A road trip takes a turn for the deadly in Jeremy Lovering's debut film In Fear (review), which is headed home this March, and right now we have a look at the very first clip from this chilling new spooker.

Having already conquered the Sundance Film Festival, In Fear, the critically acclaimed feature film debut of writer/director Jeremy Lovering, arrives March 11th on Blu-ray, VOD, and DVD from Anchor Bay Films.

In Fear will also enjoy several U.S. exclusive theatrical engagements starting Friday, March 7th.

Synopsis

On Saturday, February 15th, the LiveSciFi extreme ghost hunters will be streaming live their investigation of the haunted "Welles House" of Wilkes Barre, PA. While staying inside the haunted house for 48 hours straight, they will be streaming the paranormal investigation live worldwide via YouTube.

Known as Pennsylvania's own Amityville Horror house, 46 South Welles Street was widely reported in the 70's as being a more dangerous haunting than Amityville. After living in the house for a month in 2013 and being face-to-face with extreme paranormal and demonic activity, Tim Wood [LiveSciFi creator and lead ghost hunter] decided to buy it last December.

This weekend he and his team will be back at the haunted house practicing their unique brand of live ghost hunting and streaming it online for all to see. While performing his extreme paranormal investigation techniques, Wood will be cataloging any new conclusive evidence or sightings that occur in order to be featured alongside the proof of paranormal activity he encountered during his previous stay. The paranormal evidence will be featured in an upcoming documentary about the Welles House and its history of true evil.

A home entertainment release looms for director Matt Hish and producer Autumn Federici's terrifying thriller Haunting of the Innocent. In the interim, the beautiful ladies of the film have completed a promotional photo shoot with some of the imagery from the film. Check 'em out!

The haunted town horror feature Haunting of the Innocent was released through Redbox formats in late January and now director Matt Hish and producer Autumn Federici’s visually stunning film is getting set to haunt home video formats.

In anticipation of the home video launch, several cast members participated in a publicity shoot, consisting of Jessica Morris, Hannah Cowley, Autumn Federici, and Mariah Bonner. Each actress is dressed in dark attire, which is synchronous with the film’s dark mood. Some of the symbolic imagery from the trailer, a raven, is also shown with actress Cowley. The shoot took place at a famous vintage circus location where Daniel Knauf’s "Carnivale" (2003) and Francis Lawrence’s Water for Elephants (2011) were filmed. These beautiful images were taken by Los Angeles photographer Steve Barston.

Haunting of the Innocent is a co-production from Khoury A. Marriot, Marquis, and Raging Bull Entertainment. Their co-production, which was completed in late 2013, will unsettle the most resolute horror fan this coming March 2014. The film will also be distributed in foreign markets later this year.

The film stars Judd Nelson, Jessica Morris, Autumn Federici, Hannah Cowley, and Rib Hillis. Haunting of the Innocent is currently available across the United States through Redbox, Hulu Plus, and iTunes. The photo shoot was a team effort from Hairroin Salon and the production team.

We don't know about you cats, but we're still pretty bummed that Universal got rid of the JAWS exhibit at its theme park. It was a heavy blow to endure, but now it seems that another iconic bit of history is falling on hard times... the Psycho house.

"THE PSYCHO HOUSE," as it has come to be known, was constructed in 1959 on the Universal backlot for ALFRED HITCHCOCK's most famous film and the grandaddy to all modern horror movies, "PSYCHO" (1960). The house was home to "Norman Bates" and his overbearing "Mother" and stood menacingly on the hill behind the "Bates Motel."

Over the years the house has made hundreds of appearances in Movies, TV Shows, Documentaries, Music Videos and even Cartoons! So much so that the "Californian Gothic" house itself is now as famous the movie it featured in and has become an iconic piece of movie history.

Through the years the house has had several upgrades (It went from being just a two sided facade to three then four and finally it was given a roof to top it off!) and has gone through at least two renovations and twice it moved location completely!

Sadly, however, it has been over a decade since the Hollywood legend last had a nip 'n tuck or a fresh slap of powder and paint, and the old girl is starting to look her age... Visitors to the house today will see evidence of warped, rotting timber... Gaping holes in the woodwork with large sections of missing planks of wood... Decorative woodwork damaged and some sections missing completely from around the porch... Shingles rotten, damaged and missing from the roof... All in all it's not a pretty sight, and if something is not done soon to help stop the decay, we feel it may pass a critical point of no return!

We urge UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD to listen to our pleas to undertake a complete and total restoration of the building and in the process preserve an iconic piece of Hollywood history.

Ketchup Entertainment has acquired U.S. distribution rights for Wolves, the action thriller that marks the feature directorial debut of X-Men and Watchmen scribe David Hayter.

Copperheart Entertainment’s Steve Hoban produced with makeup effects by Oscar-winning creature designers Dave Elsey and Lou Elsey. Merritt Patterson and John Pyper-Ferguson round out the cast.

The film will be released this summer.

