Fear Film and the award-winning filmmakers that brought you Creepy Crawly are teaming up again, this time with the supernatural thriller It Waits.

Written and directed by Robert J. Massetti, It Waits tells the story of two roommates who encounter a mischievous demon. “The film will be a fun and scary ride,” said Massetti.“I’m so lucky to be able to work with an incredibly talented team again.”

The film reunites Massetti with Beware writer/director Jason Daly, who took on producing duties for the film.

April is set to be a big month for theatrical horror with the release of both Oculus and Hammer's The Quiet Ones. As we await the double dose of paranormal terror, today we've got a brand spankin' new clip of the latter for ya, which sees Olivia Cooke conjuring up something otherworldly.

Horror stalwarts Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog, Creepshow), Tobin Bell (Saw series, Dark House), and Bill Oberst, Jr. (Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies, Take This Lollipop), are guest starring in an episode of “Criminal Minds,” entitled “Blood Relations.” This episode premieres Wednesday, April 2nd, at 9pm on the CBS Television Network. Series star Matthew Gray Gubler directed the episode, which was written by “Criminal Minds” producer Breen Frazier.

The official episode synopsis from CBS reads: "When two murder victims are found in a backwoods community in West Virginia, the BAU uncovers a long-simmering feud between two families, and they must investigate which side could be responsible for the deaths."

Details are sparse about the roles Barbeau, Bell and Oberst will play. Director Matthew Gray Gubler tweeted this while directing the episode: "The ‘Criminal Minds’ I'm currently directing will HAUNT YOU FOREVER! Do not watch it alone."

We knew BBC America would be airing Season 2 of "In the Flesh" sometime this year, and now the official premiere date has arrived along with a "first look" teaser video and a few more details of what's coming.

The expanded six-episode new season of "In the Flesh" will debut on Saturday, May 10th, at 10/9c immediately following a new episode of "Orphan Black," only on BBC America.

Over the last two decades the leaders of our world have been lying to us non-stop. Spying, covering things up, you name it! Apparently the same is true in the world of Godzilla as this snazzy new one-sheet demands that we know the truth!

In theaters May 16, 2014, an epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

Making his first appearance in 1954 (Gojira), Godzilla is a giant monster that lives in the sea that comes from the ocean to feed on mankind.

Screen Daily is reporting that more cast members have joined the new film from director Eli Morgan Gesner, Condemned. According to the site, Johnny Messner (pictured), Ronen Rubinstein, Shawn Christensen, Jon Abrahams, and Jordan Gelber have all been cast.

They join the previously announced Dylan Penn, Lydia Hearst, and Honor Titus. Genevieve Hudson-Price, Anthony Chisholm, Kevin Kirkwood, Kea Ho, and Michael Drayer also star.

In the film Dylan Penn will play the lead role of “Maya, the youngest member of a group of kids who live in a condemned, filthy squat in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. After an infection originating from their own waste hits the building’s residents, the people inside lose their mind and go on murderous rampages.”

This past weekend the Emerald City Comicon took place in Seattle, and while the horror news coming out of it was pretty light, we do have word on a new series heading our way from Mike Mignola, Christopher Golden, and Dark Horse entitled Baltimore: The Witch of Harju.

Baltimore: The Witch of Harju Issue #1 goes on sale in comic shops July 30th.

Never mind ghosts, demons, and demonic possessions! Wanna know what's really scary? Lawyers! A team of which have just swooped in to try to put a stop to any and all sequels to the James Wan mega hit The Conjuring.

Variety reports that Warner Bros. and New Line have been hit with a copyright lawsuit seeking to block production of sequels.

The suit, filed Friday by Evergreen Media Group and Tony Derosa-Grund in federal court in Houston, alleges theft of the underlying rights to the case files of real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. For its part, Warner said that the suit is “improper” and noted that New Line filed a claim against Evergreen last year over rights to a “Conjuring” TV series that has gone to arbitration.

“New Line has been and is vigorously defending itself against these spurious claims in a binding arbitration proceeding in Los Angeles, and therefore the Texas filing is both procedurally and substantively improper,” the studio said.

New Line has set its Conjuring sequel for a pre-Halloween release on October 23, 2015, with Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga returning to star. The yet-to-be titled sequel does not have a director yet.

New Line has already started filming Annabelle, a spin-off based on the possessed doll introduced in The Conjuring.

