Sharknado starred a cast member of the original “Beverly Hills 90210”. Now b-movie director David DeCoteau is unleashing a killer shark in the zip code of the young, rich, and impossibly good-looking. How many buff and beautiful celebutantes will survive this 90210 Shark Attack?

We’ve now reached a point with every new killer shark b-movie that I find myself asking if this movie is trying cash in on the Sharknado train or if it's merely par for the course. The low-budget shark sub-genre has truly become that prolific.

A Spanish-language website called Teenage Thunder (thankfully, not a porn site with a name like that) broke the news regarding David DeCoteau’s 90210 Shark Attack. Or I should say they broke the news regarding the artwork and the cast because I have no clue what the plot is. A shark terrorizes Beverly Hills is probably all the plot you need.

Starring in the film will be Donna Wilkes (Jaws 2), Jeffrey Decker (Sharknado), Rachel Rosenstein (Sharkproof), “Survivor” contestant Judson “Fabio” Birza, “Big Brother” contestant Braden Bacha, Stephanie Shemaski (A Magic Puppy), and Nikki Breanne Wells ("Anger Management").

Am I alone in being disappointed that he didn’t manage to snag a cast member of either the original “90210” or its recently cancelled CW network reboot?

Now feast your eyes on the 90210 Shark Attack artwork and marvel that it didn’t come straight out of a pack of bubble gum cards circa 1979.

A new poster has arrived for Godzilla that, while he does have his back turned to us (shy devil!), gives us our best look at the beast yet. Check it out, and help us figure out how to fill our days until May!

The artwork comes courtesy of Yahoo! Movies, who point out that with regard to Godzilla's size, "he towers ... over his target city of San Francisco, easily twice as big as its tallest building, the Transamerica Pyramid — and, as that skyscraper stands at 48 floors, that makes Godzilla himself about 100 stories high." We're not entirely sure that's accurate, but if so, wow!

Gareth Edwards (Monsters) directs an all-star cast that includes Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Johnson, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Ken Watanabe, Richard T. Jones, Sally Hawkins, Akira Takarada, Victor Rasuk, Yuki Morita, C.J. Adams, and Gary Chalk.

In theaters May 16, 2014, an epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

Making his first appearance in 1954 (Gojira), Godzilla is a giant monster that lives in the sea that comes from the ocean to feed on mankind.

The CW has revealed the first two cast members of its "Supernatural" spinoff, "Supernatural: Tribes," and one of them will be a very familiar face for those of you who also watch the network's previous spinoff, "The Originals."

Per Deadline, Australian actor Nathaniel Buzolic (pictured right) and UK-born Lucien Laviscount have landed the leads in "Supernatural: Tribes," which will air as an episode of "Supernatural" on April 29th.

Buzolic portrayed Kol in "The Originals" and its parent show, "The Vampire Diaries," while Laviscount (pictured below) honed his craft in such UK series as "Coronation Street" and "Waterloo Road" as well as appearing in "Episodes" on Showtime.

Written by Andrew Dabb and directed by Robert Singer, "Supernatural: Tribes" centers around the various Mafia-esque monster families that, unknowingly to humans, “run” the underbelly of Chicago and are being tracked by a newly-minted hunter who’s trying to stop them and rid Chicago of anything or anyone supernatural.

Buzolic plays David Hayden, a shapeshifter from one of Chicago’s ruling monster families, who has been living as a human, having given up the monster life years ago.

Laviscount plays Ennis Roth. When his fiancée is killed in the crossfire of the monster war, the resolute police academy trainee learns the truth about what lurks in the shadows and becomes a monster hunter himself.

The acclaimed comic thriller Cheap Thrills will be available exclusively on the Movies On Demand platform of Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Cox Communications, and Bright House Networks cable systems beginning February 21st, prior to its March 21st theatrical and digital VOD release. Cheap Thrills joins a select few titles to receive pre-theatrical debuts exclusively on cable.

Synopsis
Cheap Thrills follows Craig (Pat Healy), a struggling family man who loses his low-wage job and is threatened with eviction. In an effort to delay facing the music at home, he heads to a local bar and encounters an old friend (Ethan Embry). The two friends are roped into a round of drinks by a charismatic and obscenely wealthy stranger (David Koechner) along with his mysterious wife (Sara Paxton). The couple engages the two friends in a series of innocent dares in exchange for money over the course of the evening, with each challenge upping the ante in both reward and boundaries. It seems like easy and much needed money, but the couple’s twisted sense of humor pushes just how far Craig and his friend are willing to go for money and cheap thrills.

Badass action star Vin Diesel is getting ready to tango with a coven of witches in Summit Entertainment's The Last Witch Hunter, which Breck Eisner (The Crazies) is directing. Vin Diesel vs. witches, you say? Count us right the hell in!

Synopsis

We were recently bummed to discover that Rob Zombie would be following up Lords of Salem with a hockey movie called Broad Street Bullies rather than another horror flick. Fortunately, those plans have gone up in smoke. Read on!

In a highly interesting interview with New Zealand's 3 News, Zombie revealed that Broad Street Bullies is off the table and he's decided to instead stay true to his roots. After working on the hockey film for nearly two years, Zombie was hit with an idea for a horror movie, which ultimately ended up winning out.

He describes that he pitched the idea to producers over the phone, and since they were totally on board with it, it became his new priority. "That turned into a weird bidding war," he says, "and that became the next film."

Though he didn't reveal any plot details, Zombie did tease that his next horror movie will be cut from a similar cloth as a previous film he made, which is my personal favorite piece of his work to date.

"I think it's something fans of the other stuff will like," he revealed. "Probably fans of The Devil's Rejects will enjoy [it] the most. It's not connected to that film, but it's more on that headspace."

