We've seen the title sequence and the opening moments of BBC America's new series "Orphan Black," which premieres this Saturday, March 30th, and now it's time for a sneak peek of outsider Sarah's transformation into polished but damaged cop Beth.

Synopsis:
Sarah hopes that cleaning out a dead woman’s bank account will solve all her problems. Instead, they multiply at an unnerving rate. Okay, so it's not Scream 5, but it is something, right? Everyone's favorite killer from Woodsboro is about to make his/her/who knows for sure return in a new book from author R.J. Torbert entitled The Face of Fear.

R.J. Outlast will arrive later this year for PC and has proved to be the scariest game yet at this year's PAX East. Players tried out the demo at PAX to find that this game is so terrifying that you may throw down the controller and run off screaming!

Why is the game so scary? Well, the developers have teamed up with researchers to contribute real-world data on mental illness and how players will experience terror through an authentic horror experience in Outlast. Well as PAX EAST proved, people are scared...very scared when it comes to Outlast. Even the most hardcore journalists stated that they may not play the game again, because it was just too damn terrifying!

In the remote mountains of Colorado, horrors wait inside Mount Massive Asylum. A long-abandoned home for the mentally ill, recently re-opened by the “research and charity” branch of the transnational Murkoff Corporation, has been operating in strict secrecy… until now. Acting on a tip from an inside source, independent journalist Miles Upshur breaks into the facility, and what he discovers walks a terrifying line being science and religion, nature and something else entirely. Once inside, his only hope of escape lies with the terrible truth at the heart of Mount Massive.

Thwacke, a group of researchers and scientists providing insights to the gaming industry, and Red Barrels, an independent game developer based in Montreal, today announced a partnership through which Thwacke is contributing real-world data on mental illness and how humans experience terror to create an authentic survival-horror experience in Outlast, set in the Mount Massive Insane Asylum.

“The survival horror genre has seen many changes over the years, but the core is always a cerebral experience that capitalizes on anxiety and startles the player,” said Dr. Maral Tajerian Ph.D., neuroscientist and pain researcher. “Due to the background of certain patients in the Outlast asylum, there are a lot of interesting behaviors that could be unsettling to a player. We believe there is tremendous space to help Red Barrels get creative beyond portraying asylum patients as thugs.”

“By providing us with research and insights on criminally-insane patients, as well as historical asylum layouts and techniques, Thwacke is helping us make Outlast’s gameplay both scary and scientifically grounded,” said Philippe Morin, Red Barrels co-founder. “The more grounded it is, the more believable the world we’re building will be.”

The traditionally oppressive atmosphere of an asylum did not typically start and end with the mentally ill; another factor was the often-questionable research carried out by asylum caretakers. In order to immerse the player in this atmosphere, the team at Red Barrels has taken full advantage of history by translating several aspects of real-world research facilities into Outlast.

“We think with an accurate depiction of facilities, we’ll be able to explain more methods to the madness happening in Outlast,” added Kevin Neibert, pharmacologist.

"They've been a seemingly bottomless font of everything I need for this story: psychoses, paranoia, and violent perversion,” said J.T. Petty, Outlast scriptwriter. “With their experience in psychology and emerging technologies, Thwacke has brought the ideas we reveal frighteningly close to the realm of the possible."

Some more casting news has come in for HBO's "True Blood" as "House" star Karolina Wydra has signed on to play Violet, a strong, sexy, possibly dangerous vamp on par with the Eric Northmans and Bill Comptons of the world.

She joins the previously announced newbies Rutger Hauer (as a mysterious figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason), "Rubicon"’s Arliss Howard (as Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell), "Friday Night Lights" star Jurnee Smollett-Bell (as do-gooder Nicole). and "90210"’s Amelia Rose Blaire (as Howard’s onscreen daughter).

Synopsis

A couple of weeks ago we were one of the few sites to get behind the worthwhile movement to get classic Godzilla actor Akira Takarada a role in the new Godzilla movie, which is now filming in Canada. We made some noise. You made some noise. Well, guess what?

