony J. Rickert-Epstein (WE THE PARTY), and the editor is Eric Potter (THE LINCOLN LAWYER) with casting by Jennifer Cooper (SCENIC ROUTE, "CSI:NY").

Jack Campbell and Elias Axume from Premiere Entertainment Group are handling worldwide distribution and will be introducing the title at the upcoming Berlin International Film Festival.

The darkest day of horror the world has ever known is upon us. Pre-orders have launched for Fright-Rags' merchandise celebrating George A. Romero's Day of the Dead.

Fright-Rags' limited edition Day of the Dead box set features a shirt designed by Justin Osbourn (available as a T-shirt, girls shirt, and zip-up hoodie) along with a canister of rocks taken from the Wampum Mines - the filming location of Day of the Dead. An 11"x17" poster and a prismatic sticker round out the set, which is beautifully packed in a collector's box. There are only 500 box sets available so sizes and quantities are limited.

Zombie aficionados will also want to pick up the limited edition 18"x24" screen-printed poster featuring artwork by Gary Pullin. The posters are limited to a mere 200, and each individually-numbered piece is signed by Lori Cardille (who stars in the film as Sarah). Pullin's art is also available on shirts and hoodies.

SpectreVision partners Elijah Wood, Daniel Noah, and Josh C. Waller have announced their next project that will be looking to send many a shiver down your spine. Tales of evil kids always end up pretty popular so The Boy has his work cut out for him!

Principal photography will commence on February 17, 2014, on the SpectreVision production of The Boy, based on the award-winning short subject film Henley, which appeared in competition at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

Synopsis:
The Boy is the first film of a planned trilogy tracking the childhood of a future serial killer, with installments depicting the character at ages 9, 14, and 18, respectively, and ending with his full transformation to an iconic mass murderer.

The Boy is directed by Craig McNeill from a screenplay by McNeill and Clay McLeod Chapman, who created the characters in his novel Miss Corpus. The pair previously collaborated on the respective direction and writing of the short film. SpectreVision’s Elijah Wood, Daniel Noah, and Josh C. Waller serve as producers. Partnering with SpectreVision on the project is Chiller Films.

The title role of Ted Henley will be portrayed by 8-year-old Jared Breeze (pictured), who came to the attention of the producers when he made his feature film debut in the SpectreVision production of Cooties, which will premiere at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.

Also appearing in the film from the cast of Cooties will be Aiden Lovekamp, who starred in Paranormal Activity 4 and will be seen as the young Bobby Fisher in the upcoming Pawn Sacrifice, directed by Edward Zwick. Lovekamp will portray a young boy who passes through Ted’s world with his parents.

The Boy will be filmed on location in Medellín, Colombia.

Open Road Films has decided to keep its bun in the oven a little while longer and has shifted the release date of A Haunted House 2 to April 18th, a few weeks later than originally slated.

The sequel to A Haunted House catches back up with Malcolm (Wayans), who is trying to get a fresh start after having to exorcise demons out of his ex. However, moving into a beautiful home with his new girlfriend and her two children does nothing to stop the paranormal — or the humor.

TIM OMUNDSON (“PSYCH”) GUEST STARS AS CAIN - Looking to reclaim his place as King of Hell, Crowley (Mark Sheppard) asks Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help finding “The First Blade,” the only blade that can kill Abbadon (guest star Alaina Huffman).

Knowing he owes Crowley a favor for helping Sam (Jared Padalecki) and also wanting Abaddon dead himself, Dean reluctantly agrees; and the two set off on a road trip. However, Dean and Crowley are completely unprepared when they find out who has the blade – Cain (guest star Omundson), the first son.

Meanwhile, Sam is back at the bunker with Castiel (Misha Collins), who notices there is some leftover grace inside Sam. If they can extract it, they can use the grace to track Gadreel. The only problem is the procedure may do permanent damage to Sam.

Pretty soon NBC will begin airing the Winter Olympics, and as soon as they're done, the fun really begins for horror fans when "Hannibal" Season 2 kicks off on February 28th with Episode 2.01, "Kaiseki." Here are the first photos from the ep.

The second season of the critically acclaimed “Hannibal” will contain 13 episodes, beginning with “Kaiseki” (per Wikipedia, a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner or the collection of skills and techniques that allow the preparation of such meals).

Pairing Vampire Academy with Valentine's Day, which happens to fall on a Friday, seemed like a no-brainer; but the powers-that-be at The Weinstein Company must see things differently as they've moved the film up a week and released a pair of TV spots announcing the change.

A few days ago CBS announced the premiere date of its Halle Berry-starring, Steven Spielberg-produced summer series "Extant," and now the network has released the first teaser for the show... What Is "Extant"?

"Extant" will debut on Wednesday, July 2 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT).

Synopsis:
"EXTANT" is a mystery thriller about a female astronaut, Molly (Halle Berry), who is trying to reconnect with her family when she returns after a year in outer space. Her experiences lead to events that ultimately will change the course of human history.

Steven Spielberg, Greg Walker, Mickey Fisher, who wrote the script, Brooklyn Weaver, Justin Falvey, and Darryl Frank will serve as executive producers. Halle Berry will serve as co-executive producer.

The cast for the feature version of post-apocalyptic novel Z for Zachariah is beginning to firm up with some high-profile actors, including the currently red hot Margot Robbie from The Wolf of Wall Street.

Per THR's Heat Vision Blog, Aussie actress Robbie is in negotiations to replace Amanda Seyfried, originally set to star in the adaptation as Ann Burden, a teen who is seemingly the sole survivor of a nuclear war (she dropped out due to scheduling issues). Should Robbie sign, the character will be aged up a bit.

Already confirmed for the film are Chris Pine (Star Trek, Carriers) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave, Children of Men). Craig Zobel is directing, and Nissar Modi wrote the script based on Robert C. O'Brien's thriller, which was published posthumously in 1974. O'Brien's real name was Robert Leslie Conly, and upon his death, the last few chapters of Z for Zachariah were written from notes by this wife and one of his daughters.

Gary Ross and Lucky Hat Entertainment’s Stephen Bannatyne are executive producing, along with Silver Reel’s Claudia Bluemhuber and Lotus Entertainment’s Jim Seibel and Bill Johnson.