Sounds great to me!

After being followed up by an indirect sequel and then finding its head on the remake chopping block, the original I Spit on Your Grave is going to be the next horror film to receive the retrospective documentary treatment. Read on for details!

Released in 1978, I Spit on Your Grave is of course one of the most talked about and controversial horror movies of all time, centering around the brutal rape of young writer Jennifer Hills, who exacts ample doses of bloody revenge on her attackers.

Presented from the unique point of view of Terry Zarchi, director Meir Zarchi's son, the documentary will tell never-before-told stories about the production, and star Camille Keaton (pictured with Terry Zarchi above) is attached to appear in it.

"Growing up with I Spit on Your Grave has inspired me to tell the story behind the story," says Terry. "This is perhaps the most misunderstood film of all time, and Camille Keaton’s involvement will shed some light on the many questions still surrounding the film."

Will we finally find out whose luscious rear end was pictured on the infamous poster for the film? Only time will tell!

Synopsis

More casting news has arrived for Season 2 of "Under the Dome" on CBS, and based on a previous semi-spoiler for the show, the character in question is sure to shake things up quite a bit!

Per TV Guide, Sherry Stringfield ("ER,""CSI") will play Pauline, a mysterious woman who may be connected to the origins of the dome. Previously the Guide teased the return of the eccentric Pauline Rennie, aka Junior's mom and Big Jim's presumed-dead wife, so you can see what we meant about shaking things up.

"I'm thrilled after all these years to be working again with Sherry Stringfield," said executive producer Neal Baer. "We had a blast on 'ER' together, and I know Sherry will bring the same grace, spirit, and intensity to her new, pivotal role on 'Under the Dome'."

Stringfield, who will recur in multiple episodes, joins previously announced Season 2 additions Eddie Cahill, Grace Victoria Cox, and Karla Crome.

"Under the Dome" returns on Monday, June 30th, and plans to kill off two "favorites" in its Stephen King-penned Season 2 premiere.

Some quick news has come in regarding the latest film from Adam Gierasch and Jace Anderson entitled Schism. The flick has been retitled to Fractured and will be opening on April 4 via Seven Arts.

Fractured is written by Adam Gierasch and his partner, Jace Anderson (both of whom teamed for Night of the Demons and Autopsy), with Gierasch once again in the director's chair. Callum Blue ("Smallville"), Vinnie Jones (Snatch, Midnight Meat Train), and Ashlynn Yennie (The Human Centipede) star.

Synopsis
Dylan White leads an easy, if unambitious life: He has a good job that doesn’t require much thought and a girlfriend who wants only so much commitment. The world doesn’t demand much of him and he’s okay with that… until terrifying experiences intrude upon his everyday life. Are they visions, nightmares, glimpses into another world? Forced onto a journey of self-discovery that takes him into the seedy underbelly of crime-ridden New Orleans, Dylan discovers that his life is not what it seems.

Why in the world we need a remake of The Raid right now is baffling. The original film did well when released here a couple of years ago, and there was so much action no one even complained about the subtitles. Besides, if you really wanna see an American version, go watch Dredd.

In any event, The Wrap is reporting that The Expendables 3's Patrick Hughes is in negotiations to direct The Raid remake for Screen Gems and XYZ films. Brad Inglesby (Out of the Furnace) wrote the script.

Casting has yet to begin, but the Hemsworth brothers - Liam, Chris, and Luke – have been mentioned as possible targets for the hard-hitting action movie!

Original Synopsis
Deep in the heart of Jakarta's slums lies an impenetrable safe house for the world's most dangerous killers and gangsters. Until now, the rundown apartment block has been considered untouchable. Cloaked under the cover of pre-dawn darkness and silence, an elite swat team is tasked with raiding the safe house in order to take down the notorious drug lord that runs it. But when a chance encounter with a spotter blows their cover and news of their assault reaches the drug lord, they find themselves stranded on the 6th floor with no way out. The unit must fight their way through the city's worst to survive their mission.

On tap right now is another foreign horror treat for you cats, this time of the Dutch variety. Get on those bathing suits, head up to the diving board, and jump in for your first look into The Pool (De Poel).

Chris W. Mitchell directs from a script he wrote with Gijs Scholten van Aschat, who also stars in the film. Katja Herbers, Bart Klever, Carine Crutzen, Jamie Grant, Alex Hendrickx, and Chris Peters co-star.

Two families go camping illegally in a forest and set up their tents near a beautiful pond, far away from the daily hubbub. However, they soon discover that the pond contains a mysterious force, which will not allow them to leave. Rot and decay strike, and madness follows.

Just when you think you've seen every single piece of promotional artwork from The Evil Dead series, something new rears its head like Cheryl trapped below the chained basement door.

The unique one-sheet you can find below was pulled from Sam Sarowitz's book Translating Hollywood. Obviously this Japanese version of the Army of Darkness movie poster took quite a few liberties with the original artwork, including adding Bruce Campbell soup cans (only available at S-Mart, I would assume). Nice touch.

And is that Bill Moseley I see as the Deadite Captain by Ash's knee amongst the other action shots from the film?

Blumhouse Productions returns to haunted house territory with Home, which has just signed on a new resident. Read on for the latest casting details!

The Wrap reports that Genesis Rodriguez (Identity Thief, The Last Stand) has inked a deal to star alongside the previously reported Topher Grace.

Patricia Clarkson is also in negotiations to co-star in the film, which is to be directed by Dennis Iliadis (Last House on the Left remake).

Adam Alleca penned the script that centers on a man (Grace), recently released from a mental institution, who inherits a mansion after his parents die. After a series of disturbing events, he comes to believe it is haunted.

Jason Blum is producing with Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Killoran, and Graham King.
