The expanded six-episode new season of "In the Flesh" picks up nine months after the events of Season 1, and the war to protect the town from the Undead, known as Partially Deceased Syndrome (PDS) sufferers, has ceased.

Luke Newberry (The Legend of Hercules) reprises his role as Kieren Walker and leads the cast together with Emily Bevan ("The Thick of It") as Amy Driver, Harriet Cains ("Doctors") as Jem Walker, Stephen Thompson ("Doctors") as Philip Wilson, Kenneth Cranham (Maleficent) as Vicar Oddie, Kevin Sutton ("Shameless") as Gary, Steve Cooper as Steve Walker, Marie Critchley as Sue Walker, Sandra Hugget as Shirley Wilson, Gerard Thompson as Dean, and Gillian Waugh as Pearl Pinder.

They are joined by new cast members Wunmi Mosaku ("Dancing on the Edge,"I Am Slave), playing local MP Maxine Martin, and Emmett J. Scanlan ("The Fall,""Hollyoaks"), who plays charismatic disciple of the Undead Prophet, Simon.

One of my personal favorites from last year was Bad Milo!, co-written and directed by Jacob Vaughan. The film's titular butt demon was one of the most adorable little monsters in the genre's recent past, and it looks like Vaughan is once again headed into pint-sized creature territory...

Which is quite frankly music to my ears. Read on!

According to Bloody Disgusting Vaughan has just been attached to direct The Anklebiter, which was formerly titled Zombie Baby. Penned by Andy Jones, the film is set after the zombie apocalypse and centers on a young couple who take in an undead baby, finding themselves unable to kill it. Ah, the joys of parenthood.

The script was written several years back, and it was in fact included on the 2010 Black List, the annual roundup of the hottest unproduced screenplays in Hollywood.

Can't think of anyone more suited to tackle such a whacky tale than Jacob Vaughan, so count us in!

Production is currently under way on the long gestating feature film adaptation of R.L. Stine's mega-successful Goosebumps books, and the cast has just been filled out with two more names. Read on for the latest!

The Wrap reports that "Veep" star Timothy Simons (pictured) has signed on to give us all Goosebumps along with comic actress Amanda Lund. They join the previously announced Jack Black, Ken Marino, Amy Ryan, Odeya Rush, Ryan Lee, Halston Sage, and Dylan Minnette.

In the film, directed by Rob Letterman, Black portrays famed children's horror writer R.L. Stine, whose monsters, it turns out, are actually real. When they escape from his books and attack an unsuspecting town, it's up to Stine and two teens to get the monsters back into their stories.

Goosebumps, which comes from a screenplay by Darren Lemke and Mike White, is set for release on March 23, 2016. It's produced by Neal H. Moritz through his Original Film banner and Deborah Forte of Scholastic Entertainment.

Look for it in theatres on August 7, 2015.

Next Thursday marks the online debut of a brand new trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and today the trailer gets its own teaser, to whet your appetite. Yes. A teaser trailer. For a trailer. We're super excited about the movie here on Dread, so we'll take whatever we can get. Dig it!

In 2009 FEARnet launched "Fear Clinic," a horror series starring Robert Englund as Dr. Andover, a fear doctor who induces hallucinations in patients dealing with crippling phobias. Now a feature version is on its way, and we've got two brand new posters on tap for ya, ahead of its premiere at Cannes. Check 'em out!

Anchor Bay Films picked up all rights to Fear Clinic. The deal includes theatrical, VOD, digital, and home entertainment. Fear Clinic is slotted for a Halloween 2014 release.

In the film Robert Englund reprises his role as Dr. Andover; Fiona Dourif plays Sara Falls, a young woman who seeks the help of Dr. Andover after her phobias begin to reemerge; and Thomas Dekker plays Blake Patton, a disabled man who survives a terrible tragedy and is subsequently brought to the clinic. Also cast is Cleopatra Coleman (Step Up: Revolution), who plays Sara’s best friend, Megan McAllister, who possesses a fear of spiders. Rounding out the cast are Angelina Armani (Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2) and Kevin Gage (Heat).

Speaking of the film, Robert Hall said, "This is a whole different playing field. My new film has a much darker and surreal tone than the episodes, and I think fans will really appreciate the direction we’re going in." Regarding the cast, he adds, "I’m terribly excited to get to collaborate with Fiona Dourif, who blows me away with her talent, and of course Thomas Dekker gets the best out of me when we’re on set and vice versa."

The film opens with a tragedy that launches five people into the public eye. Dr. Andover is enlisted to lend his expertise to help them overcome trauma-induced phobias. A year later terrifying "aftershocks" rattle the survivors, leading to them to find their way back to the fear clinic seeking answers. As they line up for another turn in the chamber, Dr. Andover believes that something more sinister may be at work.

One of the greatest tales of terror ever told, Richard Matheson's Hell House was turned into a movie entitled The Legend of Hell House back in 1973. If you haven't see it... do yourselves a favor... track it down NOW and watch it before the remake comes. Speaking of which...

Shock Till You Drop is reporting that 20th Century Fox is getting set to revisit that hellish setting once again with a fresh remake. Fox has been trying to get this project off the ground since 2007, but apparently with the success of film's like The Conjuring, their interest has been more than renewed. As of this writing there's still no director or writer attached. Stay tuned.

In Hell House, Rolf Rudolph Deutsch is going die. But when Deutsch, a wealthy magazine and newpaper publisher, starts thinking seriously about his impending death, he offers to pay a physicist and two mediums, one physical and one mental, $100,000 each to establish the facts of life after death.

Dr. Lionel Barrett, the physicist, accompanied by the mediums, travel to the Belasco House in Maine, which has been abandoned and sealed since 1949 after a decade of drug addiction, alcoholism, and debauchery. For one night, Barrett and his colleagues investigate the Belasco House and learn exactly why the townfolks refer to it as the Hell House.

