Evil Dead's Hal Delrich Returns for a Grindhouse Creature Triple FeatureIndie Filmmaker Ryan Meade is becoming quite prolific as of late with several projects on their way and right now we have a look at another one which sees the acting return of a very familiar face from one of the genre's most beloved faces.

Ryan Meade's Grindhouse Anthology aka Creature Triple Feature stars Tom Sullivan, Hal Delrich, Terence Cover, Evan Milka and more.

Three short films make up the collection: "Cosmos Locos,""Frankenstein's Fatal Flying Guillotine," and "Bong Fly," and each was produced, written, directed, shot, scored and edited by Ryan Meade.

"Cosmos Locos" stars Tom Sullivan, in an action adventure comedy that takes place in a comic book shop. "Frankensteins Fatal Flying Guillotine" stars Terence Cover from "Cosmos Locos", features Frankenstein's monster on a quest to get his bride back from Dracula Grindhouse style.
"Bong Fly" stars Hal Delrich (Evil Dead, Crimewave). In the flick Delrich reprises his role as Officer (now detective) Garvey from Crimewave. This marks Delrich's first acting role in 30 years.

CW To Keep Picking At Supernatural's Bones With Another Spin-Off Attempt

Preview of Supernatural Episode 9.22 - Stairway to HeavenNo, "Supernatural" isn't dead yet. It just feels like it. As the show limps toward yet another rote and unsatisfying conclusion (three in a row, for those keeping track), the CW had decided to try its hand at the whole spin-off thing yet again. Because it worked out so well three episodes ago.

Deadline is reporting that the CW is determined to make another "Supernatural" spin-off next year. The announcement comes less than a week after the network wised up and decided to kill the miserable "Supernatural: Bloodlines" project where it stood. CW chief Mark Pedowitz admitted that the spin-off endeavor “just didn’t get there” this season.

"Not getting there" is a bit of an understatement for one of the worst hours of television ever produced. "Bloodlines" had none of the grit that defined "Supernatural" throughout its formative years, instead delivering flaccid and high-gloss bullshit intrinsic of other CW properties. And that ending...where Sam and Dean stand idle and allow someone to commit cold-blooded murder without objection...to call it appalling is an understatement.

The bigger problem is that the show runners seem tired. Or bored. The show is without direction, producing miserable story arcs that feel made up on the fly and without any kind of resonating payoff. I've watched the last three seasons out of obligation, hoping that the show would find its footing again, but everything after the sixth season (one year longer than it was supposed to run) has been lazy and forgettable. The earlier seasons had show-defining atmosphere and shockingly strong writing. It's all a distant memory now.

"Supernatural" is on life support, CW. Let it go quietly into the light. Because we're beginning to feel a lot like Adam Winchester.

A Wife Alone Finds Revenge

A Wife Alone Finds RevengeHell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Don't get me wrong... guys can be hellish too, but anyone who has ever had a run-in with a vengeful loony with a vagina can attest to this fact. Case in point: the latest "devilish noir" flick to head our way, A Wife Alone.

The film will be available through major cable/satellite and On Demand enabled platforms across the United States on June 10th.

From the Press Release
A feature film by Justin Reichman, A WIFE ALONE is a dark psychological thriller about an ill-fated marriage in the suburbs of upstate New York. The plot centers around Jane, an attractive young bride who marries a naive investment banker named Park, desperate to marry before his 30th birthday.

The young, ostensibly happy couple buys a quaint house in a nice neighborhood and settles into the suburban dream before a visit to Park's godparents, Steve and Holly, sends their idyllic existence into a desperate tailspin. Park's godfather and mentor, Steve, is a cruel and domineering man with a penchant for illegitimate business deals and expensive prostitutes. He lords over his wife, colleagues, and anyone in his path with a single-minded goal of satisfying his deep-seated, ego-maniacal urges. Steve immediately recognizes Jane as a woman he once "met in a hotel," and his own inner conflict swirls. As the fateful night unfolds, it is revealed that Jane's presence in the house was not some bizarre, unfortunate coincidence but rather a carefully orchestrated plot of revenge and corruption that builds to a ruthless climax.

