Nedland Media Options Stephen King's Bad Little Kid for a Film AdaptationTwo Stephen King stories in one day? The man is on fire! This past March 14th King released a new short e-story, "Bad Little Kid," in France and Germany, and it has now been optioned for a feature film by Laurent Bouzereau and his production company, Nedland Media Inc.

Per THR's Heat Vision Blog, Bouzereau plans to direct. He previously wrote and directed the 2011 TCM film A Night at the Movies: The Horrors of Stephen King, which featured King discussing horror films and their popularity with moviegoers.

A supernatural tale, "Bad Little Kid" (which King says he wrote specifically for his fans in those two European countries who were so hospitable to him when he visited in November of last year) centers on a man whose life changes forever when he realizes that a mysterious boy is causing the deaths of people he loves.

Look for more as it comes.

See the Opening 6 Minutes of The Upper FootageWay back in 2011, the bizarre story broke that Quentin Tarantino had purchased video footage of a young girl overdosing on drugs. Word was that Tarantino was going to release all of the footage as a movie, which was to be titled Upper. Now you can see the movie for yourself, starting with the opening!

The Upper Footage is available now through Vimeo On Demand, a service that makes films available for instant viewing for a limited period of time.

Check out the first 6 minutes below, and let us know what you make of all this in the comments section.

You can learn more over on official The Upper Footage website and The Upper Footage Facebook page.

Synopsis
The Upper Footage is the first film experience of its kind. The film is an edited version of 393 minutes of recovered footage documenting a young girl’s tragic overdose death and the subsequent cover-up by a group of affluent socialites. What started as a blackmail plot played out over YouTube became Hollywood’s biggest drug scandal, turned into a heavily controversial film property that was rumored to be held by some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Now, after playing itself out in the media for three years, it is finally making its way to the public.

Freddie Highmore and Carlton Cuse Talk Bates Motel's Season 2 Finale, Mother/Son Bond, End Game, and Lots More

Freddie Highmore and Carlton Cuse Talk Bates Motel's Season 2 Finale, Mother/Son Bond, End Game, and Lots MoreTo help you prep for tonight's Season 2 finale of "Bates Motel," Episode 2.10 - "The Immutable Truth," we have the highlights of a recent interview with series star Freddie Highmore and co-creator Carlton Cuse.

The topics covered range from one we're always curious about - how much they'll be deviating from the source material - to what we can expect tonight; what's in store for Norma and Norman, Dylan and Norman, and Norma and George; plans for Season 3 and beyond; plus a few other tidbits.

Q: Given that we all know the source material so well, how wedded to that are you? By now we've become so invested in the characters as we know them from the series that we don't want them to end up there. Is that possible, or do they need to end up there ultimately?

Carlton Cuse: You know... I'm very happy to hear you say that because I think that's the key to a great tragedy, and tragedy is a great storytelling form. It worked extremely well for Shakespeare; it worked extremely well for Jim Cameron. Titanic was a tragedy, and in that movie you kind of hope that Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet don't meet their inevitable fate. I think that tension between sort of your expectations as to what's going to happen to these characters and what's actually occurring now on their journey is that dramatic tension… the essence of what we are trying to accomplish as writers.

And I think that Freddie and Vera are… you know, no one could do a better job than the two of them executing that. We do foresee that there are some bad things that loom ahead for Norma and Norman, but I think it would actually rob the audience of the enjoyment of the journey to be too specific about how we're going to play that out… certainly we think that a literal recitation of the events of the movie would not be fully satisfying.

Q: The finale's coming up of course. What can you say about how it compares to the first season finale, which was pretty huge, as far as both in scope and thematically?

Carlton Cuse: Freddie, do you want to jump in?

Freddie Highmore: Yes! I think the whole arc of the second season has been fantastic for Norman. There's always… time that you need in terms of establishing a character and seeing them as they are before they start off on this journey. And I think towards the end of this season we certainly see Norman [evolve]… Norman was a lovely guy, but I think in the tenth [finale] episode especially and perhaps [in] number eight that we've already see, we start to see this small manipulative side to Norman that starts to question our allegiance to him and sort of support and backing of it, which has been great fun as an actor to play because you play against the sense of what people think Norman should be like.

