“I’ll tell you a couple of things. We will have Gipsy 2.0 for sure,” del Toro explained. “Second thing is you’re gonna see a merging of Kaiju and Jaeger. And that is quite special. Just think about it for a second... We sent Gipsy to the other side, right? It exploded, but whatever remains stays there. We’ve drifted with a Kaiju brain. Well, then start riffing on that and you’ll get to something.”

The producing team on THE NIGHT VISITOR includes Mark Gantt, Brianne Davis, Jennifer Blanc-Biehn, Mark Burnham, Kate Rees Davies, Lony Ruhmann, and Michael Biehn for Blanc/Biehn Productions. Ruhmann wrote the story as well, and Blanc-Biehn says, "Lony is not only an executive producer, but he has a distinct vision and is a creative force."

The cast is led by Brianne Davis (Prom Night, Among Friends, Jarhead), Vedette Lim (Halo 4, "True Blood"), Gary Cairns (Hero Wanted, “Justified”), Jennifer Blanc-Biehn (“Dark Angel”, Wrong Cops, The Victim), Mark Gantt (The Bannen Way, Ocean’s 11), and Tara Buck (“True Blood”, “Justified”, Tomorrow You’re Gone). The film introduces young actor Hudson Pischer, and yes, that's Michael Biehn making a special appearance in the teaser.

Anticipation for the film overseas is high in the wake of the husband and wife duo’s latest success, THE VICTIM, and their currently shooting remake of Chilean director Patricio Valladares’ HIDDEN IN THE WOODS. Buyers will get their first glimpses of THE NIGHT VISITOR, currently in post-production, in Toronto.

Synopsis
When a suburban couple hires a new age spiritualist to help with their troubled marriage, her advice to video their lives 24/7 to help reunite the family turns out to reveal their son is having conversations with an unseen entity, calling itself the Night Visitor. Synopsis:
In this humorous fantasy adventure from IndieVest Pictures, Joe (Ryan Kwanten) is a heavy metal rocker who’s just gone through a painful breakup with his girlfriend, Beth (Margarita Levieva). His concerned roommates (Steve Zahn, Peter Dinklage) kidnap him to their LARP (Live Action Role Playing) gathering, where he enters a realm of fantasy escapism in which pretend knights, elves, and barbarians clash with foam weaponry on a mock battlefield. When Joe’s “sorcerer” roommate (Zahn) inadvertently summons a deadly succubus that takes Beth’s seductive form, bloody reality crashes down upon their fantasy world. Once LARPers start to turn up dead, the make-believe wizards and warriors must become the real life heroes they have been pretending to be in order to conquer the evil that has been unleashed.

Are we the only ones who tune out when Alcide shows up on "True Blood"? He appears in one of these three clips from Episode 6.07, "In the Evening," but don't that let dissuade you from watching. There's some good stuff here!

Several new posters and a brand new clip have come in for the absolutely terrifying looking Gravity, and this flick has quickly risen to the very top of our "Oh my god! We have to see this!" list. Is it on yours?

No, we are not talking about the 1980 Ulli Lommel flick, the awful 2005 flick (or its senseless sequels, though the third wasn't too bad), or even the failed worm-eating WWE grappler. What we have here could be the most terrifying iteration of the mythical character yet, if only because it's on a kids' channel.

According to Deadline, Nickelodeon Original Films has acquired the supernatural family pitch Boogeymen from writer John Sullivan. Described as a Men in Black-style adventure (UGH!) involving a fearful kid who partners up with the Boogeyman to investigate paranormal activity (double UGH!), the film has Howard Deutch (Pretty In Pink) attached to direct.

Look for more on this one unfortunately soon. I just feel dirty.

Who knew that carrying the seed of the beast could end up being so damned funny? A new clip in support of the new horror comedy from Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant, entitled Hell Baby, has arrived; and we're happy to deliver it to ya!

We here at DC are massive fans of Pete Travis’ Dredd (review), which contained a level of ultra violent sci-fi badassery and satire unseen since Paul Verhoeven's RoboCop.

And though it died a most undeserving death at the box office, it found a massive audience on home video, numbers that stars Karl Urban and writer Alex Garland are using as leverage to get a worthy sequel made.

Synopsis

Synopsis:
In the waning days of World War II, a battalion of Russian soldiers find themselves lost in enemy territory. Stumbling upon a village decimated by an unseen terror, they discover that a mad scientist (Hellboy's Karel Roden) conducts experiments to fuse flesh and steel, creating an unstoppable army of undead soldiers. Leaderless and faced with dissention amongst their dwindling ranks, they must find the courage to face down an altogether new menace - or die trying.

It took the death of his family for Marc Abel to join the SS, but it was Viktor Frankenstein who found the man’s true worth. Stealing him away from the front lines, Viktor and Marc set about on the gory task of robbing mass graves to feed the mad doctor’s ever-growing army of the undead. Go back and change one thing, and you change everything. Thus is the basic definition of The Butterfly Effect, which was pulled off with varying degrees of success in the 2004 film of the same name. Not content with just leaving things be, it's time once again for change.

According to Variety, FilmEngine and Benderspink are teaming to reboot The Butterfly Effect with original writer-director Eric Bress on board to pen the new script. No director is yet attached.

The original sci-fi thriller, starring Ashton Kutcher and Amy Smart, was a solid performer for New Line with a worldwide box office of $96 million on a budget of $13 million along with a pair of direct-to-DVD sequels.

Bress and J. Mackeye Gruber co-directed and co-wrote the original. Kutcher portrayed a character who had the ability to travel back in time and change the present by changing what he had done in his past — but found that changing several childhood traumas created unintended consequences.