A WIFE ALONE is written and directed by Justin Reichman and co-written by Pete Freidman. Starring Genevieve Hudson-Price (FREEDOMLAND), Ashley Springer (THE WOLF OF WALL STREET), Sean Patrick Reilly (SLEEPERS), Catherine Curtin ("Orange Is The New Black"), Alesandra Assante (HOUSE OF DUST), and Mark Blum (DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN.) Produced by Roy Wol, Ben Chace, Justin Reichman, and Pete Friedman. Executive produced by Jason Orans, Richard Reichman, and Henry Kasdon with co-executive production by Sean Lamb. Edited by Ben Chace and music by Bob Pycior.

Event Report: Texas Frightmare Weekend 2014

$

Event Report: Texas Frightmare Weekend 2014Frightmare! The premier horror convention in the Southwest has come again, and it was a riot. Well, not literally. Thankfully, massive improvements were made this year with line management of the more popular guests and parking so even when things were hot and heavy on Saturday, we never reached the critical mass found last year.

The movie and television guests were a literal who's who of icons throughout the years. The three guests of honor, Linda Blair, George A Romero, and Tobin Bell, were all busy with fans at their tables all weekend. I heard that Bell went till 1am signing on Saturday to make sure everyone was taken card of.

Having tables set up near empty walls for attendees to line up against and usage of tickets when lines got too long were big improvements. With the three guests of honor and other fan favorites such as Scott Wilson and Chandler Riggs ("The Walking Dead"), this line management allowed for attendees to still move around the con floor even on Saturday.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of The Terminator, and a list of actors and actresses from throughout the Terminator franchise were on deck to celebrate the occasion. A Q&A panel was held with all the guests, and it was like a reunion of old friends. Peter Kent, who performed the stunts for Arnold Schwarzenegger for not only the T-800 but many of his other most iconic roles as well, told stories of some of his craziest stunts on the Terminator movies and hilarious interactions with Arnold on set. Robert Patrick gave the attendees an inside scoop on not only how he got the role, but also the various methods that he used to get into the role of the T-1000, such as mimicking natural predators like eagles and preying mantises. Earl Boen, who played Dr. Peter Silberman in the first three Terminator films, provided his perspective on technology after his time working on the movies. The original film's protagonists, Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn, gave stories throughout their time with the franchise starting with when they first got their roles to what it is like looking back on the franchise and seeing other people play the same character.

Doug Bradley, Nicholas Vince, and Barbie Wilde, three of the original Cenobytes, did a Q&A panel entitled “Cenobite Me.” All three of them were an absolute delight, telling stories of being in the make-up chair, interactions with fans, and their favorite lines or scenes from the films. Rather than being like three co-workers on the stage, it was like three old friends getting together to hang out and tell stories. The biggest thing that all three of them made abundantly clear was their love and gratitude for all the fans of Hellraiser. Once the inevitable question was asked about the rumors of a Hellraiser remake, Doug Bradley replied, "Why remake it, when it is already what the fans are happy with?"

The panel “Get Up and Kill” was held for George A. Romero and two cast members of Dawn of the Dead, David Emge and Scott Reiniger. The two actors told their stories of how they first met Mr. Romero. Reiniger said that multiple times when working on the film or reading the script for the first time, he had the immediate reaction of, “That's gross!” George A. Romero made several comments to how he did not see himself as the “legend” that so many of the fans call him. Even when people made claims that his choice of Duane Jones in Night of the Living Dead was a political statement, George Romero confirmed that he picked the actor just because he was the best person for the role.

A big part of any Frightmare weekend is the movie screenings, and this year they teamed with the legendary Alamo Drafthouse to screen a series of films related to the weekend at the Drafthouse, and then folks from the Drafthouse moderated several of the panels at the con and officially 'presented' the film screenings.

I wish they'd enforce 'Alamo rules' at the screenings because I had to attempt to shut up drunken talkers at both screenings I attended in the big Enterprise room. Seriously, people, if you're in a film, SHUT UP. God bless the Alamo for their 'talk and we throw you out' policy. I'd love to see it at the con.

That said, this year saw several world or American premieres such as Circus of the Dead (review), Gun Woman (review), Pick Axe Murders III: The Final Chapter, Zombie TV, SX_ Tape (review), and several short films. IFC Midnight also screened several of their films - Beneath, The Den, and Witching and Bitching.