But then there comes a point where, you know, to what extent can you continue to support his actions? And with Norman's kind of growing realization of who he is and who he might become and what he's capable of comes this sense of power for him. And what I think is great about the tenth episode is… to what extent would Norman take [that power]… And by the end of the episode… are we still with him or not?

Carlton Cuse: I think what distinguishes our show is we've tried to make the show very… heartfelt, and it has a lot of humor and emotion. And I think it operates on kind of a level that you don't expect from a show that's ostensibly about a guy who's a serial killer, and I think that's one of the things that's sort of surprising about it. So, you know, we just kind of focus on trying to make the best version of our show.

And just to go back to your original question, I personally think that this season finale is better because it moves the overall narrative a big step forward. I don't want to spoil that too much, but I think that it's pretty evident as we've moved downstream here that there are these really significant looming questions. One is: What is Norman's ultimate culpability in the murder of Ms. Watson, and secondly, how aware is Norman of what it is that he's done or is capable of doing?

To us those are really important questions because the character's self-knowledge is a huge factor in how he moves forward. We're going to jump right into the heart of those questions in the finale. It's really satisfying as a writer to have a chance to take those kinds of questions on, and [co-exec producer] Kerry [Ehrin] and I loved writing that stuff. And, you know, it was just made all the better by how well Freddie executed it. I think the finale is my favorite episode of the season, and a lot of that has to do with just how great the performances are by Freddie, Vera [Farmiga], and also Max Thieriot.

Related Story:Norman Faces a Test in these Stills from "Bates Motel" Episode 2.10 - "The Immutable Truth"

Q: Norman and Norma are usually so close, but the secret that she's been keeping about his blackouts is really driving a wedge between them. Will their relationship continue down that strained path, or is there reconciliation in the near future?

Carlton Cuse: Norma and Norman's relationship is at the very heart of the show, and that I don't think ever will change. That's what makes the show wonderful, this incredible dynamic that exists between these two characters as portrayed by these two actors. That's the very heart and center of the show. The nature of that relationship, however, will evolve over time, and I think what's really interesting is that Norman is going from being sort of a boy to being a man; that's part of his journey over the course of the show. And as he becomes more of a man, that has… consequences in terms of how he and his mother relate to each other. Kerry and I certainly don't see that relationship as being static, but we definitely see it as always being very close and very intense.

Q: All right, what's happening with George? Is he too good to be true? Are we going to see more of his back story?

Carlton Cuse: Yes… Part of the story arc this season has really been about seeing how kind of 'close to the sun' Norma can fly. She's always had this vision of moving to this idyllic small town and being in with the right people and having the right relationships. And George sort of personifies acceptance and admission into the society of this town. And in the finale we will definitely see where that leads and where that leaves Norma at the end of the season, and so it will pay off.

Q: Season 2 has covered so much ground and been such a great season with arcs for the entire family. Do you have a sense yet of what the shape of Season 3 will be? What can we expect given how much has been covered already in Season 2?

Carlton Cuse: Well, I'm happy that you like Season 2, and thank you for your kind words about it. Look, our goal is to continue to write the show on a high level and make Season 3 hopefully even better than Season 2. Our expectations are that high, and we - Kerry Ehrin and I - have actually spent a fair amount of time talking about it and we do have a preliminary game plan that we're very excited about. It's tough to say too much about it because a lot of it is driven by events that are in the finale that I don't want to spoil on this phone conference. But I feel very confident that we can make a really engaging Season 3. We do have a plan, and in fact we're already… now that we've been picked up… we're hard at work in terms of just kind of laying out the architecture of the new season. And I think it's going to be great; I'm really excited about it.