The much talked about NC-17 flick Lucky Bastard is gearing up for release in New York City this weekend, just in time for Valentine's Day. Because nothing says love like a found footage film about a dude banging his favorite porn star, am I right?

In preparation for the film's big, wet release, check out a set of new red band clips which tease the fun!

Gotham-based indie film distribution company CAVU Pictures will be releasing the NC-17 “found footage” feature film Lucky Bastard in theatres nationwide, beginning Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2014, in New York City at the Cinema Village (22 E. 2th Street, NY, NY 10003), and March 7, 2014, in Los Angeles at Laemmle’s NoHo 7 (5240 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood, CA 91601). The film will expand into additional cities throughout the spring.

The director and co-writer of Lucky Bastard is veteran television writer-producer Robert Nathan, best known for his Emmy-nominated work on "Law & Order," and who is also an award-winning novelist and journalist. Synopsis
LUCKY BASTARD is the story of a shy young man who wins a contest to have sex with a famous porn star on an adult website. When the young man arrives at the porno house/set location, his every move is captured on the numerous “reality television-style” wallcams that are spread out everywhere in the house. It is the found footage from these cameras that tells the story of the inevitable and horrifying reality of what actually happened.

At the center of the story are: Mike (Don McManus), who owns the “Lucky Bastard” website; his top porn star Ashley Saint (Betsy Rue); and Dave G. (Jay Paulson), the unsuspecting shy young man who wins the contest.

The “Lucky Bastard” employees treat their work matter-of-factly. Ashley, the website’s most popular performer, initially refuses to participate because she knows the winner will be humiliated by the experience but ultimately gives in when offered extra money. And the contest winner, Dave, an unassuming and shy young man, finds himself driven by shame and humiliation into committing the most horrifying acts imaginable.

The cast of LUCKY BASTARD includes veteran performers known for their work in movies, TV, and theatre, including Jay Paulson (familiar to audiences as Don Draper’s brother, Adam Whitman, in "Mad Men"), Don McManus (Grand Piano, Lovelace, The Congress), and lead actress Betsy Rue (best known from the horror hit My Bloody Valentine).

LUCKY BASTARD crosses many genres—drama, comedy, suspense thriller, horror—without entirely belonging to any of them and implicitly comments on a society in which pornography is not only a common part of modern life but also a mirror reflecting the nature of intimacy in today’s world. Talk has been circulating about a sequel to the I Am Legend Will Smith film for a while now, and website i09 caught up with writer/producer Akiva Goldsman, who shared many of the failed ideas floating about, while also confirming that a sequel or prequel will never happen.

"Oh no no, [there was] never a movie. I mean, we wrote a prequel [and] a sequel,” explained Goldsman. “We had a really interesting prequel, which was the first outbreak of the virus, during a Thanksgiving Day parade, which was awesome. We did a really interesting prequel that [took place] later. Which was right after the first… really right when the population of humans became pretty decimated. And it was this sort of trek to Washington. Which included a dark seeker elephant that had broken out of the zoo."

Don't sound like anyone's interested in revisiting this pre- or post-apocalyptic world anytime soon. Inevitably though we're sure another version will rear its head. Maybe in that one they'll actually adapt the classic Richard Matheson story instead of just borrowing its name.

Synopsis
Julia, a psychiatric patient, is tormented by her demons. Stricken by guilt and fear, she seeks the help of Manuel, a mysterious police detective, to save her from Judith, her estranged evil twin sister who wants her dead. As Julia and Manuel track Judith down and solve the crime that the twins committed years back, the film spirals down to a mind-boggling ride as the truth of Julia’s nightmarish dark past unravels.

According to Deadline, Longoria (pictured) will join Isla Fisher, Anson Mount, and "Community's" Gillian Jacobs in the film, which also has "The Big Bang Theory's" Jim Parsons in talks to co-star.

Fisher stars as a pregnant woman who moves with her husband to the countryside, where she is plagued by visions of a sinister hooded figure. Longoria will play Fisher’s fashionable, acerbic, and funny city gal pal who disapproves of her friend’s life choices.

Visions is directed by Kevin Greutert from a script by Lucas Sussman. Universal is set to distribute the Jason Blum-produced pic as the latest in the company's fruitful micro-budget genre collaborations while Blumhouse International is repping rights at the EFM in Berlin.

Dimension Films announced today that they have preemptively purchased THE WITCHES' BALLROOM, a pitch by Ray Wright. Wright previously wrote THE CRAZIES, and his last spec script, THE WIDOW, was recently sold to Vendome.

THE WITCHES' BALLROOM will be produced by Shawn Levy and Dan Levine at 21 Laps. The logline is currently being kept under wraps.

"I've been a huge fan of Ray Wright for a very long time now, and we've been trying to find something to collaborate on. THE WITCHES' BALLROOM is going to terrify audiences in a way they've never seen before," said Bob Weinstein, co-chairman of The Weinstein Company.

"It's exciting when an original idea takes off, particularly psychological horror, which is such a visceral thrill to write. Dimension is the perfect home for it," said Ray Wright.