Look for the original John Hough film to hit Blu-ray later this year from The Scream Factory.

Out here in Southern California it's been hovering around 90 degrees for the passed few days and that's really gotten summertime on our minds. MPI is apparently feeling the warmth to as their latest acquisition will see them celebrating a Summer of Blood.

According to Deadline the hipster horror comedy Summer Of Blood, from writer-director Onur Tukel (Richard’s Wedding, Septien), has been acquired by MPI Media Group after debuting at last month’s Tribeca Film Festival.

Tukel also stars in the indie as Erik Sparrow, a selfish, schlubby NYC hipster whose miserable life turns around when he meets a vampire in Brooklyn and becomes a blood-sucker himself.

MPI’s Dark Sky Films will debut the pic, described as “Curb Your Enthusiasm meets True Blood,” in a Fall 2014 theatrical run and DVD/VOD release. Summer Of Blood also stars Anna Margaret Hollyman, Dakota Goldhor, Dustin Guy, Melodie Sisk, and Jason Selvig.

Clifford McCurdy, Melodie Sisk, Max Heller and Matt Grady produced the film which Brooklynite Tukel shot in nine days in Bushwick. MPI’s Greg Newman negotiated the deal with XYZ Films’ Nate Bolotin on behalf of the filmmakers.

In Hollywood Robert Downey Jr. can pretty much make any movie he wants to as his Iron Man muscles have more than beat down the box office. That's why it thrills us that he's decided to go with a werewolf tale! Read on!

Deadline reports that Warner Bros has acquired Cloaked, a pitch that will be scripted by Derek Connolly and will be produced by Warners-based Team Downey partners Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey. The pitch is based on an idea by Robert Downey Jr., and the Downeys developed the concept with the writer before bringing it to the studio. They’re keeping the logline under wraps, but it’s a supernatural horror comedy in the vein of An American Werewolf In London, which perfectly threaded the needle combining laughs and scares.

UK thriller White Settlers is heading to Cannes, and Notanumber Productions have unveiled their international sales poster for the film, which will be screened to prospective distributors on May 16th.

White Settlers, directed by the Grimmfest film festival's head honcho Simeon Halligan, is a tense, nightmarish tale of a couple who escape from the fast-paced life of London to live in a remote cottage in Scotland. But, as they soon find out, they are far from welcome.

Written by Ian Fenton and starring Pollyanna McIntosh (The Woman) and Lee Williams ("The Tudors") with a supporting appearance by Joanne Mitchell (Before Dawn), the film will be sold internationally by Metrodome.

An assured follow-up to Halligan's previous Brit horror Splintered, this new film should go down really well when it hits the festival circuit later this year.

Director Halligan said when providing us with the artwork, "Here's the first look at the international sales poster for our new suspense thriller White Settlers. If you liked movies like The Strangers and Eden Lake, then this will likely be up your alley!"

THR is reporting that Jon Croker has signed on to write DreamWorks’ The Prey, the remake of the 2011 French thriller with Charles S. Cohen producing and Daniel Battsek serving as executive producer. Read on for more.

The original film centers on a low-level crook who had to break out of jail in order to save his family from his former cellmate, who turns out to be a brilliant but deranged serial killer.

Eric Valette directed the original, titled La Proie, which was written by Luc Bossi and Laurent Turner and produced by Bossi with his company, Brio Films. StudioCanal co-produced and distributed the film.

Croker is an up-and-coming British writer who wrote The Woman in Black: Angel of Death, the sequel to the 2012 hit horror movie that is now in production. His other horror projects include developing a remake of The Abominable Snowman with Hammer Films as well as Black Palace for Pathe.

The found footage anthology films V/H/S and V/H/S 2 burst upon the scene and left behind a wondrously gooey splat. Word has just broken that a third flick in the franchise is on its way and it's ready to go Viral.

Screen Daily reports that Epic Pictures Group will commence sales in Cannes next month for V/H/S Viral.

The Collective and Bloody Disgusting produce the latest installment of the franchise, which features segments directed by Todd Lincoln, Nacho Vigalondo, Marcel Sarmiento, Gregg Bishop, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead.

V/H/S Viral focuses on fame-obsessed teens who unwittingly become stars of the next internet sensation.

Marcel Sarmimento, TJ Cimfel, Dave White, Gregg Bishop, Nacho Vigalondo, Justin Benson, Aaron Moorehead and Lincoln wrote the screenplay. Emilia Zoryan, Justin Welborn and Emmy Argo are among the cast. Brad Miska and and Gary Binkow serve as producers.

“It’s an honor to bring cutting-edge horror to audiences around the world, and the fact that each film features the work of top genre filmmakers makes this franchise truly exciting,” said EPIC Pictures Group CEO Patrick Ewald. “We’re very proud to continue to be a part of V/H/S Viral.”

Deadline reports that Sofia Black-D’Elia (pictured) has landed the lead role in Blumhouse thriller Viral. She’ll play teenager Emma, who is put to the test along with her family to survive a city-wide quarantine after a deadly outbreak, with the increasingly violent infected trapped inside.

The original Black List, Blood List, and Hit List script (formerly known as Peste) is by Barbara Marshall. Christopher Landon (Disturbia, Paranormal Activity 2, 3, 4, and 5) was tapped to rewrite. She will star opposite Analeigh Tipton who will play Stacey, Emma’s sister.

Synopsis:
A teenage girl begins a video documentary about her life for a school project just as a terrifying virus sweeps through her small town. Quarantined with her family, she thinks they are out of harm’s way, but she soon learns that the virus has invaded their house. Her video documents the family’s frantic struggle to find a cure before they are completely taken over by the outbreak.