Q: Can you tell us a little bit more about Norman and Dylan's relationship… where they stand now? When Dylan first showed up, he was the third wheel. Then we saw them kind of come together, but then once Dylan found out who his father was, he pulled off again. As this season ends and another begins, will we get to see that brotherly relationship between Norman and Dylan again, or will it always be like he's the odd man out?

Freddie Highmore: Think of the last episode again… even just talking about it right now on the phone, you realize how many different things that brought together and how many new directions are suggested from the last episode. And one of them certainly is to what extent Dylan is needed by Norman in Episode 10, and when his brother needs him most, will Dylan kind of flip to one side - whatever issues he has with Norma or with the family in general = and be there to save his brother? So certainly that's again another kind of linking. In this finale… everything just converges - it's wonderful. I remember when… I read it [or when] Carlton and Kerry were sort of pitching it to me… this final idea of how it was all going to end up… it's just fantastic. I was really excited to do it.

Carlton Cuse: I know. I think it's the best episode of the series so far, honestly.

Norman Faces a Test in these Stills from the Bates Motel Season Finale Ep. 2.10 - The Immutable Truth

Q: Carlton, going back to what you said about a blueprint for the third season, do you also have an overall plan for however many seasons "Bates Motel" goes? Do you know how you want to end it?

Carlton Cuse: Yes, Kerry and I have a plan. We're having discussions with A&E and Universal Studios about just how many episodes we're going to do to finish the show. It's definitely a show that has a beginning, middle, and end; and I think we're kind of getting to the point where we need to sort of define that with the studio and the network and kind of figure out exactly how many more total episodes we're going to do, and I'm hoping that we'll be able to work that out. Because we do know where we're going to end… we're planning to start sometime later this fall [on] Season 3…

Q: Freddie, you've done a wonderful job of portraying this very complicated character. What part of Norman would you like to see that maybe hasn't been explored completely these past two seasons?

Freddie Highmore: Something that's sort of hinted at in the finale is the continuation of blurring the boundaries, the kind of definitive boundaries between 'this is Norman' and 'this is Norma.' We've already seen earlier in the season this continuation of… merging between them at times… that is kind of further pushed out in an incredibly dramatic way in the last episode. I'm excited to continue on exploring that if Carlton and Kerry decide to.

Q: I have to ask one more time - Will Norman and Norma reconnect before the end of this season?

Carlton Cuse: Don't spoil it!

Freddie Highmore: I'm [honestly] not sure… even I think one of the great things about the show is that it's never overly conclusive. [They] never sort of shove the conclusion down your throat saying, 'Oh, this is how you must think… this is your take on Norma and Norman's relationship.' And so I imagine and I hope that various people will see the end differently and come out of it with a different opinion from the person sitting next to them. And I think that's what makes the show great…even amongst everyone on the show, there's this sense of constant dialogue and constant discussion as to: Have certain boundaries been crossed? What stage is a certain relationship in? And it's nothing definitive or easily distinguished; it's just more a sense of reality than fiction I guess.

Our thanks to Freddie and Carlton for their time, moderator Perry Seaman, Jaime Yandolino, Universal Television- NBC, and A&E Networks.

Exclusive: Jason Baldwin Talks Visiting the Set of Devil's Knot, the Film's Horror Appeal, and More

Exclusive: Jason Baldwin Talks Visiting the Set of Devil's Knot, the Film's Horror Appeal, and MoreThe men known as the West Memphis Three were convicted as teenagers in 1994 of the heinous murders of three little boys in West Memphis, Arkansas. Jason Baldwin, who’s interviewed here, was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Jessie Misskelley, Jr., received a sentence of life imprisonment plus two 20-year sentences, and the so-called ringleader, Damien Echols, was given the death penalty.

During the trial the prosecution declared that the children were slain as part of a Satanic ritual. A number of documentaries have been based on the case, and celebrities, filmmakers, and musicians have spoken out in the belief that they are innocent. Finally, in 2010, the trio were released after striking an unusual legal deal.

And now, there’s a Hollywood movie, Devil's Knot (review). It’s directed by Atom Egoyan and stars Academy Award winners Colin Firth and Reese Witherspoon.

