This Image Gallery is Guaranteed to Give You Stage FrightA new behind-the-scenes featurette for Jerome Sable's slasher musical Stage Fright has hit this crazy thing we call the Interwebs, and we have every note of it right here for you to sing along with before screaming uncontrollably and then fleeing in terror!

Magnet will release the film in its Ultra VOD program, launching it on iTunes and On Demand TODAY, April 3rd, and following with a theatrical release on May 9th.

Minnie Driver, Meat Loaf, Allie MacDonald, Douglas Smith, Kent Nolan, Brandon Uranowitz, Ephraim Ellis, Melanie Leishman, James McGowan, Steffi DiDomenicantonio, Ryan Bobkin, Leanne Miller, and Adrianna Di Liello star.

Stage Fright tells the story of a posh musical theater camp terrorized by a killer who hates musicals. Driver plays Kylie Swanson, a haunted star of the Broadway stage and mother of two siblings who find themselves at the center of the unfolding horror at the camp. Meat Loaf plays Roger McCall, a slumming Broadway producer-turned-camp director.

The Amityville Flies Swarm Around Young Star McKenna Grace

Cameron Monaghan Steps Foot Inside Amityville HouseCasting news for Dimension's brand new take on an enduring horror franchise, simply titled Amityville, has been coming at us hot and heavy in recent weeks, and today another actress has signed on to get haunted. Read on!

Per Bloody Disgusting, "The Young and the Restless" star McKenna Grace is the latest to knock on Amityville's door, being cast to play the youngest daughter of Jennifer Jason Leigh's character.

Leigh stars as lead character Joan, a single mother who moves her three kids into the Amityville house, which of course has a very dark history. Disney star Bella Throne is also on board, and last we heard, Cameron Monaghan was in final negotiations to join the fright flick.

Maniac remake director Franck Khalfoun will direct.

Dimension had planned on reigniting the popular horror franchise using a found-footage angle, but that idea has been dropped as the format appears to have fallen out of favor with discerning genre fans. Amityville remains scheduled for release on January 2, 2015.

Daniel Farrands and Casey La Scala co-wrote the script and are expected to produce with Jason Blum of hit factory Blumhouse.

Image Gallery Lets You Feel the Cold in July

Image Gallery Lets You Feel the Cold in JulyAfter impressing with films like Stake Land and We Are What We Are, Jim Mickle unleashed Cold in July on audiences at Sundance this past January, which was scooped up for release by IFC Films. While we wait, check out a gallery of stills, which see Michael C. Hall ("Dexter") once again plunging into darkness!

Look for the film in limited theaters and VOD outlets on May 23rd.

Cold in July also stars Vinessa Shaw, Don Johnson, Sam Shepard and Nick Damici.

Synopsis
Despite the trappings — guns, stakeouts, an ex-con, a private eye, a porn ring, a shootout — this isn’t an ordinary suspense novel. It’s a lean, effective character study about a man who risks his comfortable life to pursue something half-glimpsed within his psyche. He feels guilty about his father’s suicide, he doubts his ability to raise his own son, and now he’s mixed up with another father, whose son has gone into a place of great darkness. A stirring tale in which actions have consequences, and no one is left unchanged by the things that they see and do.

US Trailer for Blood Glacier Thaws Out

US Trailer for Blood Glacier Thaws OutIt's been a few months since we've had anything to report about Rammbock director Marvin Kren's Blood Glacier (review), which hit UK DVD back in January. Now that it's at long last set for release here in the states, we've gotten our very own trailer, which shows clear inspirations from John Carpenters The Thing. Dig it!

Look for Blood Glacier in select theaters and on VOD platforms May 2nd.

Kren's new film stars Michael Fuith, Edita Malovcic, and Brigitte Kren.

Synopsis
Janek is a technician on a climate observation station high up in the Alps. He is a loner; the regularly changing scientists who share the rocky idyll with him are just tolerated by him. Making things more difficult is the approaching visit of the environment minister, which brings rivalries at the station to the boil.

So everyone involved is grateful when their barren routine is interrupted by a strange discovery. A red liquid pours from a nearby glacier, melted free from the ice crust shrinking with climate change. This “glacier blood” turns out to be a very special juice, with unimagined effects on the local animals.

Soon Janek has his hands full defending himself and the station against a growing horde of monstrosities: biological ones lurking outside, human ones inside. And as if all that wasn’t already dangerous enough, his heart also threatens to break: Among the minister’s entourage is Tanja, who is the only one who knows the reason for Janek’s self-chosen isolation…

It doesn’t last long as horrifying visions start to interrupt his waking moments. Following clues that take him to the dark and blood-splattered underbelly of New Orleans, Dylan meets his arch nemesis, Quincy (Vinnie Jones), and soon finds that both his life and soul are in danger. Here's Your Invitation to Come Join Leatherface for a 35mm Screening this SaturdayI've been a fan of Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Masscare III since it was released, but a lot of you have washed you hands of it for some reason. Those of you in the Los Angeles area have a chance to reappraise it this weekend at the New Beverly Cinema.

Screening this Saturday, April 5, at 11:59 PM, Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III is part of Brian Collins' Horror Movie A Day / New Beverly Midnights ongoing series. If all you remember about this one is that it was, somewhat infamously, butchered by the MPAA, or if you're an anti-franchise snob who doesn't think a sequel can have merit, you should consider giving it another shot. It's really just a slicker, pseudo-remake of the original, but with all the 80s characteristics that make a movie fun: a fantastic cast, good one-liners, heavy metal and some inspired carnage.

The New Beverly Cinema is located at 7165 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA. Tickets are only $8 and can be purchased here.

    Doors open at 11:59 PM.

To psych you up, check out this original artwork created by Jacopo Tenani.

Thomas Mann (pictured; Project X) and Taylor Spreitler ("Melissa & Joey") are the latest to be cast in the film, which began shooting in Los Angeles this week.

They join the previously announced Jennifer Jason Leigh, McKenna Grace, Bella Throne, and Cameron Monaghan. Leigh stars as lead character Joan, a single mother who moves her three kids into the Amityville house, which of course has a very dark history.

Maniac remake helmer Franck Khalfoun directs.

Dimension had planned on reigniting the popular horror franchise using a found-footage angle, but that idea has been dropped as the format appears to have fallen out of favor with discerning genre fans. Amityville is scheduled for release on January 2, 2015.

Daniel Farrands and Casey La Scala co-wrote the script and produce with Jason Blum of hit factory Blumhouse.

The Amityville Horror House Back on the MarketLast year we told you that you could buy the house in which the famed Amityville Horror haunting took place if you happened to have like $1.45 million laying around. After no one bit, the house then dropped to $1.35 million. Now it's going for a bargain bin price of...

JUST $955,000! Um... Zak Bagans... are you listening?!?!?

The 10-room, Colonial-style building was used for exteriors in the 1979 film.

The "real" Amityville house at 112 Ocean Avenue was made famous on November 13, 1974, after police discovered six members of the DeFeo family – father, mother, and four of their five children – all shot and killed execution style.

In December of 1975, George and Kathy Lutz and Kathy’s three children then moved into the large Dutch Colonial style house. After just 28 days the Lutzes left, claiming to have been terrorized by paranormal phenomena while living there. The Lutzes' reports of strange and horrific experiences was the basis of the book and film.