At midnight of the second day of the weekend, the local troop Amber Does Dallas performed a shadowcast of Repo: the Genetic Opera. The first surprise of the evening was an appearance and impromptu Q&A with Pavi Largo himself, Nivek Ogre, giving the fans a brief look into his personal experience with the film's production and his appreciation for the fans' devotion to the film. For those not familiar, a 'shadowcast' is when actors and performers act out a film in front of the screen, miming what's happening on screen. Invented/perfected in Rocky Horror theaters around the world, Repo has now become a common shadowcast target, and Amber Does Dallas is one of the best in the world. The shadowcast of the movie itself was phenomenally done with fantastic performances all around. The MC and more experienced audience members made the show an absolute riot with funny one-liners being thrown out left and right with excellent timing.

A big change this year was the inclusion of rock stars alongside horror stars. I'm not sure about this addition, as some were strange fits, but the crowds dug it so I'm not going to naysay the addition. Dee Snider showed up and signed all weekend as well as hosted a panel discussion. Other rock luminaries present included Corey 'Slipknot' Taylor, Twiggy Ramirez, Ace Frehley, and a brief appearance on Saturday of Ghost BC on their way to a nearly sold out show at the House of Blues.

The weekend's entertainment was rounded up by a massive party on Friday hosted by Amelia Kinkade of Night of the Demons fame, with Twiggy Ramirez doing a guest DJ set as well as the traditional Scaryoke on Saturday.

As always, the Hyatt DFW did an amazing job hosting things, going way outside the call of duty to make us horror freaks feel welcome. Because of the musical guests, this year saw the addition of a sound system in the lobby playing dark metal like Slayer, Slipknot, Disturbed, and Rob Zombie all weekend. Not something you usually hear in the lobby of a high-end hotel.

The weekend went off without a hitch, and it seemed like the thousands of attendees had a blast. Founder Loyd Cryer continues to up the ante with Frightmare, and new primary sponsor Fangoria provided a seamless transition from the previous sponsor, Rue Morgue. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: This is THE horror con in the US. The way it's organized, the activities available, everything about it places it head and shoulders above the rest.

Next year come down to Texas and let us show you how it's done. Texas Frightmare Weekend 2015 is already planned for the Hyatt so make your plans and join the mayhem!

Box Office: Just How Much Destruction Can Godzilla Do?

Latest Godzilla TV Spot Is Hiding SomethingIt's a given that Godzilla is going to be a big moneymaker this weekend, but just how well will it do? Fandango seems to think that Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have a blockbuster on their hands.

According to Fandango, Godzilla is grabbing 80% of ticket sales already, topping the site's Fanticipation buzz meter with absolute ease, raking in 94 out of 100 points. What's more, the film is outselling Thor: The Dark World, World War Z, Prometheus, and Pacific Rim at the same point in the site's advance sales cycle. It currently represents more than 80% of this weekend’s ticket sales on Fandango.

“The fans appreciate the more serious tone of the movie, following the lead of the original film from 60 years ago,” says Fandango Fangirl Tiffany Smith, “and the slow roll-out of the monster has been epic. We’ve had only a few peeks at what the new Godzilla really looks like – and that’s definitely created a great build-up and anticipation from fans who cannot wait to see ‘Big G’ return to the big screen in all his glory.”

Fandango also talked to Cranston about his, er, challenges with the film.

There ya have it, kids. See you on the other side.

Surprise! Jurassic World May Lead To More Sequels

A Dozen Jurassic World Images Land OnlineIn today's most obvious news, the upcoming Jurassic World may be more than just another sequel to Steven Spielberg's 1993 classic. Did someone say sequel(s)?

During a talk with IGN, Jurassic World producer Thomas Tull talked about the possibility of additional installments in the franchise.

“The ideas and script that they came up with, and story, are spectacular, so we may spend more than one piece in there.”

Color us shocked. Tull also had plenty to say about working with the film's executive producers, Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall.

“I am very humbled and fortunate to call Steven a friend, and I joke with him that he practically raised me.” It is perhaps unsurprising to hear Tull continue, “It’s surreal in a way. Jurassic Park is one of my favourite movies. Colin was a fantastic choice – I loved his last movie [Safety Not Guaranteed]. Working with Steven and Frank Marshall – it’s a privilege.”

There ya have it. At least they started shooting with an actual script in hand this time (looking at you, Jurassic Part III).