Dread Central: One wonders… as someone who lived the story, have you watched all the documentaries and TV specials on your case? Which one(s) would you say are the most accurate?

Jason Baldwin: I have watched all the films on the case and recommend them to everyone in their entirety, including Devil's Knot.

Having said that, Paradise Lost is particularly meaningful for me because without it, Damien would likely have been executed and Jessie and I would have spent the rest of our lives in prison. I was actually able to see Paradise Lost not too long after it came out in 1996, and for the first time I was able to see my mom and brothers just feet away from me in the courtroom, reaching out to me and trying to console me. At the time I could not see them because I didn't have glasses. I have always been severely nearsighted and can only see a few feet in front of me with any detail. That is one thing I was able to experience for the first time, as well as my mom's interview with the media, pleading the case for my innocence to anyone who would listen.

Also, Paradise Lost let me see for the first time snippets of Jessie's trial, Damien being interviewed, and all the hurt and fury Pam Hicks and all the families of the boys who were murdered felt at the time.

DC: Were you able to take part in the production of the movie – visit the set and/or meet Atom and the actors? If not, why not? If so, what was it like for you?

JB: During the production and filming of Devil's Knot, my wife, Holly, and I did visit the set and meet many, if not all, of the actors, extras, and everyone else who poured their hearts and souls into bringing this film to life. I now call many of them a friend, including the director, Atom Egoyan, who has imbued this film with so much nuance and integrity.

One thing I will never forget is seeing how everyone treated Pam Hicks with such love and respect. I cannot imagine how horribly difficult the burden of her grief has been; yet, I saw her shoulder it with bravery on the set of Devil's Knot. It could not have been easy for her to be there, but she was because neither she nor anyone else involved with the film want [the victims] Stevie [Edward Branch], Christopher [Byers], or Michael [Moore] to be forgotten.

When I met the young man who played me, Seth Meriwether, I met a kid who was very serious about doing his part and doing it well. At one point he told me this about the scenes where he had to be escorted in and out of the courtroom through the gauntlet of raging spectators: 'Jason, I'm an actor. And all of these people out here are actors. But let me tell you, doing that scene was scary!' All I could do was give the kid a hug and tell him everything would be fine.

Devil's Knot with Seth Meriwether, James Hamrick, and Kristopher Higgins

DC: How do you feel about your story being presented as cinematic “entertainment”? Do you mind that fans of horror movies will be drawn to Devil’s Knot?

JB: I think it is very important for Pam Hicks to know that her son will not be forgotten. This film does that for her. It also says to [whoever] murdered the boys: You may think you've gotten away with murder, but you haven't. Just because the State of Arkansas says the case is closed, the fact remains that there is no statute of limitations for murder. We are not giving up. You will be found.

As far as fans of horror movies being drawn to Devil's Knot, on the night of our arrest, Damien and I were watching a B-grade horror film called Leprechaun, and honestly I still haven't seen the end of that film! But seriously, it is important for us as a people to embrace the fact that, though we all have different tastes and beliefs, we should be able to go home and watch whatever movies we feel drawn to without fear that we'll be punished for it.

The horror community has been incredibly kind to me over the years, I think partially because so many of them relate to being unfairly judged for their movie and music preferences. I'm grateful to have had the chance to meet and thank some of them since my release, as thanking supporters in person has been one of the highlights of my free life. [Ed. Note: For example, Baldwin appeared at this past weekend's Texas Frightmare Weekend.]

I really just appreciate and welcome anyone who wants to see true justice done in this case.

Image Entertainment is releasing Devil's Knot on May 9th.

Synopsis:
From Academy Award nominated director Atom Egoyan (The Sweet Hereafter) and starring Academy Award winner Colin Firth (The King's Speech) and Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line), comes the true story of a crime that would grip a nation for almost two decades and that continues to be one of the most high-profile trials of all time. Based on the bestseller by Mara Leveritt, DEVIL'S KNOT recounts the trial and conviction of teenagers Damien Echols; Jessie Misskelley, Jr.; and Jason Baldwin in the savage murder of three 8-year-old boys in the small town of West Memphis, Arkansas, in 1993.

