April Mullen's Dead Before Dawn 3D will be hitting VOD on August 2nd from Wango Films and Gaiam Vivendi Entertainment, and for you anxious Canucks out there, the film will also be released in 3D in Canadian theaters on the same date and then in select theaters in the US on September 6th.

Dead Before Dawn 3D, the third feature film from April Mullen and Tim Doiron’s production company WANGO Films, will be available on Video On Demand and digital HD beginning August 2 in the U.S. and Canada. The film will also be released in theaters in 3D across Canada on August 2 and select theaters across the U.S. on September 6.

If your name is Sandra Bullock, stop reading now. Michelle "Bombshell" McGee, the tattooed beauty who blasted into the public eye for being the other woman in the Bullock-Jesse James divorce, will be starring in a new film compiling and chronicling the Nazi sub-genre of exploitation films.

Entitled Nazithon: Decadence and Destruction, the film pairs McGee with gay rugby icon Ian Roberts as they bring you the best and worst of this fringe sub-genre. Supernatural drama series "Lost Girl" has begun production on its fourth season in Toronto. The 13 all-new episodes will premiere on Syfy in early 2014, with George Takei (Star Trek) and Ali Liebert ("Harper's Island") among the guest stars appearing in Season 4.

WGN America has ordered its first original scripted series, a drama titled "Salem" from Brannon Braga ("24,""Star Trek: TNG,""Terra Nova") and Adam Simon (The Haunting in Connecticut), which will go straight to series with 13 episodes.

Per THR, "Salem" is set in the volatile world of 17th century Massachusetts and explores what really fueled the town's infamous witch trials. The series will look to uncover the dark, supernatural truth hiding behind the veil of this infamous period in American history. The witches featured are real, but they are not who or what they seem. What’s more, the drama, which centers on an epic romance wrapped around this explosive revelation, delivers a bold new vision of Salem -- and an even bolder new vision of witches.

The hourlong entry hails from Fox 21, the cable studio responsible for such cable dramas as "Homeland" and "Sons of Anarchy," and was initially developed at FX. Production is set to begin in the fall, with a plan to premiere on WGN in 2014.

“Brannon and Adam have an amazing vision for the world and characters that comprise Salem, Massachusetts, during the witch trials; and we believe that a great adventure full of supernatural, romance, and action awaits the viewer,"said WGN America's newly installed president Matt Cherniss, who joined the company after a stint on the feature side at Warner Bros. Before that, he spent several years in top programming posts at both Fox and cable sibling FX. The new position reunites him with his former boss, Tribune CEO Peter Liguori.

“As we expand our cable television business through Fox 21, we are always on the lookout for new opportunities, and we couldn't be prouder to be the first studio to produce an original scripted series for WGA America,” noted Twentieth Century Fox Television chairmen Dana Walden and Gary Newman.

Fox 21 president Bert Salke added, “'Salem' is a passion project of ours at Fox 21, and Matt and Peter’s enthusiasm for it was instantaneous and incredibly gratifying. "Salem," which was formerly titled "Malice," was created and written by WME-repped Braga and Simon, who will serve as executive producers alongside Prospect Park’s Josh Barry and Jeff Kwatinetz.

Another sliver of poster art for the remake of the 1981 Bill Lustig classic Maniac has come our way, and though it's nothing new, it's always good to see everything. Especially when the movie is as good as this one truly is. Check it out!

Franck Khalfoun directs the script by Alexandre Aja and Gregory Levasseur, which stars Elijah Wood. Nora Arnezeder (Safe House) co-stars in Maniac (review here).

The news comes from The Wrap, which lists the sequel on a list of fourteen film productions and seventeen TV productions that have been conditionally approved to receive California tax credits. The list also confirms a fourth season of MTV's "Teen Wolf" series.

Warner Bros. Entertainment has revealed that Mortal Kombat's Scorpion will be a new DLC character in Injustice: Gods Among Us. Players will be able to step into the shoes of this epic character on Xbox Live and PSN. Read on to learn more.

New touch-screen power-ups, plant food that supercharges plants, and novel new game mechanics that both help and hinder players’ efforts to thwart the zombie hordes will enthrall existing fans and new players alike.