Writer Ed Brubaker Refuses To Remain Silent About The Maniac Cop Remake

$

0

Maniac Cop Remake Back on Track; Director to Be Announced at CannesNever one to hate all remakes equally, I'm quite excited about the Maniac Cop redo. With original trilogy director William Lustig producing and Only God Forgives director Nic Winding Refn also sitting behind-the-scenes, it's hard to cast a cynical eye on the project.

I was happy last week when it was announced that comic writer Ed Brubaker ("Criminal", "Captain America") would pen Matt Cordell's latest adventure. While we wait for the director to be announced at Cannes, Brubaker sat down with Fangoria to talk a little bit more about the new Maniac Cop.

I wrote a lot of drafts. There’s definitely some intentional humor here and there that’s really dark. I think how it’s shot and the sound design is going to be so important to how scary it is or isn’t. And you know, the director that signed on is really amazing, so I’m really psyched. Like me, he’s really a fan of the 70s and 80s horror movies, like the John Carpenter stuff. I hope it feels somewhat modern, but also feels like a throwback to that era that it was the stepchild of, initially. It was an interesting job.

Purist fans of the original movies will be happy to know that even Larry Cohen had some input in the script.

Definitely when I started talking to Refn, I didn’t expect that he was going to offer me a monster movie. So, it was definitely not what I was expecting, but then I realized that I fucking love movies like that, so why not try one and then bring whatever my voice actually is into it. It was a big collaborative process. I worked with Nic and Bill Lustig for a while throwing out lines and ideas and stuff. Then for the last six-eight months I’ve been working on it steadily and having weekly Skype sessions with Refn about the drafts. It was pretty collaborative process. At one point, we even got a bunch of ideas from Larry Cohen. It was a really fun job and a great learning experience for screenwriting. I jokingly told Refn that I went through screenwriting bootcamp with him. I’d been doing it for a couple years and thought I knew the ropes, but now I know that getting a feature ready for production is a fuck-ton of work.

Considering Brubaker's body of work, along with the collaborative process for this remake, I have a hard time finding anything negative to say about it. Now who will they hire to compose a new version of the Maniac Cop Rap?

The Weinsteins Find Out What Happens When Animals DreamWe've had our eye on When Animals Dream for a few months now. The film will eventually see a stateside release through Radius/The Weinstein Company, but today we bring you an international trailer for director Jonas Alexander Arnby's werewolf flick.

Bloody Disgusting got tipped off to this trailer's existence, so go ahead and check it below.

Repped by French major Gaumont, the visually stunning genre pic was also acquired by Madman for Australia, Altitude Film for the UK, Prokino for Germany, and Odeon for Greece during the currently running European Film Market.

“It’s extremely hard these days to find a groundbreaking genre film, but When Animals Dream is that rare gem indeed. I haven’t been excited in Berlin since buying Let the Right One In,” said Tom Quinn, president of Radius-TWC.

I’m so excited to see the ‘Wolf Pack’ back and be a part of it,” said Gaget, adding that she sold the US remake rights to Nicolas Winding Refn’s Pusher to Radius-TWC shortly after its launch two years ago.

Sonia Suhl, Lars Mikkelsen, Sonja Richter, and Jakob Oftebro star.

Killogy Animated Series Pits Murderers Against A Voodoo Curse

Killogy Animated Series Pits Murderers Against A Voodoo CurseSometimes it doesn't take much to sell me on a premise. Killogy is one of those, where the notion of three over-the-top criminals squaring off against voodoo magic is too good to resist.

You may already be familiar with Killogy, an IDW comic by Alan Roberts that mixes horror and comedy into a concoction of splatstick madness. Featuring the likenesses of Frank Vincent (Goodfellas, "The Sopranos"), Marky Ramone (formerly of The Ramones) and Brea Grant ("Dexter"), it seems like a no-brainer that this could translate quite easily into some kind of show or movie.

Enter "The Boondocks" creator Rodney Barnes, who will do exactly that. Deadline reports that both Barnes and Roberts will serve as executive producers on a Killogy animated series, which will see Vincent, Ramone and Grant lending their vocal talents to the proceedings.

Killogy will be produced by Chris White (My Super Psycho Sweet 16) and Jeff Mazzola, and Barnes will write the pilot.

Watch for more on this as it develops.