Dubbed the so-called "West Memphis Three," the defendants, each of them a social outsider, quickly found themselves up against a community crying out for justice as well as a lack of physical evidence that led police to believe the murders were carried out as part of a satanic occult ritual. Firth stars as Ron Lax in the film, a local private investigator and one of the first people to support the teens in their defense. Witherspoon plays Pam Hobbs, the mother of one of the murdered boys. Together, they allow an uncompromising look at both sides of a town that was torn apart… and will probably never be the same again.

The Blood Stream - My Engine's Fragile Sound

$

The Blood Stream - My Engine's Fragile SoundThe Blood Stream mines the Internet for horror gold so you don’t have to, delivering streamable horror titles never before featured on Dread Central. Occasionally I’ll dredge up something good, maybe even great. To find those gems, I’ll have to sift through a lot of breathtakingly bad cinema. Enjoy!

I started this column to unearth diamonds-in-the-rough, movies horror fans might have overlooked. After this week’s selection, My Engine’s Fragile Sound, I realize I am much more likely to provide a different kind of service: warning fans away from so-called horror movies that are not only terrible, they are in fact not horror at all.

My Engine's Fragile Sound

Things kick off with Gabi, a pretty nurse in a hospital burn ward tending to a severely burned pregnant woman in a coma. We’re told the woman is the latest victim of a serial killer who likes to soap up his victims before raping and torching them. Such a gruesome setup simply cannot lead anywhere but a horrific third act, right? WRONGZO.

If it were better, which is to say in any way watchable, this movie might be described as Chekhovian giallo. It has plenty of classic giallo traits: unseen killer of beautiful women, disturbing eroticism, a dogged detective, even a soaring operatic score. But the terrible murders all take place off screen. There are some graphic moments (macro lens shots of a C-section, anyone?), but by and large all the nasty horror stuff takes place before the movie begins.

My Engine's Fragile Sound

So it’s not horror, which makes its marketing a complete lie. (The distributor describes it as, no joke, The Silence of the Lambs meets Se7en. There should be a special tribunal at the Hague for international fraud on that scale.) Worse, it’s just an awful, awful movie.

DO NOT add My Engine's Fragile Sound to your Netflix queue.

After some promising exposition the film devolves into a gloomy, masturbatory slog. Every interesting question is answered to death over the course of scene after pointless scene in which nothing noteworthy happens. Not exaggerating - there is a four-minute tango sequence right in the middle of the movie. FOUR. MINUTES.

The tortuous, meandering busy work that passes for a plot is alleviated only by a grotesque amount of faux poetic voiceovers. Many of these come from an unborn baby, which, um, sure. Whatever.

My Engine's Fragile Sound

The tedious narration is a problem on another level. It’s not entirely the movie’s fault, but when the subtitles can't manage to spell everything correctly or even get all the words in the right order, it’s hard to trust renderings of yammering philosophical monologues. In the translator’s defense, he nails a crucial exchange between Gabi and one of the many dudes she hooks up with. After a little smooch, Gabi asks the lucky guy, “What’s wrong?” To which he replies, “I can taste your vomit.” Me too, dude. Me too.

My Engine's Fragile Sound

By about the halfway point My Engine’s Fragile Sound could have wrapped things up at any time without losing anything of value. Yet, it malingers, refusing to solve the damn mystery until after the third or fourth Keyser Soze moment, when revealing flashbacks and echoes of prior dialogue accompany yet another character fixating on yet another benign detail in a yet another photograph.

Even the ending refuses to die. Instead of a short button scene after the climactic confrontation, we get a string of ham-fisted sepia flashbacks explaining every piece of the killer’s M.O.: photography, fire, blindfolds, targeting cheating spouses, etc. Absolutely nothing is left to the imagination.