Evergreen Media said in the new suit that New Line was only granted rights on less than 1% of the case files of the Warrens’ stories in exchange for a purchase price for each theatrical production as well as crediting and employing DeRosa-Grund as producer.

“Plaintiffs and New Line successfully developed and produced a hit theatrical motion picture entitled ‘The Conjuring’ based on one of the selected case files,” the suit said. “Defendants, however, now seek to reap all of the profits from ‘The Conjuring’ while denying their financial obligations and failing to pay any profits to Plaintiffs.”

“New Line has acted in bad faith and breached its agreement with Plaintiffs by, among other things, failing to pay for the underlying rights and stealing those rights to make additional films, both theatrical films covered by the agreements as well as direct-to-video films that are not covered by the agreements, without compensating Plaintiffs or including Mr. DeRose-Grund as producer.”

The suit also alleges that Warner and New Line have refused to pay Evergreen the 5% profit participation that it’s due for The Conjuring under the producer agreement.

Additionally, the suit asserts that because of the dispute over the TV rights, Lionsgate has withdrawn from a proposed “Conjuring” TV series with Evergreen.

“As a direct consequence of Defendants’ deliberate actions and interference, Evergreen is unable to collect the compensation owed under its agreement with Lionsgate and has suffered monetary damages that reach well into the millions of dollars,” it said.

The lawsuit alleges that Warner Bros. has committed a breach of contract, a breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, tortious interference, fraud in the inducement, promissory estoppel, and conversion. The plaintiffs are seeking damages including the studio’s profits and revenue.

An official one-sheet has arrived for Irish director Ivan Kavanagh's new film, The Canal, which premieres next month at Tribeca. Check it out right here along with all of the previously released goodies.

Mark Canton is producing via his Mark Canton Productions banner along with Bernie Goldmann and Diesel via his One Race Entertainment banner. Erik Feig, Geoff Shaevitz and Matthew Janzen will oversee the project for the studio.

The cast for "The Walking Dead" Season 5 is beginning to firm up as Andrew J. West, Alanna Masterson, and Christian Serratos have been promoted to regular additions on the AMC series.

According to Deadline West, made his debut last night on the Season 4 finale as the mysterious boss of the Terminus. Masterson made her debut earlier in the season as Tara, one of the followers of The Governor, and finally there is Rosita, played by Serratos, who is one of the military crew trying to escort a scientist to Washington, DC with hopes of finding a cure of the zombie infection. Rosita joined the show earlier in the fourth season too. Both Masterson and Serratos joined the series last September with options to join as regulars.

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, "The Walking Dead" stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride, Emily Kinney, Danai Gurira, Chad Coleman, and Sonequa Martin-Green.

For those of us wondering what David Duchovny will be doing once his Showtime series "Californication" comes to an end, the answer has come today; and it involves NBC and Charles Manson! Read on for the details.

NBC has given a straight-to-series 13-episode order for the drama “Aquarius,” starring two-time Golden Globe Award winner David Duchovny in his return to broadcast television.

In this gripping drama series set in the late 1960s, Duchovny stars as a Los Angeles police sergeant with a complicated personal life who starts tracking a small-time criminal and budding cult leader seeking out vulnerable women to join his “cause.” The name of that man is Charles Manson. The twists and turns of a complicated undercover operation will lead Duchovny’s character and his young partner to the brink of Manson’s crimes that will eventually lead to the Tate-LaBianca murders in subsequent seasons.

Writer John McNamara (“In Plain Sight,” “Profit”) will executive produce with Duchovny, Marty Adelstein (“Prison Break,” “Last Man Standing”), and Melanie Greene.

“Event series are a big priority for us, and the combination of a show that charts the lead-up to the Manson murders, along with a television star of the magnitude of David Duchovny, is the very definition of an event,” said Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment. “We’re thrilled to be working with these talented producers, including Marty Adelstein and creator John McNamara, to present something truly original.”

“After being involved in the production of both ‘The X-Files’ and ‘Californication,’ it gives me great pleasure to work with David Duchovny for the third time on this compelling drama,” added Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment. “I’m especially pleased that he wanted to come to NBC, where I know there is a big audience waiting to see him.”

Duchovny is a TV veteran who had a recurring role on the hit show “Twin Peaks” before co-starring for nine seasons as Fox Mulder in the iconic series “The X-Files” with Gillian Anderson. In April he will begin his seventh (and last) season on Showtime’s comedy “Californication.”

“Aquarius” is produced by ITV Studios America in association with Marty Adelstein Productions.