Nicolas Cage Is Going To Pay The Ghost

Nicolas Cage Checks into Hotel 33It's good to see Nicolas Cage getting back to some honest to goodness acting once again with recent roles like Joe and The Frozen Ground. Today's news has potential to deliver as well, as Cage has signed on to Pay the Ghost, a supernatural thriller about a father searching for his missing son.

According to Variety, Cage plays an NYU English professor striving toward tenure when his son disappears during a Halloween day parade. Dan Kay (Timber Falls) is handling script duties as he adapts Tim Lebbon's short story of the same name.

Kay developed the script with Midnight Kitchen Productions' Ian Levy, which was then acquired by Voltage Films.

The most surprising thing about this story is that Uli Edel is still directing. I haven't seen his name attached to anything since the early 90s when the director helmed the Madonna thriller Body of Evidence and a season two episode of "Twin Peaks." Turns out he's been plenty busy in that interim.

More soon.

THE MESSENGERS" (CBS Television Studios and Thunder Road)
Writer: Eoghan O'Donnell; Producers: Basil Iwanyk, Eoghan O'Donnell, Kent Kubena, Ava Jamshidi

In the white-hot sun of the New Mexico desert, scientist Vera Ivanov watches in fascination as a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash, sending out a shock wave that briefly stops her heart. But Vera is not the only one affected by the blast: she is instantly and mysteriously connected to four other strangers, who also collapse only to miraculously come back to life hours later. Erin, a young mother desperate to protect her 7-year-old daughter from an abusive ex-husband; Peter, a troubled high school student who finally lashes out to end the constant bullying he can no longer endure; Raul, a federal agent looking to escape his undercover assignment in a violent Mexican drug cartel; and Joshua, Jr., a charismatic second-generation televangelist following in his father’s footsteps – all awaken after the pulse with powers they can barely believe, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others.

Most mysterious of all is the figure known only as The Man, who offers Vera the one thing she wants most in life – to be reunited with her kidnapped son – if she will help him with one morally complicated task. That task puts Vera on a collision course with nurse Rose Arvale who, after a seemingly random act of violence left her in a coma for seven years, suddenly begins to stir. As Joshua, Jr. prophesizes, the wheels of Revelation have begun to turn, and this group of strangers might be the only hope for preventing the impending Rapture…or causing it.

The series stars Shantel VanSanten (“Gang Related,” “One Tree Hill”) as Vera, Jon Fletcher (“City of Dreams”) as Joshua Jr., Sofia Black-D’Elia (“Betrayal,” “Gossip Girl”) as Erin, JD Pardo (“Revolution”) as Raul, Joel Courtney (“Super 8”) as Peter, Anna Diop (“Everybody Hates Chris”) as Rose and Diogo Morgado (“Son of God,” “Sol de Inverno”) as The Man. THE MESSENGERS is produced by CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Entertainment, in association with Thunder Road Pictures with executive producers Trey Callaway (“Revolution,” “CSI: NY”), Basil Iwanyk (“The Town,” “The Expendables” film franchise, “Clash of the Titans” film franchise) and co-executive producers Eoghan O’Donnell (“Teen Wolf”), Kent Kubena (the upcoming “Gods of Egypt,” “Turistas”) and Ava Jamshidi. The pilot was directed by Stephen Williams (“Lost”).

"iZOMBIE" (Rob Thomas Productions, Warner Bros. Television)
Writer: Rob Thomas, Diane Ruggiero; Producers: Rob Thomas, Diane Ruggiero, Danielle Stokdyk, Dan Etheridge

Olivia “Liv” Moore was a rosy-cheeked, disciplined, over-achieving medical resident who had her life path completely mapped out…until the night she attended a party that unexpectedly turned into a zombie feeding frenzy. As one of the newly undead, Liv is doing her best to blend in and look as human as possible. Her appearance now passes for “Goth,” with shockingly pale skin and nearly white hair, and her demeanor has gone from exuberant to exhausted. The change in Liv is baffling to her mother, her former fiancé, Major, and her best friend and roommate, Peyton, who still has the high-energy, Type-A personality that Liv has completely abandoned. Despite her post-traumatic ennui, Liv has devised a way to resist her baser urges to devour fresh human brains – she’s taken a job in the Seattle coroner’s office.