My Engine's Fragile Sound

AND THEN. After all that unnecessary nonsense, even after all that, there’s still one more scene. And not just some weird little tag to deliver the twist ending, either. It’s a full-on dramatic dialogue with a weepy reckoning, foreboding revelations, string crescendos and, oh yes, EVEN MORE VOICEOVER.

For the most part the cinematography looks decent and the B-unit stuff is very pretty. But, like every positive in this movie, it’s ruined by the wacko auteur who wrote and directed the thing, Leonardo Antonio. Aiming for avant garde, he succeeds in achieving what is known in technical terms as artsy-fartsy. Excessive shadows, theatrical lighting, lethargic (fully clothed) sex scenes shot in darkness from four incongruous angles capturing a single foot, hand, nostril, etc. And during the few moments of intense action, this master of technique likes to just shake a handheld camera as hard as possible. It felt like having my brain impaled with a vibrator.

My Engine's Fragile Sound

Do not, under any circumstances, watch this garbage. If you meet this director, please tell him to stop making movies. Or at least stick to short films, which for him are probably 90 to 100 minutes.

Instead, just re-watch Silence of the Lambs.

You're welcome.

Concept Sculpt Shows Off Unused Creature from the Black Lagoon Remake Design

Concept Sculpt Shows Off Unused Creature from the Black Lagoon Remake DesignIf we've learned anything from reporting the latest news here at Dread Central over the years, it's that Hollywood is a fickle place where ideas come and go, and many planned and proposed films find themselves in the dreaded development hell.

One of those doomed projects is a remake of The Creature from the Black Lagoon, which has been in the works for several decades with various different writers and directors attached.

Though we've got nothing new to report with regard to the creature's return to the big screen, the folks over at Shock Till You Drop posted an interesting concept sculpture earlier today, which gives us a glimpse at what the titular character would've looked like had one of those failed attempts to remake the classic film gotten off the ground.

The sculpture was spotted at Burbank, California's, Creature Features FX shop, and though there's no way of knowing for sure which of the many proposed remakes this design was going to be used in, the site speculates that this was likely the creature we would've seen in director Breck Eisner's version, which was in the works back in 2005.

Check out the sculpture below, and let us know what you think.

Last we heard, Universal had hired Dave Kajganich to write a Creature from the Black Lagoon reboot, simply titled The Black Lagoon, though that project appears to have suffered the same fate as the many attempts that have come before it.

Will the creature ever again emerge from the black lagoon? Your guess is as good as ours!

Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt Ready for Battle in New Edge of Tomorrow PostersIt's quite fitting that the word "repeat" is so prominently featured on all the Edge of Tomorrow posters that we've seen thus far because each new one looks pretty much exactly the same as the last. In any event, new art is new art, and it's our job to share it with you!

The Warner Bros. Pictures/Village Roadshow Pictures sci-fi thriller is directed by Doug Liman and stars Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, Jeremy Piven, Jonas Armstrong, Tony Way, Kick Gurry, Franz Drameh, Dragomir Mrsic, Charlotte Riley, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.

The screenplay was written by Dante Harper, Christopher McQuarrie, and Joby Harold.

Look for the film in theatres on June 6, 2014.

Synopsis
The epic action of Edge of Tomorrow unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world. Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to little more than a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again… and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

NBC Releases New Key Art, Stills, and Promo for Rosemary's BabyStill on the fence about tuning in for NBC's two-part "Rosemary's Baby" adaptation when it debuts next week? Maybe these new stills, promo teaser, and artwork will help you decide. Check it all out right here!

“Rosemary’s Baby,” the four-hour adaptation of the 1967 best-selling suspense novel by Ira Levin, will air on NBC Sunday, May 11th, and Thursday, May 15th. The telecast will air each night from 9-11 p.m. ET/PT.

“Rosemary’s Baby” centers on a young married couple who move into a Paris apartment that has a haunted past. After getting pregnant, the wife becomes increasingly suspicious that both her husband and their neighbors will have ulterior motives when her child is born.

