Scott Spiegel has had his hands in many different cookie jars throughout his unique career, most notably serving as the co-writer of Evil Dead 2. Up next he's putting on his producer hat and sending us all straight to Hell.

Some quick casting news has arrived for Welcome to Purgatory as Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Jillian Murray (pictured; The Graves, Cabin Fever: Patient Zero), Nathan Jones, Jack O’Halloran, Tony Cook, Tory Kittles and Stephen Marcus are set to appear in the film directed by Gene Fallaize.

According to the IMDb, a sequel, Welcome to Purgatory II: The Journey to Hell, is already planned with Fallaize back at the helm.

In just two weeks "Under the Dome" returns to CBS, and to help get you ready, CBS has released a new behind-the-scenes video in which the cast and crew remind us where we left off last season as we look forward to Season 2.

The June 30th premiere episode was written by bestselling author and executive producer Stephen King, who also makes a cameo appearance, and was filmed on location in Wilmington, N.C.

“I’m thrilled to offer fans new and old an even bigger, more interactive experience this time around. It's great to see fans of the comic book and television series live in the world I created so many years ago,” says Robert Kirkman, creator and executive producer of The Walking Dead.

The course, which has already thrilled tens of thousands of participants since its debut, allows fans to participate as “Walkers" or “Survivors" as they climb, crawl, and slide their way through various zombie- infected evacuation zones. Those lucky enough to make it to the decontamination zone will have their level of infection assessed and then participate in the event’s Fan Experience.

Those participating as Walkers will be transformed into the undead by professional makeup artists, and they'll receive “zombie training” prior to their release on the course. Keeping in the spirit of entertainment and accessibility to all, The Walking Dead Escape is not a race, and its participants will not be timed or required to run.

Slasher'.

Former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo has joined Amen for their new album and tour.

The classic line-up of At the Gates are gearing up to enter the studio to record their new album, At War With Reality. It's due out on the fall via Century Media Records.

IFC Midnight's latest acquisition, Joe Begos' stellar new flick Almost Human (review), has arrived on Blu-ray and DVD; and we have a look at an exclusive clip from the special features of this must-see flick! Dig it!

Almost Human Release Details
Aliens, sex, alien sex, and other gruesome goings-on are the can't-miss ingredients for chilling fun in the truly out-there shocker ALMOST HUMAN. The IFC Films theatrical release arrives on fully packed Blu-ray/DVD from IFC Midnight/MPI Media Group on June 17 with SRPs, respectively, of $29.98 and $24.98.

Two years ago, Mark Fisher (Josh Ethier; Contracted, Scavengers) disappeared from his home in rural Maine in a brilliant flash of otherworldly blue light. His friend Seth Hampton (Graham Skipper; Dementia) was the last to see him alive. Now, Seth is having disturbing premonitions that Mark has returned as something other than human. When grisly, violent murders start taking place in the community, Seth and his girlfriend, Jen Craven (Vanessa Leigh; The Last Halloween), discover that Mark is indeed back, and there is something terribly evil inside of him.

Debuting director Joe Begos' unbearably tense ALMOST HUMAN is a chilling, frenetic, and brutal story of survival in the face of unknown terror. The release comes packed with special features on Blu-ray and DVD, including commentaries, a full-length making-of feature, a look behind the scenes, and theatrical trailer.

I really don't remember a time when there wasn't talk of a sequel to the Chiodo Brothers'Killer Klowns from Outer Space. But let's face it... it's probably never going to happen. A TV show, however... well, that's a different story altogether!

According to our own John Squires at iHorror, who sat down recently with Charles Chiodo, there is no sequel planned for 2016, thus debunking some nagging rumors. In the end MGM didn't feel there's enough fan interest to warrant funding a sequel so until they get moving or change their minds, we hopefuls are dead in the water.

Chiodo did go on to say that he and his brothers would be interested in turning Killer Klowns into a TV series, but there's nothing official on that front either. If MGM doesn't do anything with the franchise, the Chiodos are considering "making a totally original scary clown movie, which would have nothing to do with the film we all know and love."

Synopsis
A gang of psychotic convicts take a dangerous and ill-advised detour after brutally kidnapping two young girls. As the captors speed away, events quickly turn out to be much more dangerous and gruesome than they had planned for. While driving down a long and dark stretch of deserted highway, the car becomes surrounded by mysterious sinister spirits, forcing the captors and young girls to work together in hopes of surviving the deadly evil force.