In this appropriately dead-end job, Liv can secretly snack on the brains of the many Jane and John Doe corpses that make a final stop in the morgue. Despite carefully covering her tracks, Liv’s boss, Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, discovers her secret and is surprisingly excited about the scientific possibilities. Even with her boss’ enthusiasm, Liv remains resigned to an eternity without hope or purpose, until she realizes that with every brain she consumes, she retains a portion of that person’s memories. Liv begins to experience visions from the point of view of the murder victims. Much to the surprise of Dr. Ravi and homicide detective Clive Babineaux, Liv often has detailed knowledge of crime scenes and motives that she can’t easily explain. Posing as a psychic, she works with Detective Babineaux to investigate these crimes and discover who is responsible. It’s not the same as being alive again, but at least Liv can find purpose in her undead existence by helping Clive solve the murders of those who are indeed fully dead.

The series stars Rose McIver (“Masters of Sex,” “Once Upon a Time”) as Liv, Malcolm Goodwin (“Breakout Kings”) as Clive Babineaux, newcomer Rahul Kohli as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, Robert Buckley (“One Tree Hill”) as Major Lilywhite, Alexandra Krosney (“Last Man Standing”) as Peyton Charles, David Anders (“Once Upon a Time,” “The Vampire Diaries”) as Blaine DeBeers and Nora Dunn (“Entourage,” “Saturday Night Live”) as Eva Moore. Based upon characters created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, and published by DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint, iZOMBIE is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Spondoolie Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Rob Thomas (“Veronica Mars,” “Party Down,” “Cupid”), Diane Ruggiero-Wright (“Veronica Mars,” “The Ex List,” “That’s Life”), Danielle Stokdyk (“Veronica Mars,” “Party Down,” “Cupid”) and Dan Etheridge (“The Carrie Diaries,” “Veronica Mars,” “Party Down”). The pilot was directed by Rob Thomas.

Halle Berry Takes The Lead In Kidnap

The Call Placed to The Hive Moved CarrieKidnapped children has proven to be a popular subgenre, hasn't it? We've already reported today on a Nic Cage thriller where he'll play a desperate father hunting for his disappeared son, and now Halle Berry will star in Kidnap, a thriller about a mother's struggle to find her abducted child.

Kidnap comes from director Luis Prieto (Pusher) and producers Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Erik Howsam.

Kidnap is an action thriller that follows a mother (Berry) who will stop at nothing to rescue her kidnapped son. Not a terribly original premise, but it's hard to judge a movie like this from its logline. Prieto is a good director and Berry usually works well in these types of roles.

Knate Gwaltney penned the script, an odd choice considering his most well known credits are Jackass 3D and Bad Grandpa. It actually makes me more curious to see how this one winds up working out.

No other details are known at this time, but I'll be keeping this one in my peripheral.

Cannes Summer Camp Poster Hits The Web

Andres Velencoso, Summer CampWe got a look at some Cannes-specific sales art for for Alberto Marini's new flick Summer Camp today. The movie shot earlier this year and looks to be readying its release. C'mon and dig it.

Thanks to Hitfix for scoring a look and posting this one.

Summer Camp marks the directorial debut of Marini and was executive produced by [REC] franchise director Jaume Balaguero.

We still don't have a whole lot around this movie aside from a vague concept. Summer Camp centers on three American camp counselors who show up for their summer jobs at an English-language camp in Spain and come face-to-face with a virus unlike anything seen before.

Maybe it's a good thing that there's still some secrecy here. It sounds like it could be a lot of fun. Look for more on this one soon!

Synopsis

This peculiarity has led her to conduct studies specializing in the psychophysiology of dreams and to follow a therapy with Sean, her mentor and boyfriend, to try and understand the origins of her nightmares. Following the death of her maternal grandmother, whom she scarcely knew, Jessica must return reluctantly to the family home.

Upon her arrival, she discovers that her late grandmother is resting in the adjoining room to her own during the wake. After a rough first night made restless by a strange nightmare in which she meets her dead grandmother, Jessica suddenly becomes ill. Stuck in her bed with a high fever, the young woman decides to use her lethargic state to experience lucid dreams and thus to try and take control of her nightmares. Henceforth, on the advice of Sean, Jessica needs to breathe a little bit of ether when a crisis arises to sink deeper into the other world.