The miniseries, from Lionsgate Television, stars Zoe Saldana, Patrick J. Adams, Jason Isaacs, and Carole Bouquet. The psychological thriller was written by Scott Abbott (Queen of the Damned) and James Wong (Final Destination 3, “American Horror Story,” “The X-Files”) and directed by Agnieszka Holland (Europa Europa, “The Wire,” “Treme”).

"ROSEMARY'S BABY - NIGHT ONE" (5/11/14, 9-11PM)
After a personal tragedy leaves Rosemary (Zoe Saldana) and Guy (Patrick J. Adams) Woodhouse anxious for a fresh start, the young married couple depart for Paris, where Guy has landed a job teaching at The Sorbonne. Upon their arrival, a series of unfortunate events occur, and soon Rosemary and Guy are presented with an offer they can’t refuse: an apartment with the most prestigious address in the city. They find comfort in this strange city among their new friends and neighbors, Roman (Jason Isaacs) and Margaux (Carole Bouquet) Castevet, but soon find the apartment comes with a haunted past. This well-to-do, successful older couple take the newcomers under their wings and become very involved with the Woodhouses’ lives. Meanwhile, Rosemary spends some quality time with her dear friend Julie (Christine Cole), learning how to cook at Le Cordon Bleu. Everything seems wonderful as the couple decide to try to conceive a baby.

"ROSEMARY'S BABY - NIGHT TWO" (5/15/14, 9-11PM)
In this two-hour conclusion, Rosemary’s (Zoe Saldana) health rapidly declines with her pregnancy while Guy’s (Patrick J. Adams) career takes off with the successful completion of his book. At the same time Roman (Jason Isaacs) and Margaux (Carole Bouquet) each take a peculiar and very intimate interest in the young couple. Untimely and gruesome deaths seem prevalent, and we soon learn why. As Rosemary’s due date approaches, the truth about her baby becomes clear, and everyone’s true colors come to light.

Teaser Trailer Takes You Into The ShelterAfter wrapping production back in January, John Fallon's The Shelter is headed off to the festival circuit later this year, and on tap for you today is the film's official teaser trailer, which give us our first sneak peek at the housebound horrors that await. Dig it!

From the Press Release
John Fallon’s feature length directorial debut, “The Shelter”, has released its first teaser trailer on the JoBlo Movie Network YouTube Channel.

The film is a supernatural thriller based on Fallon’s own screenplay and stars Michael Paré (“Streets of Fire”).

Fallon discusses the teaser’s release: “Although Holbrook Multi-Media and I are still in the early stages of post-production at the moment, assembling our first rough cut, we wanted to whip up this teaser trailer for all of our supporters out there, cast and crew and to provide a taste of the picture to potentials buyers at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. We are looking forward to covering the festival circuit once we’re done and bringing the finished film to the 2014 American Film Market in November 2014.”

The film will be represented at this year’s Cannes Film market by DC MEDIAS.

Editor Bobby Holbrook 2 explains his thoughts behind the teaser: “The feel for the film as well as the teaser is to give it a 1970's horror vibe. So we kept to that approach with the cutting, coloring and the music composition of this teaser trailer. We’re mixing new and old techniques to create something really different and effective."

Synopsis: On a star filled night, widower and homeless man Thomas Jacobs (Michael Paré) finds shelter for the night when he falls upon a vast two story house with the lights on and an inviting open front door. He strolls on in thinking he just caught a lucky break and for a while, it would appear as though he did. But soon enough, he realizes that the house won’t let him leave, as its doors are all locked while its windows cannot be opened or broken. Destiny has brought Thomas to this place. What does it want from him? Will he survive the ordeal?

The film stars Michael Paré, Gayle James, Rachel Whittle, Lauren Thomas, Anastasia Brooke, Thomas Johnston and Amy Wickenheiser. It is produced by Donny Broussard and John Fallon, with Null Effects handling the VFX and Shawn Knippelberg composing the film’s music.

The film is co-financed by Bruise Productions and JoBlo Movie Productions.

For more keep it locked on the official The Shelter Facebook page.