Free to download, Plants vs. Zombies 2 will expand and extend the classic gameplay of the original and provide players with dozens of all-new levels, plants and zombies across multiple worlds at no cost. While the vast majority of the game will be entirely free to play (players can face every zombie and access every level in every world at no cost), Plants vs. Zombies 2 players will also be able to purchase upgrades and other in-game items.

Telltale Games has teased a new character for The Walking Dead. The character's name is Vince, and you can see a short video of what he is to look like. How Vince will be involved in the game's story and when he will appear are still unknown. Read on to see for yourself!

Synopsis:
"UNDER THE DOME" is the story of a small town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The town’s inhabitants must deal with surviving the post-apocalyptic conditions while searching for answers to what this barrier is, where it came from, and if and when it will go away.

The 13-episode summer series will premiere June 24th on CBS. It stars Mike Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre, Dean Norris, Natalie Martinez, Britt Robertson, Alexander Koch, Colin Ford, Nicholas Strong, Jolene Purdy, Ned Bellamy, and Aisha Hinds.

Apparently that extended promo The CW released yesterday for its new series "The Originals" just wasn't enough as they've now provided us with a preview entitled "Jealousy."

Whether or not Episode 1.01 of "The Originals" will be called "Jealousy" isn't clear - but as soon as we get an announcement about the show's premiere date, the ep's title probably won't be too far behind so stay tuned!

Series Synopsis:

With production of Legendary Pictures' forthcoming film Godzilla moving to Oahu in Hawaii, an open casting call went out to locals to be extras, leading to extraordinary long line of folks looking to flee for their lives!

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Richard T. Jones, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, David Strathairn, Patrick Sabongui, Yuki Morita, Brian Markinson, Juliette Binoche, Akira Takarada, Victor Rasuk, C.J. Adams, and Ken Watanabe star.

Gareth Edwards is directing the film from a screenplay by Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont, and Dave Callaham. Legendary’s Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni are producing with Mary Parent and Brian Rogers. Alex Garcia and Patricia Whitcher are serving as executive producers alongside Yoshimitsu Banno and Kenji Okuhira.

Synopsis
Trevor Newandyke is a struggling small-time comedian. Not only does he bomb on stage, but he bombs in everyday life. To him, it’s the little things that matter most. He’s fed up with the threats from the cable company, 7-11 raising the price of the Slurpee, and all the jerks who think they can push him around. All he wants is a break, and for someone to get him. Not everyone, just someone.

But instead of taking a breath and getting himself together or taking his anger to the stage, he turns to the loud din of his headphones and the crackling glow of fire to ease his mind. He’s not only a lousy comic, but a pyromaniac as well. After a typical night disappointing the crowd, he finds that one of his jokes begins to come to life. A fruit salesman posing as the Devil strikes a bargain with Trevor. A golden apple for a joke.

He treasures the apple, seeing it as a sign or a magical object. But after some troubling news he tells the audience that it’s likely just an apple and meaningless. He decides to just eat it. It’s good, too. Makes Trevor feel something. The next day he finally reaches his boiling point during the clamor of his neighbors fighting.

But instead of hiding behind a match or homemade flame thrower, he instead turns to the baseball bat. He not only hits hard against those in his way, but he finds his voice on stage as well. He tells it like it is. No fluff. From here, Trevor lets go. He’s mad as hell, and he’s not going to take it anymore. Of course, deals with the Devil don’t ever turn out well.

The Ford Brothers, the British writing, directing, and producing team behind the acclaimed African-set zombie road movie The Dead, are in post-production with The Dead II: India - the first-ever international production of a zombie film shot in India.

The Dead II: India follows the story of American engineer Nicholas Burton (Joseph Millson) in a race against time to reach his pregnant girlfriend Ishani Sharma (Meenu). Burton enlists the help of an orphan street kid Javed (Anand Goyal) and together they make a perilous 300 mile journey across deadly landscapes as a zombie apocalypse threatens to engulf the entire nation.

Filmed in five weeks, in locations across India, including Rajasthan, Delhi and Mumbai, THE DEAD II: INDIA is a Ford Brothers Film by Latitude Films, in association with Road Trip Pictures and stars Joseph Millson, Meenu, Anand Goyal, Sandip Datta Gupta & Poonam Mathur.