Some more original genre programming is making its way to Netflix, this time from the duo who brought us The Matrix trilogy, Andy and Lana Wachowski. Read on to find out what horrors are in store for those of you with "Sense8."

Netflix will bring Georgeville Television’s “Sense8,” a gripping global tale of minds linked and souls hunted, exclusively to its members to watch instantly in late 2014.

The 10-episode Season One of “Sense8” marks the first foray into television by the Wachowskis, the creative geniuses behind Bound, The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, V for Vendetta, Speed Racer and Cloud Atlas, and is the latest project from veteran showrunner J. Michael Straczynski, creator of the Hugo Award-winning “Babylon 5″ TV series whose film credits include Changeling, Thor and Underworld: Awakening.

"Sense8" is being produced by Georgeville Television, in association with Studio JMS. Formed in 2012, Georgeville Television currently has two series in pre-production, including NBC’s "Crossbones" starring John Malkovich. The Marvel Minimates in Diamond Select Toys' upcoming "Strange Tales" box set were inspired by classic Marvel horror comics of yesteryear, but until today they have been only legend. However, new photographic evidence has surfaced...

Joey King (Crazy, Stupid, Love), Shanley Caswell (Detention), Haley McFarland (TV’s “Lie to Me”), Mackenzie Foy (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn), and newcomer Kyla Deaver play the Perrons’ five daughters, and Sterling Jerins (upcoming World War Z) is the Warrens’ little girl, Judy.

James Wan (Saw, Insidious) directs from a screenplay by Chad Hayes and Carey W. Hayes (The Reaping). The film is produced by Peter Safran, Tony DeRosa-Grund, and Rob Cowan with Walter Hamada and Dave Neustadter serving as executive producers. Reuniting with the director are members of his Insidious creative team, director of photography John Leonetti, editor Kirk Morri, and costume designer Kristin M. Burke, and his Saw production designer, Julie Berghoff. The music is composed by Joseph Bishara.

New Line Cinema presents an Evergreen Media Group/Safran Company Production of a James Wan Film: The Conjuring. The film will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

The film opens in the US and the UK on July 19, 2013.

Image Entertainment suggests you sleep with one eye open as your worst nightmares come to life in The Wicked. A group of curious teenagers decide to seek out their town’s local legend and go on the hunt for a child-eating witch, not realizing they could be her next meal! Directed by Peter Winther, the film stars Devon Werkheiser (Beneath the Darkness), Justin Deeley ("90210"), Nicole Forester (The Double), and Cassie Keller (A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas). The DVD release is set for April 30th with an SRP of $27.97.

Local stories warn that deep in the woods a witch with a ravenous hunger feeds on the flesh of the young. In an abandoned house in the woods, she hunts her victims…and if you try to enter, you'll never see daylight again. When another child goes missing, a group of local teenagers decide to find out if the urban legend is true. What starts out as a meaningless dare turns into a blood-spattered fight for survival against a mistress of darkness in this unrelenting nightmare from which you may never wake up!

Despite the fact that the last trailer we saw for The Host was called the "final" one, we have another for you to check out along with several clips and TV spots that popped up online over the past few days.

Open Road Films is releasing The Host, based on Stephenie Meyer's novel, on March 29, 2013, in the US. Look for it in the UK on the same day from Entertainment Film Distributors. It was directed by Andrew Niccol, who also wrote the screenplay.

The Host stars Saoirse Ronan, Diane Kruger, William Hurt, Jake Abel, Max Irons, Boyd Holbrook, and Frances Fisher.

Synopsis:
The Host is a riveting story about the survival of love and the human spirit in a time of war. Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact. Most of humanity has succumbed.

When Melanie (Ronan), one of the few remaining "wild" humans, is captured, she is certain it is her end. Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, was warned about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the glut of senses, the too-vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.
